Hey guys. I've been watching the CDR Database page that everyone thinks will be Dawnguard, and it has updated *twice* today. Once in lieu of the release of 1.7 official, and again to actually name the page in regards to TESV:Skyrim among other minor changes. They are seriously tinkering away at something today...

Edit: The page in question for those new: http://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/211720/show_version:1

Interesting, Still hope for a release tommorow then with the steam update, Fingers crossed!

I note the ref to Dawnguard missions has now been removed with this patch so either having it broke their exclusivity deal or Beth are about to make a lot of losses on their next PC release.
Hasn't anyone thought that it's logical that having "Dawnguard Quests Completed" stats on a non-dawnguard game was a bug? It was probably unintended behaviour in 1.6 that's been corrected with 1.7.

Then again, it COULD be something else, as in to test patches.
Though its doubtful, it is a possibilty.

Been following this for any developments and I see the same people saying the same thing over and over. I sympathize and am not happy but seriously, just relax as there is no way the Beth is not going to release DW. Pete Hines and the PR crew may be on the fail train when it comes to properly wording or defusing a situation but DW will reach us all. It is developed, done, and they will make money off selling it to us so it is common sense. There could be some legal hiccup somewhere, problems with Steam, problems with PSN, an executive decision, etc that is preventing them from giving a definitive answer till sorted. I find it hard to believe that they would be this evasive to just piss everyone off for no reason considering the immense amount of gaming media coverage over every tweet Hines puts out and the, what...18 threads on this by now. They are painfully aware of people wanting more information, rest assured.

I just wanted to hear something from them and I heard enough now to put one and one together and get two. I am confident that it will be out, whenever is cool by me as I have other games to tide me by till then. My only negative sentiment now is that Hines and the echoing crew here seem somewhat condescending in responses but who knows...maybe it is due to pressure from us to say something and frustration at not being able to because of information we are not privy to.

My last posting on this and happy gaming all.

If that happen,i hope they fix that then :turned:

Yeah, I think it's pretty safe to say that this feature bugs out quite badly for some. I've experienced it twice in the space of going from level 10 to level 29. Some report it occurring with freakish regularity, which I can see being hugely annoying.

PC guys may be able to fix it via console, for PS3 guys I'd say delete and redownload. And pray. 0.o

Don't get your hopes up. It'd be nice, but it's quite unlikely.

Skyrim Dawnguard DLC: PS3, PC info expected 'later this week'
Bethesda preparing an announcement about the game's first expansion

Bethesda is expected to provide details on Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC for PS3 and PC players in the coming days.

Having said last week that it hasn't announced Skyrim's Dawnguard DLC for any platform other than Xbox 360, the studio appears to be ready to react to fan pressure for further information.
Bethesda marketing executive Pete Hines took to Twitter today to respond to a fan who asked if Dawnguard for PS3 and PC has been cancelled, or whether players will just have to wait a little longer for its arrival.

"Nothing has been said/announced about it," Hines answered. "We should have info later this week."

Dawnguard launched on Xbox 360 on June 26. Microsoft has a 30 day exclusivity window for the first two Skyrim add-ons.

Using vampiric grip and swimming no longer prevents swimming animation from playing afterwards

Taken from the 1.7 update notes. Updates for all platforms unless stated? Well either this is a typo or this suggests Dawnguard on all platforms, cause last time I checked there is no such thing as Vampiric Grip outside of Vampire Lord form. =)

I'm remaining optimistic about tomorrow, though not expecting anything... but it's good to know that we FINALLY have a general time frame to expect at least an announcement. It's about time, Bethesda. Would it have been so hard to have said this a few days ago?

also

I just thought about it. I don't want to think of it like this, but what are the possibilities of this http://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/211720/show_version:1 being the 1.7 patch, and not Dawnguard? D=

It's listed as a DLC with "DLCForAppID = http://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/72850", which is Skyrim. Patches aren't listed in the CDR database as apps :)

Okay, wasn't sure. Just wanted to be sure. Thank you for the speedy response xD

But still, that patch note lacks an XBox 360 note, which is either a typo or suggests that we'll be getting it as well (we being PC and hopefully PS3 players, I'm a PC person myself), hopefully soon! But only time will tell. Looking forward to an announcement (or maybe release? ;D) in the coming days.

It's obvious we ARE getting dawnguard, the question is just when.

I can't believe people still think bethesda would NOT release it on PC/PS3, why would they do that? what purpose would it serve from a business perspective lol?

I agree and while I don't think hes going to say "sorry we decided not to launch DG on PC/PS3", there is a small chance that the news later this week might not be a actual offical release date. It could be a vague comment like "We are announcing Dawnguard for PC/PS3, we will have more info on the release at a later date"

Just be prepared.. for anything not satisfactory for obvious reasons.

I've heard rumors that Bethesda got 3.5 million dollars from Microsoft in exchange for their exclusivity deal. I suppose that would explain quite a lot, but it's still just a rumor (and I'm not sure if I should believe it myself-after all, those backroom deals aren't entirely legal AFAIK).

i know this is a little off topic but the reason psn takes so long with the patches is to make sure its database is secure and for the patch to work, thats y psn only got hacked once... by anonymous... they were even able to hack the US government while other consoles got hacked much more

and if bethesda takes too long 4 the release ill wish diareah upon them!

if they do that i wont follow anymore websites and/or forums for any info on the dawguard release date any more i have better things to do. and specially if they do that because then i will just buy a other game and probably wont even notice when it is released and even if i do i wont have the money to buy it.
