WTF? Farkas and Torvar out here on the road with an Imperial Courier running back and forth? Do the members of the Companions actually do stuff outside of Jorrvaskr without us? It was 2am and they were heading east.

I've run into Farkas, Torvar and Athir frequently, usually up north somewhere around the Alftand glacial ruins. Also Vilkas and Ria, or even just Vilkas by himself. The Companions are one of the few factions with members that actually seem to work for a living, instead of sending you out to do everything.

Aye, Companions go out (usually in pairs) to have their own little adventures. I kinda liked Vilkas, but I kept seeing him out and about with Ria, so I'm not cooking any Vegetable Soup for him...

He might be getting her out alone at night to try and find out if she'd be interested in his doggie-style.

(Oh, I'm gonna get my post deleted, aren't I?)

Hee. I married Vilkas with an earlier character. But I kept him with me as a follower, so I could keep an eye on him. I have to say, he's really amazing. Nothing like a guy who's screaming "I'll tear your heart out" at your enemies and impaling them on a greatsword one minute, and serving you a full course meal the next. Especially when you have no fire, no food, and no cookware anywhere in the vicinity. Man's got skillz, is what I'm sayin'. Also I've seen him nekkid. Rawr. :P

:D
He's one of my favorite Companion characters. He's got a back story and a cool, hypnotic stare, and as for skillz... can't think of a guy who wouldn't like being able to grow more hair on demand.

 I wouldn't worry - I've typed much worse. Shocking, right? :P

However, this thread is probably about to be locked because of the 200 post limit.

If you marry someone who is also available as a follower, then take them along as a follower, apparently yes. I've only been in that situation with Marcurio and Vilkas but in both cases they retained some of their spouse dialogue options even when in follower mode. I only got the homecooked meals by accident by clicking that option when I was trying to click something else and didn't pay close enough attention to what I was doing. Usually after clearing some dungeon or another, when I'd looted everything and needed to dump some of it on the old ball and chain, lol. If the option for cooking something is there and you click it, they will respond as they normally do in your house and the meal appears in your inventory. It used to crack me up to hear Vilkas or the Magigolo go almost immediately from fierce/snarky partner-in-combat mode to lovey-dovey spouse mode.

He uses a morning star? Sweet.

I've never had a spouse cook for me. Do you select what they cook or is it random? Can you do it over and over or do they get tired of it after 1 or 2?

That sounds kinda' like Bulldog on Frasier when he would freak out violently for a few seconds when he was like looking for his stapler and then immediately calm down when he found it right in front of him.

The other day I ran into some bandits and they were all crying like babies. The subtitles for this was literally Bandit: (sobbing). Must have gotten hold of some bad skooma.
