So, where exactly does BGS get off?..

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 8:24 pm

Just going to throw this out there, and i accept that people may not like it,... but.. No one is forcing you to buy this. If price is an issue then just don't buy it. It may even come down in price eventually, or be included in a bundle with some of the others or whatever.

This game keeps me entertained far more than other games do, and so i'll happily spend money on a way to prolong the experience. At the end of the day, that's my choice.

You have the right to say no, so why bother complaining? It won't solve anything, it'll just enhance the negative feelings that you already have.

(As a side note, i haven't posted for a while either, and have only recently started posting again. The reason i stopped posting was because of all the people that complain and feel like they're constantly being wronged.)

All I have to say is if it's costing us that much, this map better be bigger then Skyrims. NO LIE.

From what i've seen so far it might be HALF the size of Skyrim. I just don't get it.. I imagined ppl would be furious with rage right about now after seeing that (almost like me).

Like I said, map better be bigger then Skyrims or you better have me in Dawnguard for AT LEAST 200 hrs. (very minimal I'll accept)

You're going to be disappointed, guaranteed. Because your expectations aren't realistic.

Did you see his/her post about how it was going to be 'about half the size of skyrim' from 'what they've seen'?

The only suggestion at size in that trailer is when the map pops up. That map looked similar to Skyrims map. If anything the trailer suggests an alternate Skyrim....

1st off... DUDE.. when has a CoD Map pack EVER been 800 pts? I don't play that garbage anymore so I personally wouldn't know.

2nd.. if you all say it's about as big as Point Lookout.. why isn't it 800 pts? You're logics impecable...

1st off dude, cod had 800msp maps a few years back, the last installation to have it being World at War. Heck, its map pack 3 still blows me away.

2nd, map size=/=content.

It is not classified as DLC

Good luck acquiring Dawnguard without downloading it.

I hope you noticed that Oblivion's Shivering Isles DLC was $30... Twice as much as this DLC.

I'm pretty sure its the exact same map, just with a few additions (the fortresses and such, as well as the Oblivion realm. Its probaby very similar to Knights of the Nine.

I think we'll get a new landmass, but i've no idea how big it will be and realistically, neither does anyone else on this forum other than the devs.

Oh boy, that sure made me giggle.

I honestly can't tell if you're serious. If not, bravo. If you are, then i'll just leave it that.

Which really isn't asking all that much if you ask me, it's as much as a pre-owned game, I think you can get Skyrim pre-owned for $30ish( Can ) these days  so $20 really isn't over charging imo

I agree I for one think the vampire abilities n transformation is worth 800-1200MSP tbh but thats just me so ya I can't wait for this dlc and would pay $35 for it if not $40

-There will be new dragons to fight that will be tougher for the player.

-There will be a Lycanthropy tree with new powers, including the "Totem of the Moon" which shall allow werewolves to summon up other fellow werewolves. There is one called "Savage feeding" and "Animal vigor".

-Vampire perk tree

-The vampire Lord is named Harkon.

-They are the Volkihar. His castle is named Castle Volkihar, which also can serve as a home for the player. As well as Castle Dawnguard.

-Harkon attempts to put an end to the sun using the ancient Elder Scrolls.

-We shall make a return to the "Soul Cairn", a realm of the dead seen in Battlespire.

-There will be a new vampiric power where you suspend a foe in the air and drain them(seen in the trailer).

-The Vampire Lord transformation is gained by completing quests, as the companions.

-There will be a new facial transformation feature to modify your face. Race change is not in the game, but players shall now be able to change their appearance.

-Dawnguard is NOT meant for low-level players.

-New enemies such as Armored trolls, death hounds and legendary dragons

-New dragon bone weapons and new shouts

As shown in the leaked gameinformer scans, its worth every penny...
