Besides, I'd happily pay more for the DLC!
I couldn't care less how much it costs. I'd pay $60 for this DLC.

Quiet, you fools! They may be reading this thread! :ahhh:

OP sure is excited about this.

I am, actually. Extremely excited.

Just don't get the price tag, really don't. I'll be getting the DLC, never said I wasn't (so quit telling me to).

You do realize that the Shivering Isles was around the same price (more expensive, if I recall correctly) as Dawnguard, right?

You do realize that SI wasn't the FIRST add-on/expansion for Oblivion... right? And yes I PAID for SI when it came out I didn't just willy nilly get it with the GotY Edition like everyone else.

Just find it a bit fishy they would outright charge 20$ for their 1st expansion/DLC...

One day the quacking, save-deleting ducks will come for you.

You will look up and shout "Save me!"

And I'll whisper "No..."

Sorry, couldn't resist.

So if they released Horse Armor DLC first for 5 bucks you'd be all smiles?

All I have to say is if it's costing us that much, this map better be bigger then Skyrims. NO LIE.

From what i've seen so far it might be HALF the size of Skyrim. I just don't get it.. I imagined ppl would be furious with rage right about now after seeing that (almost like me).

Like I said, map better be bigger then Skyrims or you better have me in Dawnguard for AT LEAST 200 hrs. (very minimal I'll accept)
Are you serious? How entitled can you get? Compare this to a map pack of 5 multiplayer levels for $15. Jeez. Save yourself the trouble and don't purchase it.

Not everyone bought it with the DLC, I also bought it right when it came out without complaining.

$20 is nothing. If the theory is that Skyrim has 300 hours worth of playing time in it and the DLC will contain about 20% of the content of Skyrim then that means we'll be getting some 60 hours of gameplay for twenty bucks.

I've already played Skyrim for an embarrassing amount of hours. The by-the-hour cost at this point is pennies for me. Frankly, I'm so pathetic I'd have probably paid $40 for the DLC. And as others have mentioned, Beth is in the business to make money, not to lose buckets of it. The more money they make, the better it is for us.

OP....not sure if serious....

But anyway, cool story, bro. Also, since you just said you are buying it for full price, why are you complaining to us? Cognitive dissonance getting to you?

We do not agree with you, but thanks for sharing your crazy opinion!

Wasn't The Shivering Isles $29.99?

Dawnguard is a deal at $20.00 really, it's supposed to be roughly the size of the isles too right?
This isn't some 800 Microsoft point map pack or something, it's an expansion.

I don't like the price point either, but there's no sense whining about it. BGS doesn't owe you anything. They make a product and if you decide you want it, you either pay the price they're asking or go do something else with your free time and cash.

You'll be learning plenty more on Dawnguard next week, and Todd will be talking about how big the game is.

Are people seriously mad about this? In an age where companies pump out DLC faster than rabbits pump out babies, that provide no content for high prices. Bethesda is actually going to provide a solid expansion for a low price, and people are mad? Fine. If you guys don't like $20 on the only DLC all year that's actually worth it's pricetag, then don't buy it. Simple enough.
Alex is right. It's a reasonable price for a DLC with actual content. If the vampire story is not your style then don't buy it.

Big, as in the landmass or the amount of gameplay hours?

I'd rather have a smaller, more complete and fleshed out area than a big sparse area where it's obvious they didn't do much to make it interesting.

Quality over quantity.
