You'll be learning plenty more on Dawnguard next week, and Todd will be talking about how big the game is.

I think it tells us quite a bit that you refer to it as a game, not just an add on

heyyyy there vsions! I can see you.

Ready for next week?

:( awww... I scared him off.

This,

I would have bought the DLC for $30 dollars. I think it was nice of bethesda to give it to us relatively cheap.
The money will go to further improving the game anyways.

I can't even beleive you'd even complain about a 20 dollar pricing... I have a feeling in my gut this is going to be the same size and if not then just a bit relativley smaller than Shivering Isles was, and that was 30 dollars well spent my friend, when has a Bethesda DLC ever disappointed you? You know what... Don't even answer that... >.>

$20 is a lot for DLC. Hopefully it is 1/3 the size of skyrim (which I doubt it will be.) Or has enough content to make me feel like $20 is worth it. And if these things aren't true then Beth would regain my appreciation by releasing free patches with content like 1.6 patch.

$20 is alot for dlc if you look at what most companies do, but Bethesda tend to favor larger experiences so I would not worry about that. I'd pay double that if the content is of equal size to the Shivering Isles, because that just as dlc was bigger than most other full games are...... let alone dlc.

I played SI for about 70 hours on my main Oblivion character and that is longer than 99% of other games :tes:

20 dollars is cheap.

This is going to be like buying a whole new game.

Maybe not as long as skyrim, but better quality and length than most modern games.

We get to go back to Oblivion
We get 2 new castle areas *one for each side to sleep in n get bonuses*
New horse
New Dragons
[censored] werewolf perks/abilities
Vampire Lord transformation perks/abilities *no more being hated as "regular vampire" F YES
New weapons/Armour
Mounted Combat
Ability to change facial features
Many more hours of gameplay, I am guessing atleast 25-35 or so
If all of this does indeed make it into Dawnguard, I wonder what Bethesda might add in future add-ons?

$20 seems reasonable, though I wouldn't want to pay more than that, as I don't want to end up paying more for dlc than the main game (all dlc combined).

To compare with Oblivion: it's halfway in price between Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles, so I'd assume it would be about halfway in-between content wise. Two extended quest lines (for the Dawnguard and the Vampires) plus some added real estate (two castles plus at least part of a plane of oblivion confirmed) for $20 USD sounds about right.

With this 1600 MSP [censored]? We waited 8 months just to get word of any info whatsoever..

Get this amazing sneak peak trailer, which made me extremely, EXTREMELY excited! Then I happen to go over to the "Details" about the video and it states just that.

I myself haven't personally been here in a long, long time because my Laptop recently died on me. But once I saw this atrocity.. I had to say something.

So, why exactly are we paying DOUBLE what we normally do for your add-ons? I'm hella curious...
All I have to say is if it's costing us that much, this map better be bigger then Skyrims. NO LIE.

From what i've seen so far it might be HALF the size of Skyrim. I just don't get it.. I imagined ppl would be furious with rage right about now after seeing that (almost like me).

Like I said, map better be bigger then Skyrims or you better have me in Dawnguard for AT LEAST 200 hrs. (very minimal I'll accept)

Man, I hope this is trolling. There's no way people are really this dense, right?

It might be in, Gameinformer HAS been wrong in the past on few things but kinda doubt they are wrong on all that but idk XD

I ain't a Todd worshiper sorry, and I don't like being called anything other than what I am thats why I considered it a insult.

Don't often post here..but seriously?

To give you an idea.

GTA4 had huge DLC (or what I would call expansion packs back in the day), that cost, what, £10 -15 (I forget the exact amount) but set in the same game world.

Arkham City just had an add-on for £7, again set in the same game world.

GTA4's DLC added hours of extra stuff to do.
Arkham City's.....didn't. (See also Saint's Row 3, the Fable series)

So, given that Bethesda are known for giving us add-on's that go the GTA route, rather than the AC route (The Morrowind expansions, Knights of the Nine, Shivering Isles), I fail to see how anybody can be stressed by a £10 - £15 expansion like Dawnguard.

And that was my favourite Fallout 3 DLC. Lets hope it's either that or a little bigger.
Mine too! And it was a seriously good sized play area, tons to explore and do (oh, the bridge!) and bunches of quests. Plus this DLC is incorporating several amazing features that were shown in the week-after programmers fun-bash that are going to carry over into the main game for all of your characters. Think, you could either pay $20 for some seriously pimp DLC every 6 months or so on TES, or you could pay $20 every 2 weeks for a few crappy map packs and then pay more money for the most basic online features on games like COD.

Why are you gettin angry over a 40 dollar dlc? So what you're expecting a whole new elder scrolls game? Its dlc dude jesus!! 40 dollars probably means its 2/3 the size of Skyrim. If that doesnt excite you enough then get the hell out of tes series!!

Where did you see the price listed, is it on these forums I have yet to see it anybody have a link for this?

To answer your question the price might be related to size if its a sizable chunk of gameplay a proper expansion pack then its not that bad but if its not the size of say Shivering Isles, Bloodmoon, or Point Lookout then its a rip off plain and simple as that.

This isn't just some overpriced dlc that is 10 dollars for a single mission *cough* mass effect *cough* This is a full blown expanion pack. And if I seem to remember correctly, expanion pacts cost around 20-30 dollars.
