Did you guys hear? Kinect will change your gameplay experien

:bunny: Your right about that Dance Central :bunny: <--- Never played before but saw

COD does have good marketing I must say.. If it didn't nobody would play it, funny how nobody realized that nothing changed much from the previous game.. In other words its a scam..
Yep. Activision does love overhyping their COD. I thought it was pretty cool when they had Usher at E3. Not a big fan of his, but I think its cool that he worked with Harmonix. I still like Harmonix from the Rock Band days.

I got rock band because my friends had it.. Played it twice.. Then realized, this game is real boring alone...

Yep. I still have a friend who plays Rock Band 3 religiously. Makes me wonder if he ever leaves his house...

Motion Control technology isn't here yet, the WII was cool at first, but then you see flaws. It takes forever to set up, it's a hassle cause most the time you have to move and standup which games are suppose to be about relaxing for most part.

Most games don't even work and ones that do you can do the exact same thing with a regular controller. Only game I have seen that shows motion controls power is Skyward Sword.

The Kinect is just Microsoft trying to drag out the 360 as long as it possibly can. It's not worth a dime to serious gamers

Skyrim Kinect is pretty convenient and actually adds to the game. Being able to switch items on the fly without having to pause the game to go into the favorites adds to the immersion rather than break it. People just like to hate on it.

Nope. I own the Kinect and use it while playing Skyrim. Haven't had to shout at my TV once and it has made the gameplay much better. I hardly have to go into the menus anymore. You're just a hater.

The reason I dont like my Kinect is partially because Bioware games lik DA:O got me hooked into constantly pausing the game to think what I need tactically. I put so many items in my favorite menu its ridiculous. I have it set up so I can pull out most of my weapons and spells without pausing the game, with the exception of shouts, powers, and armor.

I don't think they expect people to go "What's this, more can be done with Kinect! I must buy that expensive camera in a box now!" It's just there to make more money, people with Kinect will be more likely to buy Skyrim for Xbox and It's more reason to buy kinect (That makes about 4)

Kinect is useless. MS could have put more time into making more useful things instead of milking the cash cow within an inch of its life.

Indeed. Kinect was an interesting experiment - but it has run it's course and needs to die.

I will hold firm this opinion towards the product until the actual tech catches up with the ideas.

If you want an example, see any review of the new Steel Battalion game.

..Or, if you're truly brave.. Try it out for yourself. :bonk:

It actually feels like improvement in technology has slowed down as companies like MS and Apple try to make as much money as possible with as little effort. Buy the new ipad, it's 1mm thinner and comes in white, only a 100 pounds/dollars more...

Technology changes very little because their is little motivation for advancement. Why do you think Microsoft refuses to improve their OS when its a PoS? Because they have absolutely no competition

This is the problem. Huge companies have cornered different areas of the market. Lets hope someone like apple will join in the console wars to give them all a kick up the backside.

Hopefully. I would also love to see Valve make a console. Since MS refuses to give us 360 gamers Steam, why not have a system that has the service built in?

What does Steel Battalion have to do with anything? Other than the fact that it's a bad game? You are criticizing the Kinect based on what the third party has done. Could anyone have a clear idea what to expect from the Xbox 360/PS3 when it first launched? Sure, you may have played games like Battlefield 2:Modern Combat and Oblivion, isn't that enough? Fast forward 6 years later and we have Skyrim and Battlefield 3. Game politics aside, those games are a step up technologically from the predecessors while still being on the same device. Doesn't the Kinect also deserve some time? It takes time to conquer a technological beast.

What a shocker, a company is trying to make money by pushing it's product down our throats.

lol its not psuhing it down ur throat by any means and if anything when you see a trailer for Skyrim where you know it will show it being with Kinect than you just ignore it or turn off the video if its online since the everything Skyrim ends BEFORE the Kinect logo appears, same goes for TV, if after everything game related than just change the channel or IGNORE IT! If MS was really pushing it down your poor little throat than they would say it REQUIRES Kinect to PLAY

Actually I was referring more to their shameless plugging of a product I find to be gimmicky and likely short-lived. Kinda like the "Eye Toy" for Playstation 2.

I personally am all for Kinect integration. But if it wasn't so gimmicky id like it. If I really want to use my sensor, I'll play Dance Central 2 or Kinect Sports: Season 2. Kinect is a money making ploy, and it shows because they advertise DLC for their games endlessly. It also doesn't help that in MS Kinect games they constantly pester you about DLC you haven't downloaded. It reminded me too much of that stupid butler in Fable III. And I like John Cleese.

I don't mind. They're just trying to advertise their product.

This. Also, a lot of games feature some kind of kinect support. You just have to learn to tune it out.
