Put your hands up for the beta testers who are actually bug

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 10:46 pm

Didn't you have to buy another game to get the Halo 3 beta? Bethesda is picking certain people who will actually test the bugs. Which is what the beta is for. Reporting bugs and seeking them out wherever they may hide.

No, not Halo 3. You had to buy Halo: ODST to get in on the Halo: Reach Open BETA. If you bought ODST, you got a code for the BETA invite for Reach. Halo 3 had it's own BETA by invite IIRC... it's been a while since that BETA for me. lol

I will definitely check for bugs and test the balancing for weapons, armor, enemies, etc like i've done in previous beta's on xbox and PC
You have done previous Beta testing on Xbox?

Oh, that's right... I hated Crackdown. Loved Halo 3, hated Crackdown. I can't believe that they chose a P.o.S. like that to help pimp out Halo 3...

True that.

I've always been a big Halo fan, so I love(d) 3. :D

I dont want to get to off topic so this will be my last post. Halo was amazing. I even got it on release day. Halo 2 is still one of the best multiplayer I have ever played. Halo 3 I cried it was so bad and changed.

I know. I quite liked how Battlefield does it's betas. People who bought previous games get to play it and it means people are more loyal. Wouldn't work with the ES as the games take so long to come out. But yeah I hope the Beta is worth doing and things actually get fixed.
I actually hope so considering this game is so massive it has enough problems out of bugs as is and it still needs to be ironed out.

Sorry that I don't sit on this forum all day Werewolf. I'll try harder for you.
I don't think he really meant you, just all the laymen you see now that say joined yesterday at whatever time who blatantly made accounts just for a beta.

if im selected i will most certainly squash alot of bugs and conviniently forget about the amusing ones unless they happen to frequently. but i will also try out some of the new mechanics and give feedback on them and if need be suggest changes to the new mechanics.

I am sure that the free dlc is a draw, but the fact is it is only 20$. I think for most, especially anyone like me that simply loves vampires to death, the draw is the content. When I saw the trailer, it seems to be basically everything I could have hoped for from Bethesda. Therefore I think many would agree that the trailer has just gotten us all super psyched that soon is Xbox players are going to have some new content!

It's hardly a service, yes they are bug busting, but i guarantee you that 90% of those who apply just want to play the thing early.

That reminds me, early public betas of Sins of a Solar Empire (available for all who had pre-purchased, as is Stardock's way) had a disclaimer to effect of "this game is in early beta phase, it is not supposed to be fun yet" :hehe:
XD wow lol ya for some reason ppl think we WON'T want to test a game I would be honored and really getting the DLC free is last thing on my mind.

The fact that I have the pc version as well as the xbox version means that the free dlc doesn't truly help me that much. I much more perfer to play on the pc. I just signed up pretty much to test it and am going to end up buying the pc version anyway. I would like to have a good experience for my pc playthough.

honestly i think that if they wanted to really narrow it down to who would be doing bug testing they shouldnt have put out a notice on facebook. mabye twitter as its a smaller following and those tend to be the more hard core players anyhow.

If we are being honest I did originality join these forums to get the DLC early, but now I see how cool the community is here and fully intend on trying to do my best with reporting bugs and whatnot (if I get the beta). I will fully seek out bugs and report them (if I get it).
But thanks to the community here for being so cool. Elder Scrolls is one of those series like halo that has the one best fan bases out there. thanks guys!
But, I'll try to "squash" or "ind out" some of the inevitable bugs. Thanks again guys.
(AND I DID BETA TEST HALO REACH IF THAT GIVE ME ANY CREDIT)

Exactly. Everyone has been svcking up and has been saying how great they would be at testing. In reality it is obvious that all these laymen entered to try and get the dlc early. Why else would they do it? They don't really want to test the game.

Hey I had another account that may still be up but my email was hacked shortly after making it.. it was Ulqiorra so meh

Meh, they are probably hoping to get a variety of play styles, having those people go through the DLC, if nothing major screws up,
It's all good lol XD

To be honest though, if people signed up for this simply to get it early, if they run across any bugs that render the DLC unplayable, then they will ask the internet what to do and it will eventually be noticed on here. I've created an account on here to post the feedback though previous Bethesda DLC has been absolutely fine for me.

My reason was because I had only just realized my email was hacked... Honestly Ive been peeping on the Forums without even logging on. Today when I attempted to join Beta I realized I forgot my password. So I go to my Yahoo before I attemp to recover and I find it has been erased. It wasnt just for the Beta that i come here. I come here every patch and everytime I get a bug...I just dont log on and I dont care for posting but I am liking it as of now because there are so many views people have that its funj to debate
