I've updated my list of items up for trade quite a bit, so I'm just going to put it in a new post.

I've got an extra Wrangler, and will trade you for the Widowmaker.

I sold my crate for 3 keys, a craft hat and 1 ref about a month ago. If your game, a s. gunslinger goes for more than the crate if your lucky. I saw one go for 6 keys ;(

I've tried it with every resolution setting, it still doesn't change anything.

Have you tried setting the resolution via "Set Launch Options?
Go to Steam>Libraries>(right click TF2)>Properties>General Tab>Set Launch options.

Add this to that, replacing the 1920 & 1080 as you see fit:

-width 1920 -height 1080

Just about everything in that crate goes for more than the crate. You should've opened it.

The two crap stranges (Ullapool and the Holy Mackerel) inside don't. Those go for about 5-6 refined. It all depends on whether or not you want to risk the key.

I'm actually going to wait to see if Valve hands out free keys for Christmas again. I'll open it if they do and if they don't, I'll just sell the crate.

The crate sells for less than 5-6 refined, and keys are only 2.33 refined. No matter what you open in that chest, you're making a profit.

Looks like I'll be missing out on all of the festivities this year - I've been too busy playing Skyrim this past week and this upcoming week I'll be visiting my folks. Hopefully by the time I get back there will be unique recipes for the new weapons.

Today was a pretty good day. I finally unboxed that s30 crate and ended up with a Strange Machina which I sold for 16 refined. I then crafted some of that into the Halloween helm and got the Spine-Twisting skull, which looks the best out of all the Halloween 2011 helms IMO. I also bought 2 naughty keys with a bit more and ended up with 2 normal festives, which is pretty meh since they go for a third of what I spent on the keys, but they'll probably go up in value after the Christmas event so I'm not too worried. I'll probably spend the rest on a couple more hats for myself at some point.

Has anyone else had any trouble playing? The last few weeks have been pretty rough, my PC keeps locking up as maps load and usually requires me to power my PC off to get out. It is almost always when there is a video that starts right as the map finishes loading, which means I can't play many of my favorite servers. The game also seems to take longer to start than it used to.

Anyone else have this problem, or have any idea how to fix it?

Jumped back in today and had a lot of fun, although I see why the phlogistinator and spy-cicle are so unpopular. I was routinely on teams with way too many pyros, I was frequently the only one not using the phlog, and yet I was usually the highest scoring pyro. I must say the medics loved me though, I was the only one who could airblast them when the opposing hoard of phlogs attacked.

I mostly played Foundry and despite usually disliking five point CP I really enjoyed it.

I've never had an issue with anbody using a phlogistinator or spy-cicle. Why are they unpopular? Well, aside from the fact that most people using them don't seem to be very good.

That is the reason.

99% of all who uses either of those weapons seems to svck.

The Phlogistinator is basically Backburner all over again.

..At least it doesn't give +50 HP?

My main annoyance was how many people were using them. A few people and I wouldn't have cared, but the sheer numbers were tiresome.

I didn't have any problems with the spy-cicle balance-wise. However everyone with it also had the enforcer - hopefully those beta tweaks will get approved.

The phlog did feel unbalanced. I think the mmph taunt needs its damage resistance removed, or maybe if the stock's +10% damage is approved the phlog won't receive it. Removing airblasts is a poor disadvantage in my opinion, as it tends to hurt the team more than the player. I've yet to see someone using the manmelter, despite there being several phlog pyros on both sides most matches I played.

The Phlog is really easy to counter by most classes. It's really effective against inexperienced players though.

The Pomson 6000 on the other hand is really overpowered. I hate that thing so much.

The spy-cicle isn't really that Op. Just gotta use your shotgun against them. Then when they are using there dead ringer burn them up. Simple. The phlog isn't very good because the airblast is one of the pyro's biggest strong point, removing that makes him to vulnerable and can't really help his team if an uber comes in.

That's hardly any fault of the weapons themselves, now is it?

And even when I used the backburner all of the time I would still ariblast people.

It isn't the weapons fault, but most people judge people by their loadout after seeing too many using it wrongly.
I do it sometimes myself, and I'm sure you've at least thought it once.
Also, I was talking about the Backburner before it had airblast.

It wouldn't be OP if it couldn't pierce through multiple targets. Try pushing into the final area of a payload map with an engineer constantly spamming that unstoppable, almost invisible laser beam.
