Return of the Enclave

If we are talking about dust bowl in historical context but now radioactive, that would cover Oklahoma as well as Texas. I have some photos of a huge dust strom caused by the "dust bowl" taken in Texas.

I just dont know if we would see a future game taking place in an area already covered. I hear Texas was covered in Tactics I think it was and would like to see Texas in this new age first person style game over the previous but I dunno.

It was in PoS, but PoS isn't canon, and quite frankly Texas deserves better.

It's not about whether I like them or not (And I really liked them back in FO2. They were the first "grey" faction I've seen in a game.) But using the same faction over and over and over (notice three overs) again would feel so... forced. How about a new antagonist? Let's get some creativity in here. Or we can tie up the loose ends with other factions. Brotherhood is at war with NCR as far as we know (for all you tech-lovers out there). Caesar's Legion is still large towards east (come along my good Romans!). NCR has great potential for plot twists (Nation-wide rebellion anyone?).

It doesn't have to be a whole faction either. House was a brilliant addition to the game and he caused more than enough problems for NCR. Adding even a single character can cover the bad-guy need (Not necessarily bad though, in House's case. You happy Colonel? ).

Now you're probably gonna say "Hey you're using the same factions over and over again too!". Well we didn't nuke any of them twice did we?

well since you don't want factions used over and over that should apply to the ncr and ceasers legion, those factions were a joke so i agree lets not have the same factions every game, i don't ever want to see the ceasers legion or ncr again.

Hence that last paragraph... Does anyone ever read these days?
Oh and factions being a joke is subjective.

Why the hell not? Unlike some other people I'm not going to screech at the top of my lungs that they're being misandrist for getting rid of the BoS and Enclave aka "the main factor of the Fallout series"(according to some). :shifty:

Plenty of opportunity for new factions and stories!

Well if I want the Enclave back I want the situation reversed, where they're not the antagonists and you can even use there race in a future game. But we all know it will probably never happen, but theres no harm in keeping optimism.

The NCR only appears twice and was mentioned once. The Legion only appears once. Neither one of them were canonically destroyed by the player. What is your argument?

I would like to see a return of the enclave in one of the dlc's something that at the very least will put them on the same lvl as the brotherhood for the given area they occupy now that doesnt mean i want their technological strength to be the same. it just means i want them to have at least the same amopunt of space and for whatever reason hold to it like the brootherhood does in fallout NV. I want this mostly becuase i want some better looking and bettter performing armor and weapons. both being new toys basically. also it adds another faction for me to play with and barter with. besides though this sounds horrid i would have dumped that canister in the purifier had i had it my way.

obsidian took out the enclave and they won't be in any dlc's mostly likely, and yeah its true, not many factions are well armed or have good armor, ceasers legion and ncr sure aren't high tech and neither of them have too much good equipment unless you like macheties, spears and service rifles.

westoftherockies, but near the end of the game the NCR does start to equip their troops their heavy troops atleast with outdated power armor. But I still prefer the higher tech BoS or Enclave armor to what NCR has.

Weapons wise, I find myself using weapons like the .357 magnum revolver (the unique one) and the "this machine" rifle. I dont use energy weapons in New Vegas like I did in FO3

I think it would be ok if the returned as a minor faction and had a bunker somewhere.I would just like some enclave place to go and stay at like a house or safehouse thats all.

I wouldn't want a DLC focused on the Enclave at all. The Remnant quest in the game already was enough, it was kind of touching and really wrapped things up for the dying faction.

It would be like if they made Fallout 3 DLC focused on Harold and Oasis.

Just let the Enclave Remnant fade out nobily.

Not some cheap rehash of some of their grand kids trying to get the band back together. The Enclave deserve better than that...

The only way they could return in a none hostile faction would be as a pussified version not wanting genocide, I'd sooner they die off than live as [censored]es personally.

Agreed, let them die as they lived; total badasses.
They fought the good fight and got smacked down hard. Their tech should stay in the game, but they shouldn't appear again as an organized faction at least for a while.

I don't understand certain people's love for the Enclave. I mean, outside of their tech, they were xenophobic racist extremists with piss-poor values that just caused a bunch of problems for the Wastelanders.

Agreed. The Remnants were badass, but I don't want a revival of a faction that has been blown up thrice.

And what is the facination with the BoS, they are just like the Enclave with their quest of keeping advanced technology out of the hands of average people. Not to mention they are just like the Enclave in the sense that they typically dont allow outsiders to join their ranks.

The Enclave dont give a [censored] about people cause they see the tainted people as beneath them. The BoS dont give a [censored] about people cause they think their too barbaric to have advanced technology and they see them as beneath them as well.

In the end the BoS and the Enclave are alike but only changed by their radical views both of which is negative towards the average person in the waste land.

Personally I think the facination with the Enclave is because they are the last remenants of the U.S. Government and once they are gone thats it. Given they are not the government but a small shadow government within the government they still are the last of their breed.

No. Theyve all but dissapeared in the west, theyve taken hard blows in the east, so no.

I would love to play as an Enclave soldier in a sim, that'd be pretty sweet and would give some great insight into the inner workings of the Enclave; only problem is, who would they fight?

I dont see why not.....New Vegas is on the eastern border of the NCR......considering the enclave can still travel across the US to make bases in the east, they could easily have well hidden powerfully built bases anywhere in the country.

They might not have a leader though, and contact between groups seems to be cut (the eyebot still being sent even though Navarro has been taken). I dont see why we shouldnt have an enclave group bunked down somewhere like the brotherhood of steel is.

Cheesy idea, but what about a DLC based on the missions the Remnants took over time? Seeing Cannibal and Moreno fight over philosophy's, fighting for the bad guys, escaping Navarro, etc. Would be really interesting, although alot more FPS then RPG, sadly.

I would like to see the Remnants absorb the Great Khans. After getting the Khans to break the alliance with Ceaser there should be a way to get them and the Remnants together and rebuild the Enclave and wipeout the NCR and BoS. They could even come up with a new name, The Khanclave....... Come on think about it...
