Return of the Enclave

Texas isn't really that fly-over. Plenty of oil-refineries and cities such as Dallas, Houston, and Austin. D/FW itself is pretty packed.

But those would be useless, as resources were drying up by the time of the Great War.

Still, there's other things that Texas has. Agriculture, arms manufacturing, Texas Instruments probably would be cooking up robots before the war. As for crude oil, that could be the center of conflict, like in Mad Max 2.

Oil was gone everywhere but Alaska. Texas does have alot of other things like you mention which would make it a great target. I remember it was described as a place with mile wide radioactive tornados for most of the year. I think it was Tycho that said that.

I remember the radioactive dust bowl, but not the mile wide tornado. The dust bowl would be more in Oklahoma than Texas anyways.

Personally, I'd rather they came up with something new. It's not even a lore issue to me, it just gets so boring recycling the same enemies over and over. Let's move on to something more creative; the Enclave has been done to death.

well they can replace em but they need to be replaced with an equivelant type of faction, the enclave were ominous, menacing and would show up almost anywhere, they put up a decent fight, had some firepower, they had a lot of high tech, used vertibirds, and new vegas doesn't have any faction near as good as the enclave, no factions really have any high tech, somehow the fiends have all the energy weapons, ceasers legion is the worst faction is the history of fallout, mainly using macheties and they live in tents? oy vey, and ncr is pretty bad also, its ok to take the enclave out if you actually replace them with a cool faction, but to replace em with ceasers legion and ncr, that turned out to be a dud i think.

Return of the Enclave as a force, I dont personally see that happening. Now having remants like in new vegas sure. The only thing I want at the very least is weapons and the power armor of the BoS and the Enclave to be in games, especially if it has DT that makes it worth wild.

I just dont see them making a stand as a force anymore. especially since they were hunted down by the BoS and the New California Republic. I also dont expect the BoS to be around much longer either since the NCR is hunting them down as well.

Thats just like Texas was in a fallout game already, but I would still love to see Texas in a new Fallout that isnt a "tactical" like game moving across a top down view map.

But I dont know if we will get what we want if there was a game covering a said area already. Doesnt hurt to wish though.

Maybe they have change their personal point of view about the "survivors" of the wasteland. And there is a "division" between "democratics" and "republicans"

I dont think that kind of ideology would present itself to them. The Enclave was basically a shadow government from within the US government that their sole plan was to continue to wage war even if the mainland was hit. They want to take the main land back and they see the "mutated" humans as not being equals because they grew up in radiation and isnt "pure"

So while we might see some that change their minds I dont see the Enclave as a whole changing their ideology and turning a new leaf over and be like the BoS but sharing tech with the masses. Not unless they did that as a front to secretly do what they always wanted.

But no! I wanted to, meant a schism! Among those who still follow the ideals of the Enclave, and those who reject them and want to use the technology for the good of humanity

Have you seen the Enclave extermination camps in the wasteland? Autumn certainly didn't care about those did he, or about the women he shot to make an example; there isn't an extremist Enclave and one which just wants to go around holding hands and giving out tech.

Even the largest factions have often deserters. The enclave after his "defeat", you had to fight hard not against the survivors, but against the deserters. Then there were furious infighting, which led to the complete division of the Enclave.

The enclaves story in fallout does not need to be over. Even if they lost their main base and got crushed in FO3. For all we know, the broken steel dlc in FO3 some enclaves might have escaped with a vertibird or two without us players knowing it. And the survivors from their main base in fallout 3 may have fallen back and regrouping.
Encalve could regroup and gather their forces and recruiting people who has the same idials as them. Started a new base, training soldiers and having some of the older enclaves teaching the younger ones their idials and tactics and so on. Enclaves are high-tec soldiers with special tactics and supreme weapons. The possibilities are many but i would say that it wont come more enclaves to fallout for a long time. After their main bases got destroyed and their plan in FO3 got busted, and their f*** airport got crushed. I would say the evidence is pretty strong they wont return for a while. They also got hunted down by BoS and NCR in the new vegas chapter of fallout.

( this does not mean that i do not want more high-tec enemies with high-tec armor and weapons :) )

So those that survived the destruction of Navarro traveled east, regrouped, established a base and so on and so forth...
Then those that survive the destruction of Raven Rock and Adams Air Force Base travelled somewhere else and...

You seein' a pattern here? It would be the same thing over and over again. I don't like presenting such arguments but seriously guys, if you liked Enclave that much you should go back to playing FO2/FO3.

Yep but the Devs of FO3 atleast gave us how they came to be. If you question the president in FO3, you learn that he recalled all survivors back to the east coast to regroup. That is where their numbers in FO3 came from. Because of this I feel this second destruction should make them a non player from here on out. Small groups roaming around, or remnants sure. But nothing like the force they were in FO3.

Part of me knows their no longer going to be a player, but I dont want them to disappear fully because I fear we would lose some of the advanced Enclave tech which I have to say I am liking alot in New Vegas.

I dont want to see them as a main player or a major enemy. I dont mind seeing them in small forces so we can atleast get power armor training and have the ability to find Enclave weapons and power armor. even if the Enclave dont exsist anymore if their tech still did I would be very happy over it. But I didnt play the 1st and 2nd FO only FO3 and New Vegas, and I have to say I dont care to see the Enclave as a major enemy in the future.

I agree with you about not wanting to see them like they were in FO3. I don't want to see them as they were in FO2. As a large powerful faction. In the West Remnants in their 80s in the East Remnants of Remnants as in the ones in the east are the children of the western ones. Ones in Chicago I picture them as Remnants from the West that were left behind to man the Chicago outpost, established as a relay as they were moving to DC.

The Devs gave us a reason but not a every good reason and they did not tell us how they had such a population boom. Navarro did not have that many people and yet in 40 or so years they had thousands.

I would be inclined to saythat could be explained in future games that the Enclave started using Androids for their general foot soldier. I know it would be a bad explination but atleast its better than wondering how the hell did their numbers grow.

I also agree that the Chicago branch is probably a result of their travels east and that the Eyebot we can partner up with was sent from the east coast to the west coast before that incident wiped them out on the east coast.

Personally I thought it could have been done better in FO3 where after you won and wiped out the enclave that as you killed enclave out in the wastes they wouldnt respawn at their outposts but they still did. I do have to say I like FO NV for the fact that you have armor stronger than your most common enemy if you take the power armor route. But it doesnt do a thing protecting against death claws.

I say small cameos would be great, maybe find an old abandoned Enclave bunker like the BoS bunker, and you can loot weapons and armor from there or make it your own place. From there maybe you come across a old Enclave soldier or the offspring of one that you can be taught to wear it or even an enclave simulator that will do the same thing like in Operation Anchorage. There are ways to eliminate the Enclave as a major player but still keep the tech around and some survivors around for fun.

Thanks thats what I was trying to remember "radiactive dust bowl." I don't know where I got mile wide tornados, I guess over the years I let my imagination build on the idea of radioactive dust bowl. Still to me it sounds awesome.
