Return of the Enclave

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:43 am

I would like to see a return of the enclave in one of the dlc's something that at the very least will put them on the same lvl as the brotherhood for the given area they occupy now that doesnt mean i want their technological strength to be the same. it just means i want them to have at least the same amopunt of space and for whatever reason hold to it like the brootherhood does in fallout NV. I want this mostly becuase i want some better looking and bettter performing armor and weapons. both being new toys basically. also it adds another faction for me to play with and barter with. besides though this sounds horrid i would have dumped that canister in the purifier had i had it my way.

Doesn't fit in with the lore as far as I know.
Oil Rig went kaboom.
And Navarro was overrun by NCR.
The remaining Enclave were hunted by both NCR and BOS.
Only remaining members are the ones we see in a certain companion quest.

You mean the Enclave referred to in New Vegas as the Remnant? The bunch that has thrown in the towel, knowing they're defeated, and given it up?

Yeah, I think they're already on the level they chose for themselves as shown in the For Auld Lang Syne quest, thank you very much.

Why? The Enclave isn't supposed to be huge with fully staffed and trained bases everywhere. The Enclave is all but dead as an organisation, aside from finding out about there history I personally don't want to see them for a long time.

There is an outpost in Chicago and probably a hundred remnants or so in or around Capital Wasteland but that's about it.

My guess is that there are a few Isolated pockets of Enclave left somewhere and they (along with any survivors from the East Coast) are probably going to hunker down for a long time ( I mean a looong time). In any case they shoudn't be featured as a major faction anymore and only as a minor faction if they are shown as more than just "bad guys to kill".

This. if there is an Enclave base close to New Veges, it will mess with lore even more.

Well more than likely they will just die out, doubt there is enough to continue our civilisation.

There could be enough. Provided enough women and children survived the east coast fiasco. If they do survive though it will be by a thread. They're on the brink at this point. As long as one bunker remains with the ability to provide food/shelter for a few years then they stand a good chance of surviving.

As much as I would like to see The Enclave in game (as long as they aren't trying to kill me), I have to agree with the rest of the people here, It just wouldn't make sense to see them in game any more than they already are; a beaten faction who's been defeated at just about every turn. I think they have outlived their usefulness.

The only way they could return in a none hostile faction would be as a pussified version not wanting genocide, I'd sooner they die off than live as [censored]es personally.

If a whole squad of former Enclave troops could survive in the Mojave Wasteland, I'm sure there are other Enclave Remnants around. There even could be an isolated town of former Enclave soldiers with advanced technology and such. It could make for a cool DLC having to deal with or help more Enclave Remnants.

Remnants I am ok with. Old timers that now make a living as prospecters, farmers, tech repair people, doctors, weapons dealers or former mercs. Old people telling stories of their glory days and how it all came to an end when the Rig went Boom.

A few remnants is different from at the same level as the Brotherhood.

Aside from all the remnants and such saying that the Enclave's leadership collapsed in 2242, so aside from their silly appearance in Fallout 3 and a referenced outpost in Chicago, there surely cannot be another huge presence because IT WOULDN'T MAKE SENSE.

The lore says the Enclave is almost extinguished, and that was after they were brought back for no reason in Fallout 3. They're done as a major faction, and if gamesas has any sense they won't bring them back while they are even organized enough to be a faction for a long time.
