Size/Class and why! All in one.

I think heavy operatives will be excellent defenders. Since they have more abilities and HP it should be an excellent addition. Putting up firewalls and keeping enemy operatives from sneaking in. An operative with a GL amuses me. Operatives are best suited to fight each other in game. Reminds me of the good ole Spy vs. Spy.

I completely agree, a heavy Op. could defend well with his ability to see through disguises and what-not

i still remain the only heavy operative in this thread. i think the extra health will give you that much more time to hack something after you have been discovered

Its the KillerCross.

I will be a Medium Operative to start off to get my bearings with movement then go for light for even more manueverability.

I'll definitely be silently taking you kids with my dark ops class and weapon loadout.

combining stealth with BRINK's movement will make me a demon.

look me up when BRINK is released.

you wont stand a chance.

I picked heavy engineer, because i'll be on the front line taking a lot of bulltes and setting up turrets to help defend my teamates. If i could of had a second option, i would be a medium solidier, that would give access to good weapons and alos be able to access some vantage points.

Ugh, i cant beleive there are that many light operatives, if your gonna be light, you could at least have varied classes. Im hating the day when i join a match that has 7 light operatives on my team and we lose big time <_<

I feel lights are gonna be cannon fodder, if they come up against a heavy face to face, then i will kick them so hard that they will find the mainland that they wanted to go to in the first place.

Only natural that the Operative class is quite popular. Maybe SD should release more info on other classes! *cough* j/k

Would need to see all the available abilities and weapons to make a decision imo. But for now its Heavy Medic.

I think a majority of the Light players won't utilize their "pro's" enough (speed/mobility) and just try to play like a character from a typical shooter, and wind up getting there asses eaten on the battlefield. It's those players who understand how to play them that will be assets to the team.

Agreed, Lights will be useful and can be crucial for flanking etc., but how many of those players who picked light op on the poll above know that they might be at a disadvantage in health, and also believe that they are ninjas with guns and that they are invincible.

Hey, don't forget all of those aren't Resistance. There's going to be plenty of security operatives too. (I shall enjoy my job of placing a turrent in a pathway that only lights think they can move through)

You think they would realize it with the number of times that it gets mentioned on this forum it should be sticked.

Warning to all light operatives and lights in general. Yes you are very fast and look down on the heavier people, good for you. You also have the lowest HP, weapon choice, and pips. So when you charge into a hail of machine gun fire and die it is your fault. You are NOT a ninja, a assassin, or especially a NINJA ASSASSIN OMG :ninja:

So operatives remember you are still a member of a team. You are a Scout, a Spy, and a Saboteur. Lastly if you run off and get killed your friendly neighborhood medic is not likely to go deep into enemy territory to revive you.

I picked light engineer because setting a turret up in the very beginning could be vital for your team to win.

One, I like the operative
two, the light body type doesn't look very good so I've rather be medium.

Medium Medic, I need to be fast enough to get there before they die, but strong enough to not die right on top of them when I do get there :P

I feel ashamed for going with Light Operative and Anger due to all the wannabe ninja assassins.

Hopefully I can play the class right.

My backup class (for when I don't feel like being an operative) would be a Medium/Light engineer.

I personally think the light opeartive is a good class, and cna be effective. Allowing them to move quickly behind enemy lines, and (this is where the skill comes in) ispatch an enemy without being noticed and interrogate helping you and your comrades. If you have common sense and a deep voice, your gonna be good :goodjob:

In my opinion, heavy operative is probably going to be less for hacking and more for disguise spotting, smoke grenades, and interrogations. Wounded enemies to interrogate will be easy to come by if you're in the thick of battle, and smoke grenades (I think the operative gets these) help conceal the most teammates there, too. Hacking enemy turrets and using disguises are sneaky jobs for which a light operative is likely better suited due to his increased mobility.

edit: Of course, there will probably be main hacking objectives that will be heavily defended and easy to get to, so in some cases, yes, heavy operative will be more suited to them.

My impression of the differences between body types is that heavy characters are supposed to follow the main paths and focus on the main objectives, where there will be the most fighting, medium characters are able to do that but flexible enough to do a little bit of flanking and maneuvering, and light characters are meant to stay away from the big firefights, flank the enemy, and perform side objectives that the enemy team isn't defending well.

I chose Medium Medic probably because I always play as a medic whenever I can and need some mobility to reach the wounded. However I also like to get stuck in to the combat and so medium fits me better than light.
Because of all the light operatives I really worry that Brink will be like Team Fortress 2 in that there's going to be tons of people sneaking around and stabbing me in the back, but that's my only concern.

Very well said sir. You class decides what objectives you can do and your body type decides how best you can accomplish them.

I don't think that's something you have to worry about too much. I'm sure the majority of people who voted in this poll already knew all the strengths and weakness of their respective size and class, thus far. All people who voted for the lightweight should already know that flanking and ambushing is their best choice for kills(maybe even their only) and being a lightweight shouldn't be about getting kills in the first place. I could be wrong though, and it would be hilarious to see a light think he can easily dodge a heavy with a Gatling gun by skipping about on the buildings xD;

The way I see it, the reason so many people flock to the light operative is because the lightweights will be using stealth the most to kill enemies and carry out their objectives, since they have such low health and a weak, limited weapon choice, So if their going to be stealthily the majority of the time, might as well pick the class that suits stealth gameplay the most out of the four.

I personally chose light operative because I want to take full advantage of the SMART system(to be a great support to my team with huge speed and parkour efficiency), always preferred the use of stealth in online shooters to kill enemies and carry out objectives, and the operative's recon abilities suit my stealthily play style the best.

ha! reptars not the only heavy op. im doing light whatever the [censored] i want. leaning towards light op or light soilider i like op cause it goes weell with the light class and soldier because there awsome at EXPLOSIONS! there also good at defending small corridors. like on MW2 on terminal where the plane connects to the building i nub tube down that isle, go back to my spot , maybe throw a grenade. and then my favorite. throwing down a smoke running into it, going prone and using my thermal to own the guys standing back there.

really i dont care as long as im light. not cause im wanna be the ZOMG 1337 NINJA ASSASIN AWSOME GUY. Im light in real life, like 105 pounds and 5' 6".
