Skyrim Is Boring...

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 10:49 am

No I don't agree.

I play the game slowly, stay in character and don't use the most common setups of skills.

The quests, however, are really boring.

I agree with those that have assessed ES games are not for the OP. You need to move on to a genre you like. Skyrim is a good game and far from boring.

People with no sense of immersion and imagination will get bored quickly in open world games.

I know because I was like that.

Yes, its your playstyle, also that by the sounds of it you have been rushing the game.

Playing the generic Knight in armor isn't very creative, switch it up a bit
Maybe become a Battlemage, sword and magic?

If you find it boring you probably have no sense of imagination and you should stick to FPS games.

What a nice comment, you should probably get off fantasy island and grow some balls.

Maybe Fantasy games are not for people without fantasy ?

Maybe you should go outside and play a little roleplaying. grow up and then comment again.

It has nothing to do with fantasy. everybody has imagination...

I think you may need to mix up your playstyle a bit...

My Nord is part archer, part two hander(for dragons mostly) and my primary fighting style is one handing with shield.

I usually set poison on my bow and take a couple shots on my target and then pull out my melee weapons once they charge me.

Mix in some shouts and it's a party.

Just experiment more...If I was going straight two handed, I would be bored too.

TES games are never boring. Up until TESIV all I ever played was shooters and RTS games. TESIV totally opened me up to freedom to do what you want in an open world. TES games are what you make of them.
This was the same for me until TES III Morrowind came out and was like what the h**l is an open world RPG, I gotta see this and bought it. I fell in love with the series since. I was used to playing mainly FPS games, Quake, DooM, HeXeN, etc.

I notice most of the people that say Skyrim is boring start out by saying "I've played it nonstop."

Very interesting if you ask me. Though if it's like the only game you have I can see how you play the game "a lot" or "nonstop" since it's the only thing to do. I saved my money up and got other good games as well so I don't over do one game to were stuff can be repetitive or boring. Also being creative helps a whole lot when playing TES games.

Also go do some things irl to take you away from gaming too much, or something it's what I do.

Also I for some reason am having difficulties completing the main quest I keep dieing :/.

Stealth character, light armor makes the game interesting for me, most of the time I can take enemies out easily with stealth, but when detected it gets more interesting as now I've only got light armor, do I run or fight, a couple of times I've made the mistake of fighting and what appeared to be a simple enemy turned out to be carrying something like a fireball staff.

If you get your smithing up high, you can get that light armor pretty bad ass. I have a stealth/light armor character two but if cornered can stand and fight. I like the build.

while I agree that the game does require a certain mindset you are obviously butthurt and trying to be rude. "You probably have no sense of manners and you should stick to locking yourself in your room."

I bought skyrim friday, and been playing it alot the last few days, though i think it gets borring fast? its mostly just travel around and hear what people has to say. dragons arent really fun killing, sure the first 3 was but, now they just, well dragons. easy lame dragons.

Im using 2handed weapons, and heavy armor, maybe its my playstyle that makes the game boring?

what do you think? what class is fun?

also one thing that dissapoints me alot is, it is say'd that you can kill anybody in this game, which not true at all...

You cant kill kids, and you cant kill important people??

Why would you want to kill children? That's sick.

And no, I don't find the game boring.

Nope, still enjoying it.

I have to agree with some of the comments about quest lines being too short and repetitive though. But I've been taking it slowly and picking up quests here n there to break it up a bit.
