Skyrim Is Boring...

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 10:13 am

I bought skyrim friday, and been playing it alot the last few days, though i think it gets borring fast? its mostly just travel around and hear what people has to say. dragons arent really fun killing, sure the first 3 was but, now they just, well dragons. easy lame dragons.

Im using 2handed weapons, and heavy armor, maybe its my playstyle that makes the game boring?

what do you think? what class is fun?

also one thing that dissapoints me alot is, it is say'd that you can kill anybody in this game, which not true at all...

You cant kill kids, and you cant kill important people??

Edit:

All of you f'cking douches asking, "why put this on skyrim forum" you guys must be [censored].. where else should i post it. this is probably the best place to post a thing like this, since everybody here most likely has the game...

Also im not saying the game is bad or anything.

But it just feels like, fetch me this, fetch me that, go here go there, kill that, kill this.

The quests are just really repetitive. Dragons, svck bigtime if u ask me, some bears are even stronger than dragons, i mean?? wtf...

Fallout 3 is one of the best games ive played so far, and skyrim is made the same way as fallout 3. So i kinda knew how this game would be, i just didnt know it would get boring so fast.

Edit, Again:

I typed with spaces so it would be easy'r and not look like alot to read. If you got a problem with that, u must have a really tight as,shole and a black [censored] up your as,s.
Also to the ppl telling me to kill myself, and saying troll and such, lol. Take the skyrim box out your as,s and go outside and play on the highway.

I took a break from the game and switched to a mixed class, it helped a bit, but still thinks this game couldve been alot better. but so could all games, its good but not the best ive played.

No I don't agree.

I play the game slowly, stay in character and don't use the most common setups of skills.

The quests, however, are really boring.

If you don't like traveling around and talking to people, then Elder Scrolls games obviously aren't for you.

I'm not as gripped to it as I was with previous TES games, but it's far from boring. I still anticipate getting 600+ hours out of it once some good mods come out.

Yeah I'd agree with this.

It does get old very quickly and the main quest is very short with a terrible ending.

I've not played it since early last week. I'll wait and see what the modders can do, and then give it another go.

Slow down a bit and up the difficulty to master. As Paarthunax would say, "patience. there are formalities to follow, Dovah."

TES games are never boring. Up until TESIV all I ever played was shooters and RTS games. TESIV totally opened me up to freedom to do what you want in an open world. TES games are what you make of them.

Loving the game. For the first time in forever I actually have my wife interested as well. When a dragon swooped down and fire breathed me while fighting 3 bandits and I died, she actually let out a scream and an "OMG that was awesome"...rather not have her say that after I die, but, knowing my wife, seeing her get excited about that made me realize, hey, I'm not the only one who thinks this game is aweosme :)

If you find it boring you probably have no sense of imagination and you should stick to FPS games.

I agree, Skyrim is kinda boring. For the first few days I played non stop and was just certain this is the game of the fricken decades. The world just swallowed me. It was awesome, but only for a while. After that while, things get very foreseeable. The quests are absolutely horrible. They lack all creativity. Go fetch this, from this cave! Bah, I say.

The greatest enjoyment I get from Skyrim is just wandering around the wilderness. Unfortunately, this is the only place where random things truly happen, and you don't feel like you've done this a million times before. So I'll give Skyrim that.

Actually I'm having a hard time NOT playing this game! But then again I play at least 2 other games pretty regularly. I've logged about 2.5 hours in this game. lol Barely a scratch. This weekend I'll do another 1.5 hours. Man it's going to take me FOREVER to finish this! After playing MMOs almost exclusively for years it's nice to get back to the detail of a single player game.

Agreed OP, game is very repetitive, with many poorly written/boring quests and disappointing guild quest-lines to say the least. The large majority of quests just boil down to "clear out this cave/ruins/mine and collect x item at the end", thank god there is usually something to learn about said cave/mine/ruin when you traverse it, keeps it slightly interesting at least. With that said I still got many many hours out of Skyrim before starting to feel that way, definitely my monies worth and then some.

You really need to be into Role playing I think to fully appreciate what the game has to offer though. Unfortunately I've never been able to get into Role-playing, it just doesn't seem fun to me, probably why the game is getting stale after 150 or so hours of play.

How can the Elder Scrolls series be boring?

You scum! -> you could try Oblivion again, make sure you have it run on a decent computer to enjoy.

I mean you have too much to do there I don't understand the likes of you!(the stupid people who are afraid of a vampire)

It can't be possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kids are always off limits and absolutely should be.

But no I don't find it boring. I'm playing a female Nord (level 33), light armor, high sneak, high archery, high one handed weapons (dual sword), and 100 smithing. I can't lie, I'm having an absolute blast.

One tip that might make the game more fun for you is don't fastravel anywhere. You encounter a ton of random stuff (and pick up missions where you'd never expect) if you walk everywhere. I won't even ride a flippin horse. :)

On the contrary, this is the first Bethesda game since Morrowind that I haven't been able to put down since it came out.

Easily one of the most immersive and fun games I've played in a while. Certainly helps that all my complaints with it are minor and can be counted on my fingertips.

Everyone is different, come on that thread should have been as such:

Poll it..........

Do you find Skyrim boring?
1. Yes
2. No
3. What the hell?! -- I would choose
4. What's Skyrim?

Stealth character, light armor makes the game interesting for me, most of the time I can take enemies out easily with stealth, but when detected it gets more interesting as now I've only got light armor, do I run or fight, a couple of times I've made the mistake of fighting and what appeared to be a simple enemy turned out to be carrying something like a fireball staff.
