Since when is jumping height directly related to your combat efficiency?

I personally agree with the current jump height. It seems real enough to me. I don't want jump height from past TES games for sure.. That crap is so unreal and annoying..

There are actually human can jump higher than what we see in Skyrim.

An archer will love higher jump to gain tactical advantages, but the acrobatic skill should limitation.

I think the maximum height should be about twice as high as current jump height with perks. A high acrobatic skill should have perk to minimize the fall damage rather than in heavy armor. Also there should be sprint jump, jump attack etc.

Lack of a running jump is just... it makes no logical sense.

I hope they bring back a skill for acrobatics, or athletics and acrobatics combined in one skill. Acrobatics was easily my favourite skill in TES.

Maybe they could make the jump height a little bigger, but not by much. I think it's fine the way it is though. Usually when I want or need to jump over a short wall or jump up on a platform then I'm able to do it with few problems, so I don't see what I'd gain by jumping higher other than giving myself an even greater advantage over the AI enemies.

No, Jumping Height should be like any other perk..........You choose how to mold your character. Nothing should be forced on anyone.

This.

The jumping seems realistic enough for me anyway. I don't want to be jumping over enemies or from the ground onto roofs like I'm stuck in an anime or something.

(and is it my imagination or do light armoured characters jump higher than heavy armoured characters? I'm sure my lastest woodelf is jumping much higher than my first Nord character was.)

I do want to jump over enemies, to get my clothes off and jump to reach a roof... if I am an acrobat the game should provide me the respective skills and perks...be whoever you want. There's nothing wrong as long as it's your choice to pick the perks or not. And about real life realism... give me a break, this is a world where there's fire and thunder coming out of your bare hands.

I get frustrated by our inability to climb up rocks that look sooo easily climbable. The fact that Skyrim is so rough and ragged only disappoints me more, because there's no better place in Tamriel to do your climbing and acrobatics. To me, the jump ability always represented more of a climb than an actual jump. The ability to get to difficult, high places should exist, though, one way or another.

Acrobatics is a real skill, so is climbing and so is jumping. I think Bethesda can do a much better job of modeling the agility and movement of the player characters. My impression is that they scaled everything back to "realistic" so that they could build an engine that works right. I get the feeling that they will build upon what they've done, and they are only temporarily scaling back.

I hope I'm right. I really would like to see more.

We have magic, Shouts, dragons, werewolves, and vampires in game, and people still want to complain that acrobatics in previous TES games was unrealistic? Get a grip already, There's nothing realistic about TES, that what we like about it.

Like all the things that can be trained and bettered, I hope Acrobatics will be given a chance to be a stand out talent again and make a glorious return in next games.
