Heads up:
AV may be http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1364221-relwip-automatic-variants/page__view__findpost__p__20591970.

Will probably do option #1.. which will make you have to reupload your packages.
Hate to do it, but it'll make things much more powerful down the road.

I'll let you know when the new structure becomes official/released.

Frost Giants are added to the game. Had to turn the CK inside out as leveled lists and creature setups are so different from Oblivion.... But now that I know how it's done it'll be easy enough in the future!

Will scout for some more locations to put the Frost Giants and make an AV package for them.

They look fantastic. Can you actually make those frost giants location-based using the current version of AV or do you have to use a separate .esp file?

Thanks. I give them their own camps in my esp and add a lonely wanderer here and there. They have their own leveled lists, so I do not have to worry about compatability issues too much.

Dragons? Haven't really looked at them yet, but it's certainly something I want to do in the future.

EDIT: Just to see how big Frostgiants are: http://i.imgur.com/FYCfV.jpg

Dragons are fine and dandy, however they'd most certainly conflict with Deadly Dragons mod or any mod that changes the Dragons since most of them use their own textures. Take Deadly Dragon for example. The author has added a couple more dragons to it with their respective textures.

Unfortunately vanilla dragons are a friggin' joke and need mods to tweak and buff them. They're supposed to be THE main attraction of Skyrim. Instead they're just weak, even on master difficulty :(.

Still, dragon textures sound awesome!

The only dragon mod I'm using is Dragon overhaul.

New package available! Female Draugr now have their own package. Get the package at the regular StarX AV Package Draugr download location, it's there as a seperate file. http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/1175-starx-av-package-draugr/

Alright, the Frost Giants now have a few camps and are using a massive axe instead of the regular giant club. Took me a bit of Nifskope work, but I think the axe looks awesome like that. Now to see if my variants show up! Fingers crossed!

Just right. They look like the huge, chilly timberman I was hoping to see.

I'm guessing the giant's fingers are still clenching the club? That's why it looks so odd.

The axe fits pretty perfect to be honest. I had to do some nifskoping to scale and position the axe to fit the frost giant. The frost giant is scaled as well, so he looks bulkier.

It shouldn't. Unless it places frost giant camps on the same locations.

@StarX. Because way live in the same timezone, even the same country I thought my changes for getting a rapid reply if I also sent you a copy of a msg a posted in the main AV thread. Hope you can help me out.

Original posting: "@Everyone. Currently in the process of testing all available AV packages to see if they all work. Some don't work 100%, as Bears like reported by Sounaipr. Its quite hard to distuingish all variants within an AV package let alone distuingish them from variants from other AV packages.

What I want to do is to brand them, eg putting a large X1,X2, I1, I2, P1, P2 (StarX, Insanity, Porscha) marking on them or if thats to time consuming just put a BIG red, blue, yellow etc marking on them. This way I can easily distuingish them.

I haven't done any modding before. Afaik the only thing I have to do is take an existing AV package, make a copy of it under another name and start editing the .dds files. Whats is the SIMPLEST way to accomplish that. I know I need a 'paint progam' which can handle .dds files, native of using a plugin. Can someone suggest a SIMPLE program which can handle this task. Later on I an always swith to Photoshop, Gimp etc"

I have no idea if paint.net is simple as I never used it, but besides that you can only use Photoshop or Gimp to work with .dds files. I think it's best to start reading some of the threads in the Graphic Artistry forum right here: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/forum/118-graphic-artistry/

@StarX. Bedankt/Thanks. Will have a look at it. Are you using photoshop or Gimp? Am I safe to assume that when you edit the files you edit a flattened version of the textures, as in one has to compensate for the shape of the model on which the texture will be put.

The texture is always flat.:P

The UV map determines how a texture is applied to the model.

Just a teaser for the upcoming Frost Giants:

I think release will follow in the second half of next week, as I'll be away for a few days at the beginning of the week and I don't want to dump a mod and dissapear all the sudden. :P Also gives me some time to possibly add a few more features.
