[RELzWIPz] StarX AV Packages - Creature Variants

Post » Sat May 26, 2012 12:53 pm

So impressive.

I haven't played Skyrim in a while due to no time, but when I do get the time to get a good set up this will be right at the top of the list.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks Onlyino!

OK, here we go. It has been a lot of work in which I combined my basic draugr textures to create some rich and highly detailed textures. I think the Gory Draugr look a lot scarier than vanilla.
So I made me a massive promo picture of all the Gory Draugr Variants. Please don't look if you have a weak stomach!!! But if you are up to it, than don't forget to zoom in!

Thanks Porscha!

Phew! All normalmaps have been created and the alphamaps add a disturbing moist look to exposed parts... Prepping for a release.

Don't forget! The Draugr package overrides the Overlord/Deathlord too and causes this: http://imgur.com/a/wlpiN This is the Draugr package from Insanity.

Looks like there's something wrong with the alpha channel in the diffuse map. Is that from Insanity's package?

Edit: Scratch that! You are right, will have to figure that out.....

EDIT 2: That's really strange. As the armor uses a seperate texture from the draugr, which I assume hasn't been touched by Insanity. You may want to ask this in the main AV thread.

Draugr Package has been released! Due to the filesize I have split the file in two parts, so make sure you download both files to get the complete package!

I've disabled AV for now, I forgot why. Maybe because I was getting crashes (not directing it towards AV!) and did some cleaning. I'll be sure to grab the Draugr's when I install AV again :D

Your latest releases are looking great! I'll be sure to try them out when I have the time to do a round of mod and tool updates thanks to the new patches. If you ever get bored of doing variants for the default creatures, you should consider contacting dogtown1 over at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9694. He's created some interesting additions that could use some variation!

I found a odd issue with the chickens of the game...

I'm running the latest version of Skyrim (updated yesterday) and AV mod and all packages.

Please let me know if you need any other information to figure this out.

Thanks! Seems like a lot of people are rebuilding their mod setup at the moment indeed. Skyrim Monster Mod looks like a great mod, with very interresting new creatures, so I'll keep that in mind. :goodjob:

That's a weird chicken indeed! Such issues are best reported on the main thread of AV: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1360923-relwip-automatic-variants-2/

Great! Hope you enjoy the nasty creeps!

Been busy with a few side projects, which will eventually get a variant package as well:

The Frost Giants will not replace the regular giants, but I will add them to the game in a seperate plugin!

I'm not sure Gory textures really fit the Draugr - They are for all intents and purposes heavily mummified/perserved corpses. I think the gore textures really undermines the effect they're supposed to have.
