Steam, etc Deals

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:40 pm

Where does it say that? I really hope so as I can't buy it right this second.

On the main page, it says "Save 75% when you buy Grand Theft Auto IV now! Offer ends 6pm PDT."

You should try and get it ASAP to be on the safe side. :P

Crap, now Grand Theft Auto Classics is on sale for $7.50, ending at 6 pm PDT like the GTA IV sale. I was about to buy GTA IV, but now I'm not sure...

Hmm... looks like I'm buying GTA Classics.

I approve - San Andreas is fantastic, and a bloody steal at that price.

So how many games have you guys ended up buying on Steam? I just counted all the ones in my library: 30 games.

30? Bah. Try http://steamcommunity.com/id/tyraarane/games?tab=all :P Steam really needs to quit having insane sales.

Sorry for the double post but GTA IV is on sale for $7.50 on Steam, though I don't know how long the sale will be for.

It seems to be something of a favourite for them, sale-wise  (gotta be at least half a dozen times, by my count).

I gave up on trying to out-do her games after that sale, there just weren't any more good games to buy :'(. Her ability to source new steam games is mind-numbingly god-like.

Five grand indie games for the price you choose yourself. Plus, you can choose to support the devs or charity, any proportion.

Nice. I don't know most of those games but Penumbra is really good. http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-3276-post-27141.html#pid27141
Everybody that gets the bundle are also able to buy the remaining Penumbra games (Black Plague and Requiem) with a 75% discount (for only $5 that is)!

That's insane! World of Goo makes it totally worth it. And Gish too? It's a must buy.

You can actually pay $0.01, a friend just confirmed it. Wonder how they split up $0.01 between developers? :P

You can, but I'd give World of Goo at least $2, and $5 if you're a decent human being.

Oh, no, no. I paid about $15 for the package, because I already had World of Goo on Steam. My friend also paid $9.99 to make a total contribution of $10. Think he gifted the other one.

But yeah, I think they're being a bit too generous in this case. Set a minimum limit of $5 or $10 at the least.

x_x You didn't tell actually tell them "Hey mom, dad, can I use your credit card to buy 5 games for a penny?," did you?

Because I'd think it was a scam too, tbh.

Tell them it actually costs $5 or something...

I just showed my dad the informational video "It's probably a scam, they can get your information and stuff from PayPal" one of the worst times not to have your own credit card ?.?

I just have a bank issued debit card. No reason to own a credit card at your age, you don't want debt piling up later.

The fact that it has Lugaru makes it instantly worth buying. Of course, I'm a broke college student, so I'm not going to be paying much. But I did at least go above the average.
