One of my friends picked up Henry Rodriquez last night; I have no idea how I missed him. 5 saves, 10 strikeouts, a 0.0 ERA and .84 WHIP.

On the other hand, he dropped Heath Bell, who I'm probably going to pick up even though he hasn't been great so far this year.

Harper gets his ML debut. Glad I picked him.

Harpers Numbers above Single A Ball:

HR.....................4
AVG............0.254
OPS............0.718

I'm not saying he won't be good. The sample size is small (229 Plate Appearances combined), but I'm not sure he's ready to dominate Big League pitching yet. I honestly thought you were stupid to pick him, 'cause I thought there was no chance he got the call this early in the year. Now that he is up, I like the pick.

I'd stay far away from Bell personally. I don't think he's that good anymore.

I knew he would get an early call if the Nats started out hot. Because if they started out slow there wouldn't have been a logical reason to call him up early (other than attendance, but I'm speaking on-the-field reasons).

Outside of Miggy my best players are terrible but my late rounders/WW players (Kipnis, Dunn, Cespedes, Ross, Davis) have been looking very good. Now if I could just get something out of Reyes/Stanton/McCann I would be looking pretty good.

So, sbr, you liking the http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Horker_Tusk?image=TESV_Horker_Tusk-png

My team has big Sundays, though I am not happy with their performance on any other day.

Is anyone else just totally shocked to see Pujols doing this badly? I mean, this has been the worst month of his career, and it isn't close. If I was an Angel's fan, I'd be worried right about now.

Fortunately the Mead Drinkers haven't had to whip out the (can anyone else just hear John Lester saying "9th inning rally beer"? LOL) http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Bloodmoon:Nord_Mead#Nord_Mead. The Drinkers have had two solid weeks in a row.

Not a huge fan. I actually let the thought enter my head I had a chance to beat you a day or two ago, I should have known. :glare:

Oh well, my keeper team is now 26-9-1.

I've been wondering what's going on ever since the season started. That 240 million or whatever it was is going down the drain every game. He hasn't just been not his old self, he's been really, really bad.

Yeah, especially when you consider that he's making $148,148.15 for every game that he plays on average.

I dropped Santos, Walden and Marmol yesterday in favor of Bell, Downs and Aceves. Santos is out for the better part of a month, Walden is getting replaced by Downs, and Marmol has been garbage. I realize that Aceves has had his share of troubles, but those have really been isolated to just 2 games...other than that, he's been pretty decent.

Aceves is really risky in my opinion, but he's looked a lot better lately- can he keep it up?

I had 0 saves last week. I think I had 3 or 4 blown save opportunities too, so it's not like I'm not trying.

I think so. I figure that even if he has a bad outing every so often, the Sox are still going to give him way more opportunities than anyone else I dropped.

My offense has been svcking the root lately, and tonight is no exception. One home run, 2 RBIs, one run and one steal. And by the way, that all came from one of my guys (except for the steal). They're 4 for 18 tonight. My pitching has been better, but I'm still down about 9 points over the last few days.

I've also been constantly putting off picking up Aviles; I have no idea who I'd drop to make room for him. He's making me pay for it :(.

Aviles has been a better pick for me so far than Gonzo. Who on Earth would have thought that would end up being the case?

And I picked up Aceves too, lol. I have way too many Red Socks on my team for comfort!

Figures, as soon as things are looking good for Pedey and Gonzo to give me some offense, they walk Gonzo to get to Anderson.

I was hoping Gonzo would give me a homer, some RBIs or at least a couple runs...all I got was a minor bump to the day's batting average from Pedey's double since Anderson got out.

Ugh, my team is only first in steals and batting average now. I'm somehow still clinging on to first (by 1 point), but if my guys don't pick it up soon, I'm going to be in a hole. My pitching has honestly been quite good recently, but my offense hasn't been doing squat.
