That furry thread

Wait what.
Have you never seen a girl with a naturally grown tail before? Just swinging there and doing some other suggestive stuff...
Neither have I.

I dunno, just some girls look like they have cat like faces. http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSPOtyV8l3Rsz4W4Jx1OJjJgG12RJ0-jyE8W3-rzO4xXEHUVPBECg for example (Could find a better picture but not right now) and a few other celebrities and people I know.

I wouldn't go near a girl with whiskers.
On that note I don't mean girls with facial hair like beards or moustaches

No, but I have seen http://plasticsurgerybeforeandafter.blogspot.com/2010/05/cat-woman-plastic-surgery.html, and I can't unsee it. Definitely a furry, ya? Reneer, Shadowscales, what say you? (Also, is that attractive to you.)

I don't really know what the...appeal is? I'd like to think of myself as tolerant kind of guy, but the sixual side to furryism is quite disturbing.
It's really not that disturbing. No more disturbing then a guy liking boobs or a woman being a fan of girth.

Personally, I'm not a furry myself, but they are ok peeps. Hell, I've even got this tail thing lying around that I sometimes use during...restrained activity.

O.O that's...uh, an interesting thought....

Anyway, about the topic at hand; I don't have anything against furries. They're no different than me (except my hobby is tabletop games), really. Like has already been said, I'd be a hypocrit to do anymore than raise an eyebrow to some of the more....extreme furries.

Also, does finding cat ears on girls attractive count as being a furry? I know it's been "defined" a couple times so far, but I'm still unsure what exactly constitutes someone being a furry.

Well no, finding humanoid animals attractive is nothing like finding men or women attractive. There are people that get turned on by fences and horses. Not saying furryism is as bad as that, but still it's not the same as finding a normal human being attractive.

men/Women are the most humaniod animals there are :whisper:
Look at evolution, then look at humans, you may never feel attraction again.

Dressing up as a fox is not evolution, it's just weird. I'm leaving this thread, may you all enjoy long and fruitful lives humping with tails and pointy ears.

...
I do enjoy Jay Naylor's comics though (not the porm ones, just Better Days and Original Life)
I was skimming the posts on this page and for some reason the word Naylor caught my eye  Yeah, I'm quite partial to Original Life, though if one plans to sit down and read it in one sitting they have to be ready for a long read that svcks them in.

Anyways, I'm a furry but I guess I might not be the best one to talk about furries. I'm relatively disconnected from the fandom just because a lot of furries really get on my nerves, and these are the same furries that "fursecutors" (I hate that word) paint the entire fandom to be like. The ones that leave creepy comments on FA submissions, the ones that talk about bestiality as if it was normal six, any furry who tries to be random and unique and it's all just blagh.

I have quite a few furry friends, a few of which I know in person, and they thankfully aren't like this. I just can't help but roll my eyes when I see a fursona that is "rave", or a furry who randomly hugs people they just met.

TLDR; A lot of furries are great people, but a lot of them are less than reputable and thusly I become annoyed and disengage from the community that is readily accepting of them.

To me one thing which is disturbing about it is that they're images/ behaviors you'd normally associate with children or children's entertainment. Grown advlts being into that... hmm. And I'd say the same for the pony craze. Not so much the people who just like the show (as incomprehensible as it is to me), but those who talk in the stupid pony language and pony-ify everything. I'd say that I want to understand, but I think I probably never will.

Hope the OP does not mind another skeptical post.

Well, you see, the thing about explicit furry images is that, like with a lot of furry art, the body is usually completely or near completely human, minus an animal head, fur, and a tail. The same physical features that people find attractive in people are often present in furry art. The humanoid properties are what set the works apart from drawings of animals, and it's the humanoid properties that help allow for feelings of arousal. To give a non-furry comparison, it would be kind of like finding Liara's or Tali's appearance in the Mass Effect games attractive, even though they have distinctly inhuman features. In fact, one might even find their appearances more interesting than that of human female squadmates, because of the exotic flair that their inhuman features give them.

@Mortis, Sometimes, people do strange things for the sake of being tied up.

Grown advlts doing what they enjoy doing? They must be mentally infantile and something must be wrong with them because they enjoy things that are arbitrarily designated as things made for children. Or... not.

I rather like this comparison - it certainly points to one of the issues that most people have regarding furries. Furry artwork generally contains enough human-like qualities that it's obvious why the work is attractive - what it differs in is the more aesthetic / cosmetic differences, just like someone who likes, say, tall men and women.

It usually doesn't. Just like when someone stars with "Now i don't mean to troll or be confrontational..." and proceeds to do just that :hehe:

I have absolutely nothing against Furries or the Furry fandom. People, of course, look at the worst side of anything. When I mention Ponies to my friends they call me a man-child. The concept is the same with Furries, people will judge, no matter how much explaining you tell them.

By the way, I thought it was about time for a Furry thread here.
