I my world, she's a Blade now and can't hardly believe it  Same goes for Mjoll & Aela
Oh, hehehe!
Well, Lydia and me... we have already called the banns. And we expect half of Tamriel on our wedding in the Temple of Mara.

Lydia actually came real for me. Yep, she stepped out of the monitor. She`s sat with me staring bemused at all you r funny posts. She says that she definitely couldn`t walk around by herself when in the game and she would`ve known a mile away if some wierdo turned into a horse and followed her-
She ain`t stupid. She told me. She`s right here.

This is true. I`ve asked her to write a little hello. Write hello, Lydia.

"Greetings, i`m Lydia, yes, the Lydia from Skyrim, for real. On bladey`s insistence I am saying hello to you all. He is my Thane so i must do as he says. And I would like to add that he-."

That`s enough, I said a little, not a speech!

See?

Haha, I get those guards coming through the door with me as well! Once Nazeem came in... it's like the gods were tempting me to murder him.

I had some guy enter with me because he was talking to me while I went in. Lydia shouted from upstairs "You don't belong here". I was actually hoping she would run down and beat him up, but he headed out the door too soon.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!! OMG does the real life Lydia just sit in your bedroom and eats bread and stares at you, too? hahahahahaha Bladey... hahahahahaha

Now, Lydia, being the very first housecarl I ever owned... I mean that ever served me in game, she and my Nord became fast pals. However, the longer time went on, Lydia's bad attitude became more and more apparent.

My Imperial moved out of the Whiterun house as soon as she could afford another one and hasn't seen or spoken with Lydia since...

My Breton Shadow also moved to Riften as soon as possible. She currently plays with the thought of taking Lydia along to "see" Boethia... hehehehe

Whenever we observe an unpleasant disturbance in the sequence of scripted events we feel pleasantly surprised, cos this kind of not forseeable action constitutes humans. We feel suddenly akin to the corrupted AI, and this is indeed the salt in the soup of the game.

Well said. I've been unloading junk on Grelka in Riften for ages, and she usually opens with how much she values me, then, after I sell what I can, it's usually, "are you just gonna stare all day?" Imagine my surprise today when she said, "C'mon, c'mon! Hurry up and buy something so that I can get drunk!" Made my day.

On a whim, I bought everything she had. She still barked that I better come back when I'm willing to spend some gold. Not wanting to yard this stuff back to the house, I put it in the barrel next to her stall. In doing so, I inadvertently dropped a costly bit of conjuration armor in. Hm. The barrel is marked "steal from barrel", but the item is mine. So no problem, right? I pull it out, see the 1 gold bounty placed on me, and she says, "you could've asked!"

Next thing I know a Riften guard is attacking me! There were no other guards in town. We ran circles about Grelka's stand, and Grelka said, "my money's on the big one." Finally, I ran back to Honeyside. Still no other guards around. Once inside, I saw Aela cooking, and Iona got up out of her seat and paced uncertainly about. After a bit, I asked her to follow me. We stepped outside and the guard was waiting. Two hits from Iona and he was dead. No bounty!

We wandered around town, but still there were no guards! Upon entering the Jarl's keep, though, a guard challenged me to pay off my bounty (1 gold). My other choices were the TG discount (0 gold), I'm the Thane, dammit, or fight. I chose Thane and that was that.

Fun times with weird events!

I had a wandering Lydia in an early game. She died and I created a new Lydia via console commands. I think she thought home was the place where I created her. If I dismissed her in Breezehome, she'd wander off out of Whiterun, tho' I never followed her.

I don't think the story is made up at all. I had to use placeatme 'lydia's code' in my most recent game because she simply wasn't at Dragonreach or Breezehome anytime I went to check there. I've never seen Lydia wandering but I have seen other NPC's, like Delphine show up randomly walking around Whiterun or the Companions half-way across the map fighting some bears. Certain NPC's have a 'roaming' script that cause them to get up and wander off occasionally, and Lydia could very well be one.

She isn't. She has exactly 3 AI packages. One that makes he approach and greet you when you first meet her, a sandbox package so she'll do random stuff like eat in Dragonsreach if you don't have Breezehome, and a sandbox package for Breezehome, which famously makes her sit in your bedroom all day...

The Companions on the other hand are scripted to do that. I've seen them fighting wild animals and bandits myself.

How do you make her do all that stuff?

My Lydia is a lazy cow who just sits in a chair all day munching on bread. And when I try to sleep she just sits there staring at me.
I want the adventurous Lydia not the creeper. Can I trade her in?
 that's all she does in my house too. I wish she would work some of those carbs off.
Ysloda on the other hand cooks uses the alchemy table. She even runs a store out of the house. I married her on my second playthrough, I should marry someone different this time.. But she rocks.. I might marry her again.

i killed Lydia i was in my bedroom in breeze home and i must of dont something to p**s her off cos she went made raging at me!! went fought just outside my room and when she died she was bent over the stair railings in a very erm "questionable position" and was there for like a week in game days before a courier gave me a letter of inheritance from lydia of 300 gold

im guessing i must have stole something from her or hit her at some point coz she was mad as hell! telling me i'd make a fine rug!!!

I just came in from work and found a huge deer on the table with all my stuff on the floor. Lydia was busy cutting it up.

"Dinner`s almost ready, my Thane. Where do you keep the cauldron?"

I was like, "what the hell? where`d you get the deer?"

"I just took a quick trip outside for food.." She meant she travelled all the way to the countryside 10 miles away and bagged a local animal!

"Tomorrow, i will show you the local supermarket," I said...

So if you see any reports of missing deer, just- er- ignore it.

p.s. there wasn`t much blood around though, she did a good job bleeding it out first...

I'm entertaining the idea of my next playthrough being "Lydia Huskarla", as Surenas named her in an earlier post. Just pretty much ignoring the main quest and exploring Skyrim as Lydia. Could be pretty fun.

It hasn't happened with my current character yet, but, sometime in the near future, Lydia will have a date with Boethia.

So I was playing some Skyrim today clearing out Hag Rock Redoubt or something like that west of Markarth when I noticed Lydia do a silent forward roll. I'd never seen here do this before. Hell, I'm pretty sure the character I was playing couldn't do that.

She is currently sitting inside my home in Whiterun, eating all of my food, and opening all my doors and cabinets.
One day, I might take her out in order to experience the exciting life of the Dragonborn. But knowing my luck with companions. She won't make it to Rorikstead.

Can't stand her. I used her today on a new character and remembered why she irritates me so much. That exasperated "I'm sworn to carry your burdens." ticks me off. So does that disgusted "Ooohhh!!" she lets out every time she runs into me (like she just stepped into a pile of dog poop). Not to mention the creepy factor of having her constantly eating and drinking in my bedroom. I wish a certain Deadric quest was available at level 10.

I told her to sleep in my bed, and she hasn't stopped.

And of course, she's still sleeping in my bed in Breezehome after we parted ways.

At least, she's conserving food by hibernating.
