The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra

Why did Azula have blue fire ?
Complete combustion produces a blue flame, and that normal fire is incomplete combustion. Taking into account that Azula is very much a perfectionist, it makes sense that her fire bending skill would cause complete combustion, instead of every one else's sloppy incomplete combustion.

And, mumatil, she's had blue fire since her appearance in book 2. It was only as a kid that she produced yellow/orange fire.

I think the blood would be diluted eventuall.y

Apparently Aangs grandkid may be a romance for Korra, atleast thats what I think I saw... Anyone else find that creepy ?

Why did Azula have blue fire ?

All of the Air Nation people were benders because of their spiritual nature.

Blood doesn't have anything really to do with it.

Blue fire signals a firebending prodigy.

I love the Avatar tv show, been watching it a lot recently, and I found this trailer on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmsT63BgFPw

It's for a miniseries called The Legend of Korra, which takes place 70 years after the events in Avatar. Main characters are the Avatar of the Watertribe (Korra) and Aang's and Katara's grandson, an airbender who's helping Korra master air.

What do you think of the trailer?
Looks great, the only thing I will miss from the Original Series is: Uncle Iroh. May Mako R.I.P. that man really made that series for me

I've heard various sources saying that the release of the series will be in mid 2012. When I first read about it (about 5 months ago) the wiki said it was to be release fall of 2011. Any confirmations please?

Why is everything modern if it has only been 70 years?

Why is everything modern if it has only been 70 years?

My explanation:
With the new presence of metal bending + the end of the war, it's quite reasonable that technology would take a huge leap. The fire nation would of course share its tech (they've had tanks? and blimps and warships - pretty advanced stuff) with the rest of the world, and with all four nations in peace, they would be collaborating off of each other and start a huge industrial revolution.

@Mexican Candy There's still no official air date, but it's definitely going to be early-mid 2012.

Modern? Doesn't look much past the 1920s or 30s technologically. But, for the sake of arguing:

1. They can BEND ELEMENTS! Making technological and infrastructure improvements much easier

2. Not everywhere is all that modern looking, like where Korra is from.

3. The Fire nation was pretty much in an industrial revolution during the original series. Our industrial revolution was from the early to mid 1800s, adding 70 years to that and you got... early 1900s.

I agree. 70 years is not unreasonable at all to have a 1920s-30s tech level. Just look at the 70 years from 1850 to 1920. We go from a little less then the tech level of the Fire Nation (Minus all the super complex Steampunk stuff) and to about what we have now. Although it seems that TLoK will be Steampunk more then anything.

Disappointed. I'll get it over it, but I wish it was sooner.

The earth benders were also industrious, just not at the level of the fire nation. And Zuko did pledge to help rebuild the earth nation, so it's likely the fire nation handed over some schematics and the ways of harnessing industry.

Plus, it seems that the nations have some diversity going on, instead of "fire/water/air/earth only!!!!" if I'm correctly deducing from the trailer.

I bought the previous series and I will definitely be buying this one. Gave the leaked episode a look and it's awesome, think I will wait with watching any more until the rest is out but it will be a pain to wait.

Watched the episode, damn. This is going to be one good series. It's taking me a little bit of time to get used to how much it's changed though.

Watched the leak. Really cool first episode. Moved kind of fast, and some of the dialogue was iffy, but overall I think it won't fail the series like that movie that doesn't exist. Korra is a pretty good character.

It's obviously still made for younger kids but I think, like the first series, it can catch and hold all of us older fans. Good stuff.

Also,
Spoiler
Katara getting interrupted when she was about to tell what happened to Zuko's mother was torture. Why? Why must they do this?

Eh, not interested. It takes an especially promising premise to get me to watch the extension of any series that ended, and going so far into the future with so many changes to characters and setting is a no-no to me. It'll just feel weird.
