The mystery of bugs that live in jars. Can we solve it.

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 6:05 am

I think y'all are confusing "pentagon", a five sided polygon, with "pentagram" a five-pointed star shaped symbol used in magical rituals. If someone is implying the five sided pentagon formed by the location of the five spots where these were found as having some magical aspect to them, then they are mixing it up. A pentagon is not a magical symbol. Also, yes, a pentagon does not have to have equal sides to qualify as a pentagon, but a pentagram, as a magical symbol, has to be symmetrical as a fundamental part of it's nature.

Pretty sure someone at Roosterteeth did this already. Look it up yourselves, I'm too lazy.
ya, that was pretty nice, he linked it to hannah montanna the movie game in a second vid. I got a kick out of the video

I think it's just Bethesda trolling.

Have not read the 100 posts here yet but...

When I was doing the Staff of Magnus quest for the College, the part where I align the lenses to reveal a map on the wall, the guy starts to say something about what was supposed to be highlighted on the map but wasn't.... something about it was supposed to show all the locations for something important that the mages were designing - and then he stopped suddenly as if he had already said too much.

If anyone is doing that quest right now it would be nice if we could catch that snippet of dialogue.

Or just wait until the ck is out, then we should be able to bring up the dialog.

So I've never played Runescape, but I just came across http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Butterfly_jar. Butterflies in jars that can be used to increase others' skills. And Skyrim's bugs in jars have runes underneath the lids. Coincidence?

A summon would be kind of cool..since they are all bugs maybe you will summon Mothra or one of the Giant Ants from the movie Them.

On a serious note however I would love to be able to catch bugs myself and put them in jars. I could then line some shelves with every available insect in the game.

....or you could go oldschool and make them fight each other like in Rogue Galaxy...lol

Meh, you're entitled to your opinion, but IMO, you're being a snob..

I think they are the long lost proof of global warming that Al Gore has been searching for. That guy is just lonely.

Did Prima do the NWN guide, or was that Versus? I'm thinking the latter, but boy was that thing a piece of garbage. The horrible "jokes," lots of incorrect information, and plenty of typos (like a +21 sword). Plus, since they wanted it to be ready in time for the game's release, they published it while the game was still in development. They didn't even know how the game ended! I think it said something like "Step through the portal and...we're not quite sure what happens next."
I'm pretty sure Prima did a BG guide. I remember it vaguely, cause I didn't own that guide. I remember quest info being little more than a few blurbs. Much of it was devoted to a "journal" detailing a characters in-game adventures. Ironically, Khalid survived the quest, but Imoen died in the Cloakwood Mines.

That being said, I havent bought a strategy guide in quite some time. In fact I think it may have been NWN. There's walkthroughs on the internet, wikis, forums. Plus, I do like to find out a lot of things on my own.

See, that's the thing. I totally expected him to give me a staff with 0 charges, like he implies. I got it and it was 75% charged. Weird. Game has a lot of inconsistencies like that.

There is no mystery... Beth hired professional level designers, and one of the ideas of these designers was to make a unique dungeon decoration.

Bwa, I want to see more conspiracy theories ... it was really funny. Maybe they know something? Maybe the date of the end of the world?
