There was never anything wrong with the class system part de

No, because I guarantee you didn't have 170+ serious RPs in just Oblivion alone and way more in Morrowind. Did you? Did you put almost 10,000 hours (actually, probably around 8,000) into arguably the worst ES alone, and almost double that in Morrowind? I guess your just mad because I schooled you in birth signs?

Well, somebody has too much free time on their hands...

"Btw Sheogorath may or may not return, cause now it's Jyggalag.....I'm sorry, Jygga-who? Never heard of him."
"Btw the Falmer are rumored to be extinct. Hint hint, the keyword is RUMORED so they might be this super cool civili-OOPS LOL NVM they're Goblins because the Dwemer enslaved them and fed them poison mushrooms. Because that's how you produce good slave labor: by feeding them poison mushrooms."
LoL so true. I was hoping I'd see Jyggalag and his Knights of Order. But noooo, they simply put Sheogorath back :(
Where's my Jyggalag? The guy is awesome at its best

EDIT:
Btw, isn't 10k hours the time needed to be a master at something? I read somewhere 10k hours is the equivalent of 8 years or 10

Regarding lockpicking, I think the easiest method of balancing would simply be to (1) make each class of lock harder to pick via the mini-game, and (2) make picks considerably more rare. If both those were done, the perks would be worth the investment.

If that were the case I could see it being a smart idea to return the mages' open lock spells and add an option for the musclier types to simply break locks or smash the lids and hinges of chests. It would be noisy, and perhaps set off traps, and maybe even damage some fragile contents, but it would make sense.

Or, somebody only plays ES and a handful of strat games.

Uh, I'm not gonna' say a bad thing about you bud. It's all good. I'm sure you're all about your rp style......calm down.

I have rp builds still existing on my windows 95 dinosaur....hard drive with 30+ characters saved (and you can guess which game in the TES series that would be).

Daggerfall alone svcked up over 1500 hours alone, Morrowind I can't count..........and, Since the release of the Morrowind overhaul mod.......I have it installed yet again.....and, yes, it's a masterpiece

I bow to your infinite wisdom ..

I have RP builds still from my Avalon Hill RPG transformation (Wooden Ships and Iron Men RPG transformation), before there was even D&D. This is turning into a fun (honestly) little pissing match.

Morrowind was great.

Daggerfall was my first love.

Oblivion was a disaster, but I played it and played it and tried to like it past the 2000 hour mark.

Arena.....was ............my first free game. hahahaah.

Skyrim .......Haven't formed a complete opinion yet.

Yeah, no. Take it to PMs if need be and let the thread get back on topic.

It's not really a pissing match from my end. I 'm guessing you have the same grey color hair that I do.

D & D .....yep.

still have a red manual here somewhere.......I believe it's a collector's item, but not quite one of the "very first"

I respect you man........I really do....

It's all good here.

:) I will stay on topic from here on out.......promise

Oh, give me a break? 10,000 hours? In a game that came out six years ago? I'm calling BS on that. 10,000 hours is 416 days and some odd hours. Are you seriously claiming to have spent a sixth of the past six years playing Oblivion? Bull.

It was more like 8000, look at my edit. And yes, around 170 builds plus. That's about right. Its pretty much all I ever played. That's something like 333 days, that's about right for OB. Of which I still play, Morrow as well.

Eh. I guess they found it a bit silly that people were jumping ridiculous heights and such. I'll agree that one's likely a bit difficult - but I expect they took some of that out in order to keep people from simply breaking every quest and also to keep them from jumping out of cities and screwing things up regarding cells. You could jump over city walls in Oblivion, and things were really, really weird.

You know, being an acrobat is less of a class and more of a vocation. A true anomaly, though fun in Oblivion, but ultimately has little bearing in the grand scheme of things.

So, technically, you can still create any 'class' you want.

I mean, I can't play a window washer in Skyrim... but you get my drift.

Fair enough.

The point is, the system of skills and perks in Skyrim allows you to create any sort of build, really. Unarmed combat is not really a factor in the game now, so there's that, but anything that's in the game can be combined however you want. Sneaking, thieving, archery, melee, several kinds of magic, smithing, etc., can all be combined into whatever you want.

If you did not get the less than subtle hint the last time I had to print one of these I will now repeat for dummies.
You will quit the personal attacks.
You will quit replying to my every post with a snide remark, you will quit whatever it is that gets your jollies right this instant.
If you think I wont turn on my sprinklers to chase you off my lawn you are mistaken.
My word, I am here to discuss the mechanics of the game, I have zero interest in.. in.. high-school.

Uh..who are you, Jesus Christ? I don't think so cutey.

I won't 'do' anything based off your whim. No one has made any personal attacks. I don't need to "attack" you to point out your huge hypocritical tendencies. I could simply post some of your post on this forum here via copy and paste. Is that a personal attack too?

Do you want me to massage your feet?
