i think its official, the werebears are beths idea of a sick

People, look, you really have to cool it over werebears. I honestly don't see the big deal. Yeah, they're in, yay. Do I care if I can be one? Well... no, not really. We already have werewolves and vampire lords, and I honestly much prefer being a vampire. Why would we need the ability to turn into something that's essentially a werewolf clone? I'm GLAD they didn't make them playable. I'd rather not have to put up with threads that are nothing more than people complaining about how they expected more than a werewolf clone.

Beth makes great games, but they are awful people.

That's a very sweeping statement.

Yep, this was a giant troll by Bethesda. Unfortunately it pales in comparison to the torture of the riekling spears, I mean they couldn't just make it to where we couldn't pick them up? Why did they have to make them into arrows? Why?.

Yeah "werewolf clone" is the problem. Don't mind million "cloned" dungeons and quests. Cut the crap...

I lol'd at this.

If you think these dungeons are cloned, then you need to cut the crap. There are no two alike dungeons in the whole game.

Similar architectural styles, but definitely not cloned.

If you like, I can get the definition of "Clone" and put it in here. :)

I'm not assuming anything, there are forebears in the game, you literally see three men change into them before you in the mountains, but you can't become one of them, it's a tease. Umbra was never hinted at, Umbria did not make an appearance in the dlc and become unplayable, I don't see how your dumb example applies
bethesda specifically showed a seeker spitting a gross ring of light colored ooze at the pc, but i couldnt do it in game!
what a bunch of trolling arseholes!

With this logic we shouldn't have new swords, maces, axes, ect. Since they're just "clones".

So then do you rage at real estate developers for the home you live in?

"They've all got doors, and halls, and all of the walls are built from wood and dry wall!!!!! Why must I live in this cloned piece of crap?!?!?!?"

Give it a rest. The dungeons in Skyrim are about as far from being cloned as you can get. Plus, the very look of the dungeons changes depending on what terrain type you entered it from.

Your argument is flawed.

There's trillion ways Bethesda could may werebears "different" than werewolves. Running into guards and sending them flying is one for example.

Can somebody give me the link on where bethesda said there will be werebears?
They didn't so people need to stop asking this stupid question. Its the simple fact that they are in and not playable. Thats what the joke/troll is on Beths part. That would be like putting Umbra in the game and sticking it in a rock and never letting use it at all. Then all the people that wanted Umbra would be whining saying the same thing, and then I could ask the same stupid question.

My best guess what happened is they weren't pleased with PC Werebears yet or hadn't figure a way to add PC Werebears without ruining something else yet... But they done enough to allow NPC Werebears and decided to add them in "Dragonborn".

Same thing with spears prolly.

~Edit~

Tbh, it doesn't bother me much. I'm sticking to my normal Werewolf self.

I heard it is possible to get spear via a glitch but when you use it, it is highly glitchy and pretty much will crash the game.

I think it IS their idea of a joke. They were like "OMG, what morons are asking for werebears? LOL LOL LOL. Hey, wait, lets pull out the most ridiculous stops and put some [censored] and stupidly ridiculous werebears on the island. Yeah, yeah, we know, its totally and completely lame, but it would be funny as all get out because you just know some Napoleon Dynamite D&D guy with no girlfriend is going to lose his mind with the awesomness." Then they all laughed and put werebears in the game.

I give this entire dlc a 8 rating. Would have been a 10 if not for the ridiculous werebears. Yeah, they are worth 2 point deduction.

instead we add 2 points for that, and so for mini- spearrows :bunny:

so the score would be 12 or 13/10 :bunny:

They can't give us spears or playable Werebears but they can give us a halfassed Dragon Riding. :swear:

As for using spears as arrows... Think about it! You got them from midgets... They are midget sized! A midget spear is prolly the size of our arrows!

I don't mind the lack of an ability to play as werebears in the Dragonborn expansion. However, and I hate to sound as if I possess a false sense of entitlement, but the exclusion of spears baffles me.

It seems like Bethesda was unable to truly perfect the animations for their use as weapons. I recall an interview with one of the developers (perhaps even Todd Howard) about the difficulty faced when attempting to program spear use in Skyrim. Regardless, Dragonborn was not marred one bit by this, in my opinion.

Lore says werebears are in Skyrim. Bethesda gives us Skyrim, but no werebears. Lore says vampires are x in Skyrim. Bethesda gives us Skyrim, but vampires are y.

So what do they do? Turn "Underworld" into a DLC for the vampire lovers and add unplayable werebears in another DLC.

They're doing it wrong. Games should be built around the lore. The lore should not be built around lazy developers and outdated engine limitations.

That's totally different. That's like them putting umbra on a shrine or in a rock and not letting you have it. Why would they put Werebears in and not let us play as them??

They did this. There's an axe in Dragonborn stuck in a rock I like, but I can't get. I don't think they did it just to bug me.
