I learned a long time ago that insults typically only hurt if they're true.
That's irrelevant however, because even if the comment he made can't be specifically applied to you, it can be applied to a large amount of posters here.
A lot of old school fans, have taken that stance ever since they learned that FO3 wasn't being made by the original developers, and it's created a large, unnecessary rift in the fanbase.

Maybe it's just me, but I personally find complaining about a game inspired by 1950s science fiction comic books looking "cartoonish" a bit silly.

Frankly, I don't think Fallout 3 looked any less cartoonish than its predecessors outside of the obvious improvement in the jump from 2D graphics to 3D graphics. The art direction wasn't anymore realistic; it was just as cartoony as its predecessors in that department... it was just a different kind of cartoony.

I agree with topic creator, this game is a huge disappointment.

FO3 was the opposite, I had no idea what I was getting with FO3 and was really surprised with what I got, it was great fun and I played it for months.

this game on the other hand.. just terrible.

the whole new vegas concept just fails. casinos and factions fail. the story fails. enemies fail. quests fail. locations fail... and so on.

I saw the "documentaries" on youtube, where you would see developers talking about the great game that was coming out, and talking about the strip as if it was something out of this world and then when you get there its just tiny road in between to walls its just ridiculous.. it is terrible game

I'm just posting my opinion so that developers know that some people got disappointed, sad, heartbroken, with the terrible choices they made, and the terrible game they released. and maybe some negative feedback is good sometimes, dont you think??

They could have made it with spirtes Fallout 2 or Jagged alliance style and I would have loved it all the same. *shrug*

The fact that you make such a huge distinction between the two games is pretty telling to me. Suffice it to say I disagree with you.

210 hours in and your right this game is awful...I am not sure if I can stand another 60+ hours, but I look forward to finding out! Seriously do you have any taste?

I think this is better then FO3 feels more like the original Fallouts 1-2. But obviously you have issues with the game....better luck on your next game.

What I have read is that words hurt, and I agree.

There should be speech damage in the game to attack ones flee meter. All players and companions should have a dairy.

Well, i think that New Vegas feels like more Fallout 2 in fact, meanwhile Bethesda used another ideas in Fallout 3
