I started with FO3 and yup, I am worried for Fallout's Future. I call my myself a "fan" becuase I have spent hours learning up on lore and what made Fallout 1 and 2 great.
This trend of modern gaming worries me badly. I think that this is why our industry is getting attacked on so many fronts; people think that all gamers are idiots who want everything to come easy.
Well, if this is really the case, I'd consider you more of an actual fan seeing as you actually took time to look into the past of Fallout and realize why it was so great in the first place.
Most just seem to pickup Fallout 3, mindlessly play it, and seem to disregard that Fallout 1 and 2 even existed. There are still people who consider Fallout 3 to be the first game in the series, which makes me rage a little. It's kind of like some people who call New Vegas
Fallout 3 New Vegas. :shakehead:
Also, I really am worried about the trend of gaming as well. The genre of FPS has already gone downhill (everything is either CoD, or wanting to be CoD), so I fear it's only a matter of time before the RPG genre enters the same fate.
