This Game is Terrible.

I don't see anything wrong with the graphics themselfs, the artistic direction could've taken a bit bigger gap from the previous game, though.

Really now? So if this game were on CryEngine3 or IdTech5 it wouldn't have any higher appeal for you? Come on. The graphics could have been better and should have been. I appreciate what Obsidian did with other aspects of the game but damn! Handing me a grey stick with a hexnut glued on as a sight and calling it a 'varmint rifle' was a bit distracting.
I always like the comment from people who say graphics don't make a game, but lets use an extreme example here, if the holodeck were to become a reality, would those people be saying the same thing, to be able to step into the world you currently only see on a 2D monitor, I'm an old geezer, gimme the holodeck any day!

Sure, that would be cool, but if the game mechanics ended up svcking ass, you'd better believe I'd stick with the "old-fashioned" games that did it better.

Definitely not. CryEngine3 or IdTech5 would make my computer run screaming for it's mommy.

The graphics are about equal to Fallout 3 (and I know you disagree with that), which is about the best I expect from my current computer.

Better hope the game mechanics don't svck, could lose the safety protocols while fighting a deathclaw!

Sadly VATS has been nerfed from FO3 to FONV and you need to take specific perks to bring it back closer to it's former glory.

Guns in general however has been totally buffed, from the varmint rifle all the way up the line you are benefited with a tighter spread overall for the single shot rifles, better aiming though iron sights and awesome uniques.

You don't even need to max out your guns skill to take advantage of one of the best weapons in the game, the Sniper Rifle (Guns 75 to take full advantage) , which thanks to the suppressor mod, the 5x critical chance and the hand loaded .308 JSP ammo, makes it pretty damn godly.

Seriously, there are people who nerf themselves in the game for a better challenge by either leaving out the suppressor mod or use the Gobi Sniper Rifle instead.

Sorry to hear that. =/ Still there's the Brush Gun, That Machine, The All-American and even the Gobi, even without supressors, they are all decent guns...

There should be two sticky threads. One entitled: "I don't like this game - post here" and one entitled: "I love this game - post here". Then the rest of us could discuss important things like epileptic strippers, how wimpy the Great Khans are and which would you rather eat: 200 year old Salsbury Steak, or a fresh Boatfly Slider.

i would like to say [censored] this game dude. i love fallout, i really do but i hate fallout new vegas not because of wat you say but simply because a i can't even start the stupid game. i could in the biggining and i enjoyed the game verry much dispite the bad quality of graphs and ocasional freezing of the game. today i sit here behind my ps3 wanting too start FNV and all i get is (ERROR OCURED) ans some pointles blabing saying i got too chek my other games too see if they work (and they do). i cleaned my ps3 system made a backup and everything and it still doesnt work. i go too the store explaining the situation and get a new copy. but still no result, i submit too you (bethesda & obsidian) test your games proper before selling this cr*p you call a game. i hope you read this and think twice before shipping your games.

greets a pissed of gamer

I'm surprised they've never had hotdogs in the game.

Thank you for that wonderful insight into your opinion, Mr. Fraggle, I now grow a wiser and older person knowing that you think this game is terrible.

if you'd of bothered to read ANY of the information given out before the game was relesed then you'd of known before buying that this was in many ways going to be a glorified expansion pack running on the same engine (albeit the best damn expansion pack i've ever seen) also, you clearly haven't bothered to read the in game help files to understand how the combat system even WORKS or you wouldn't have made that frankly ridiculous statement about the power of the guns. i have no respect for the opinion of someone who clearly has no idea what the hell he is talking about.

Personally I think the game is great. There's hours and hours of exploring and things to do. I've never had the game give me any game breaking glitches or bugs, but I still do get the more common bugs. (Reloading glitch, crashing to XMB, unable to continue a quest...) There's so much content in this game that I love, but the sheer number of bugs and glitches is just overwhelming. I do not however regret buying this game, nor do I hate it. I simply think that they should have released it as a finished product not the Beta type thing they gave us.

First expansion pack I've ever heard of that was bigger than the original game. Using the same engine does not make a game an expansion pack.

Why do we keep posting for an OP that didnt even finish the game? AND he doesn't even have the balls to repost to defend his first post? The game is great. As a fellow PC user for all games that can be on the PC, I have not had any bugs or crashes related to the original game (its modded like crazy now so i get the random crashes for mods not working right)

Gobi gets nerfed too :P JE Sawyer found the 5x crit multiplier to be a bit ridiculous.

As for testing, once again, Obsidian barely had any time between the game being finalized for testing and the game being shipped off for release (about maybe 3 weeks or so), so that is why the released product was in the shape it was. If Bethesda allowed for pushing back the release to allow for further testing, the game would've have been filled with less bugs and the like.

I guess I seem to be one of the rare people on here who had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS with the unpatched version, but eh. Who cares about my opinion, right?

Geeze, I hope not, it's the only reason I go hunting for that gun, I have 4 favorites in the game, Gobi, Ratslayer, Cowboy repeater and Varmint rifle, please Obsidian, I beg you, don't mess with my favorites!

Seeing how the "fans" who started with Fallout 3 would be in a complete uproar if this ever happened, saying stupid statements among the lines of "Fallout was never a turn based game to begin with" or "Turn based svckz!!!", I really don't see this happening, sadly. :sadvaultboy:

The only future turn based Fallout I see on the horizon is Fallout Online, which even the combat system there is quite unknown and the game itself is in rather shady territory. Be it still being in court, or the game itself.

Turn based and isometric do svck, but that's just my opinion and the reason I could not complete FO2, I tried, but the turn based action just frustrated me, as for the isometric, well lets just say I prefer up close and personal.
