Sounds like they'll be supporting this for a long time. Longer then any of their previous titles.

It's good that they have big plans for skyrim, but it isn't going to be anytime soon... I'm a patient guy, I can wait. In the meantime ill give Oblivion and ME3 a whirl :)

As always, my primary request for DLC: a chance to discover it organically like anything else in the original game. My least favorite part of DLC is the way it gets unceremoniously dropped on you. What I would love is an option where you can choose one or the other: have the DLC just dropped in your lap or find it like anything else.

My addendum: there must be unused elements of Adam Adamowicz's work sitting around. Design some DLC around realizing that. Have portions of the proceeds for that DLC go to cancer research.

They can take their time. Get more and more FIXED on the original before adding to it.

This is good, it seems like instead of just doing bug fixes in the patches there going to be adding stuff.

Am i just buying their marketing, or has Bethesda really taken a better approach to post release support with Skyrim than their previous games?

This is good news for all Skyrim fans. And it's nice to hear confirmation that they did not balance their past games because they didn't think it was worth the investment, instead of some ridiculous notion some posters have that the games are unbalanced on purpose to add 'choice'. Obviously the rebalancing they mentioned will have to be done for free, and I hope they do it gradually with mini-patches on the PC, and release a huge balance patch for the consoles.

This is VERY good news :) Mini-content patches seem very good.

How much will come to pass is open to debate, but if nothing else this is a welcome sign from BGS. Hopefully it'll translate into good things (the high-res DLC is a promising portent in that instance).

bugfixes before DLC please. Knowing bethesda any DLC will likely introduce a crapload of new bugs. They already have to clean up after the bugs patch 1.4 introduced, let alone the hundreds of other bugs.

TO HELL WITH DLC! FIX THE DAMN GAME FIRST. WE SHOULD NOT BE SUPPORTING THIS LIKE OBEDIENT LITTLE CONSUMER SHEEP.

No, you're absolutely right. Bethesda has released as many patches for Skyrim in three months as they released during the entire lifetime of Morrowind or Oblivion.

That seems rather rude, ive seen games with worst releases such as "Daggerfall", "Stronghold 3", "Game of thrones:Genesis.

Free DLC between expansions? If he isn't lying then that's awesome but I doubt it happens.

Glad to see they're keeping more towards the expansion pack dlc side than just mini-content dlcs.

"It's, you know, it's not bug-tested, polished, balanced"

Neither was the main game.

I totally agree with you. It's nice to see Beth talking about DLC and expansion packages but what about the glitches that they fail to correct? Glich fix first.

That seems rather rude, ive seen games with worst releases such as "Daggerfall", "Stronghold 3", "Game of thrones:Genesis.

Why is it rude for Earthlinger to express his feelings? Sorry but I support the idea that Beth fix up these terrible glitches and bugs before they release the DLC or any other big expansion packages that they have plan for the future. Some glitches prevents the player from continuing the quests. I can only feel for those who plays the game in console... since their unable to use console command to fix these forsaken glitches. They must wait until theirs a patch.. It can take months to obtain.

You may not encounter glitches but wait until it happens to you... Your whole demeanor will soon change.

oh and on the article it mentions:

"It looks like a ton of stuff that could ship right now," he admitted, "but it's in a sizzle video. It's, you know, it's not bug-tested, polished, balanced." He thinks it shows off the creativity of his team and says that some of it is being worked on, but don't take that as the blueprint for the expansions."

So you see it may look all great... but it's probably loaded up with bugs just as Earthlinger explained.

Ive been playing since november and have encountered game freezeing bugs, and I still stick to my Idelogy of Skyrim being amazing, Its right to express your feelings but I found it rather rude with his little "Comment" about people who love the game as being "sheep".

I imagine most of them are not much further than the "proof of concept" stage.

As many bugs as the game might have, it was at least beyond that.

New Vegas wasn't developed by Bethesda Game Studios, it was made by Obsidian Entertainment
