Ulfric Stormcloak is a two-faced liar.

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:57 am

If the Imperials treat you so good, why does Tullius tell you to get lost after you do the Imperial questline. He must obviously treat you so good since he only does things like promote you while Ulfric says that you are like family to him, he allows you to buy a house, and gives a speech especially commemorating you.

/sarcasm

Stormcloaks treat you like family while Imperials treat you like a soldier. Tullius is racist since he says things like "You Nords and your damn jarls." and "You Nords and your bloody sense of honor." That says that he looks down on Nordic culture since he acts as though it is nonsense. Even in Oblivion, when the Empire was fine and dandy, you could talk to a Nord NPC and they'd say that Imperials treat they unfairly because they are considered uncivilized savages by Imperial standards. If the Nords were treated lesser to Imperial culture, what makes you think it will improve after a civil war?

lol. Tullius isn't being racist when he says those things. The context is that about his sense of efficiency and order. Besides that, right after you get the jagged crown, he bites his tongue on the Nord legends and stuff. He realizes that he should've listened to Rikke earlier.

No idea what your talking about.

Stormcloaks treat you like family while Imperials treat you like a soldier.

Hmm, Imperials treat you like a soldier...would that be because....you are a soldier??

Is Tullius supposed to give you a hug and a kiss?

They treat you like a brother in arms and I find that alot better than how the Stormcloaks treat you.

fenrir.... your points (assuming you have any, which is up in the air at this point) could be made without the font crap you're doing. I'm done with you until you post in normal white. I'm not going to read your eye-bleeding crap any more.

I don't care about families. lol wtf. What is this, the Cosby show?

I'm not even sure the imperials treat me like a soldier, per se, either. Rikke and Tullius call the PC an auxuliary, and set them apart because of their resourcefulness (and kind of overlook the questionable means you do to get things done).

Stormcloaks are more Brothers-in-arms then the Imperials, After I finished the Imperial civil war, I was IGNORED by ALL Imperial soldiers, After the Stormcloaks side, Every Soldier I run into praises me, and calls me Storm-Blade, now I find that to be more rewarding then fighting for something as weak as the Empire, submitting to Elves, what a shame, Ulfric is the future of Skyrim like it or not.

Heh. Yup. Kind of like the Bard's College.... Viarmo could care less if you can carry a tune or play an instrument - but wow, you have a very useful set of abilities and there just happen to be three college primes who need help....

Brothers in arms is kind of creepy to me. Whenever people start getting all cozy and start talking about family, I want to run for the nearest door. I mean, in real life. And it's definitely not something I need to express in a game.

Stormcloaks don't stand a chance against the Thalmor.

A united Empire is the only chance that the world has against them.

United we stand, divided we fall.

Have to agree with that. Family is NOT my idea of cozy. In fact.... just spare me.

Then why did the empire surrender to the Thalmor? Sounds like theyre the ones who dont stand a chance, and they know it.

Well, Who says anyone can really beat the Thalmor? I agree they are strong, and that if a Massive force like the Empire cant beat them, who can? But they gave in, the Stormcloaks have more motivation, and hatred behind it. Also, the Stormcloaks tactical wise, would most likely be guerrilla warfare, And that usually forces the greater war forces into submission because they dont know how fight it. (Such as Vietnam, Korean War, The wars in the middle east, Hell, Even back to the revolutionary war when American beat the British) and I say WOULD use tactics, because the AI doesn't really allow for much tactics in-game wish, but I assume lore-wise, it would. Thats just my view though.

EDIT: Also, the Rebels vs the Empire (Star Wars), just thought id throw that in there. Haha

I don't think the imperials are more racist- just that racism is de rigeur in Tamriel. It's especially ironic that everyone's heart is bleeding for the Dunmer and Argonians, who have been enslaving and killing each other for centuries.

And, the OP is 12 years old? That explains a lot. lol

So Torygg accepts to fight someone who he admires for no reason at all that is known to him?

Yes. Because if he didn't, the moot would meet and he would lose his position as High King. And would be looked upon as a coward.

Ra'vhash has no time for the petty squabbles of men. Ra'vhash is more interested in adventure, making a name for himself. Leave the war to the fool-hardy, and leave it to the cunning to turn a profit.
- Ra'vhash, Khajiit - Rogue

Dar'viera thinks somewhat alike; the Empire and Stormcloaks being busy killing each other benefits the organisation she's associated with  And some others too. I for one welcome our new Falmer overlords  (Until they get killed by our future Thalmor overlords )

However, as i haven't played the Stormcloak side yet, i can't really take a position in this debate

Maybe, but don't forget that the Legion wiped out the main Dominion army and later ambushed and captured Ulfric. And they hate the Thalmor as much as the Stormcloaks, if not more.

Yes the Empire is seemingly weakening, but this is not the first time that a Cyrodiilic Empire, lacking a Dragonborn Emperor, was on the verge of crumbling. Potentate Versidue Shaie proved that just because an empire was on the decline didn't mean that the trend couldn't be reversed.
