My eyes are going to implode from playing this game!

the tiny subtitles and the damn tile matching game (the one where you have to spin the image to match it up) are terrible on the eyes

Oh well still a good game though

I vote we have a poll for voting for our favorite assassin:

Ezio or Altair

It would enhance my foruming experience

I enjoyed the game quite a bit. Rented it, rushed through it somewhat, took me 5 days. I wanted more intricate assassinations. 90% of assassinations felt like just getting to the location. Then climb something, then run up to a guy who turns yellow with eagle vision and kill him. Eh. Good gameplay though.

I am thoroughly enjoying this game. I've only had one moment of frustration init, and it was the same as in the last one. For some inexplicable reason, it is near impossible for me to climb that battlement in Acre. The text is okay if I sit two feet from my TV. (I have no excuse. The TV's from the 70's and made out of wood. The picture works so I feel no reason to upgrade.) The missions are fun, and bashing the random peasants' heads in with their own rake has been one of the most entertaining things I did last year. (And this year)

Altair is better IMO. Although I like the AC2 a lot better.

Altair is definitely more [censored], but Ezio is a better character. (I vote Ezio)

Ezio is so much better than Altair. Because, y'know, he doesn't have an inexplicably American accent thats awkwardly voiced and actually seems to have something resembling a personality.

So yeah, I preferred Assassin's Creed 2, less repetitive as well.

Ezio has more of a personality, and doesn't seem like a monotone robot with no heart. Ezio has actual personality and character as well as dashing looks and compassion for people. Everything a good assassin requires (he's also an amazing fighter).

Not to mention he CAN SWIM! Ezio whips Altair through and through.

Ezio. We learned more about HIM as when we played Altair we learned more about the Organization he worked for.

Altair wins for not being a jock, a rapist or a girl.

Also, when I played AC1, it never occured to me to try these instant kill moves. Instead I tried to swordfight every person, which was impossible in the mass templar battle with Richard. I read it in the manual. First guy - Grab him, trip him up, insta-kill. rinse and repeat. It would have been a hell of a lot quicker if I'd realised that at the start.

Anyway, The chosen one got his ass kicked by an ant at the same time my computer BSOD, so I'm gonna go and play AC2 since I've been neglecting it in the face of AOE, C+CTB, SMAC and Fallout, as well as many other acronyms. Like FUBAR. Yes, my gaming rig is FUBAR. back to the PS3 for a bit.

So pretty much it's like the first? It's ending confused me.

Pretty much I assume like the ending of the first, the ending of the second will be explained in the third.

Altair was way too cocky, and there was no story with his life. He was an assassin, big whoop.
Ezio, on the other hand was the son of a wealthy banker/ undercover assassin, and took on the role of his father, which makes for a much better story.

Plus, Ezio dressed better! :P

I'm currently playing this game, and it is awesome. Possibly one of my all time favorites.

Ezio is far better in my opinion. Way better story behind him than Altair.

The third one might be a little weak on the story, SPOILER-

Spoiler
Desmond doesn't really seem all that fascinating as a character, and it seems like he will be the next assassin.

I thought he was just certain of his abilities. He didn't feel too cocky to me. I mean, the guy can jump on buildings and knife people silently Ezio had no reason to be cocky apart from the fact that he's an Italian transvestite.

Also, your new avatar scares me. :cold:

Altair was cocky and arrogant at the beginning. He is later humbled as
Spoiler
he has to go through the steps of becoming an assassin once more after his botched mission.

Ezio is some punk kid who was thrust into becoming an assassin and should not have any other skills than street fighting. His sword skills at the beginning are a mystery and really does not make any sense as he can pull off some amazing attacks and aerial maneuvers as he moves from rooftop to rooftop despite being a novice (plothole?)

It's only later, 2 years later, when he returns to Florence two years after training with his uncle that it makes sense that he has some skill. Even then, he would be no match for Altair who had trained his whole life as an assassin and had been in many real fights that would have made him a battle hardened warrior.

So in terms of skill, realistically Altair is way better. I also like his cold attitude that many feel is underacting (from reading the thread) but I think he plays out a cold killer who is used to battle.

My vote goes to Altair

Yeah it's too bad if Altair and Ezio were put up against in a fight we all know who would win. Ezio would just
Spoiler
shoot Altair with his gun.
:P
I like Altair more.

And are there any new things that they added that wasn't in the first? and please use spoiler tags at all times when saying even the slightest spoiler.
