Do you have a gold subscription? Im sure its just a server error. I'd try back again tomorrow. It is in its beta stages, though.

Yes I do, and yes I'll probably try again tomorrow.

EDIT: Oh no... I've figured out why its not working. I used my ubisoft account, yes, but my email wasn't linked to my gamertag. So basically, I'm done for, there's no possible way to log out of the account and it's been linked to my gamertag....

Spoiler

In Assassin's Creed story, the humans were created as slaves to super hi-tech aliens and they were controlled with golden apples :D
Adam and Eve were the first to rebel and succeed.

At first when i was playing AC1 I thought the ending and the way the story turned out svcked, but now, I'm actually really liking it. :)

Well they did mention that there would be an Assassin's Creed III even before Assassin's Creed II was being developed

In fact I believe they made it pretty clear that it would be a trilogy

Does anyone know how to get a lost weapon back? I blew 42,000 florins on the Sword of Altair, and I lost it in the last mission. Is there any way I can get it back?

Go back to the Villa, and once you're inside, turn left and go in the door. That's your weapons room, and the Sword of Altair should be on one of the sword racks.

Spoiler
I completed it today, its fun playing a game that suddenly jolts from Robin Hood to Stargate. The thing about the slave revolt seems to come from the old Sumerian creation myth. It was far and away better than the original, getting rid of those hideous fact finding missions, and introducing allies. I liked the bit with Altair as well, the way the camera didn't follow him after he impregnated the woman, as there was no more DNA memory of Altair after that point. I fail to see why Borgia would be so willing to engage in a fistfight, considering he's bound to lose, he was a hell of a lot easier than Al Mualim.

I agree, when I fistfought Rodrigo I didn't take any damage.
And does anyone here hate brutes? I've mastered the art of defeating them but countering them with your fists seems to be the only way to kill them, and whenever there's more then one, I run away as fast as possible. And one more thing, why didn't they add the Axe(the brutes use it) in the black smith?

lulz you box the pope

In any case I was not happy with the ending

In fact I was not happy with the overall storyline and felt it wasn't quite as strong as the first one in that regard

As far as the character development that people are praising in this game I find it a bit choppy and in chunks

Still a good game but in terms of storyline it just isn't as good IMO

Anyone got some advice on how to get the sweep 5 guards with a long weapon achievement?? I've searched around and the 'best' advice I read is to steal it from one of the spear dudes and immediately do it. Last time I checked they travel in packs of 4. The tactic thats gotten me closest is doing it in the alleys in Venice getting a bunch of guards around me, but the problem is I sometimes take out 5 or 6 with the spear but they don't all go down at once.

How many of you have kept playing after you've finished the main story? It just feels boring to me now. Any word on the release date for the dlc?

I've been meaning to start on that, but I haven't gotten around to it.

And yes, I totally agree with you. I also wish there was a free play mode. No more desynchronization for killing civilians.
