I would like to be able to adjust my screen size available in the next patch because it is hard to see some text at the corner of the screen of my tv.

I also wondered if the surface they fall on had something to do with it... perhaps some surfaces cause the physics to think the corpse is still 'moving' so the burn-up doesn't trigger.

Did you have this issue at Shearpoint, by any chance?

Haven't tried it myself, but I know some pressure plates need to be triggered to complete a quest or open a quest-related door. Not an excuse in itself, but perhaps it explains the root of the problem.

I can't help but think ALL followers should have the perk, since they're basically useless in dungeons - constantly getting fried by traps or hammered through walls by those stupid pendulums.

On the subject of NPC followers, they also need to fix:

# Follower inventories - specifically self-duplicating items (usually low-end Bows) which gradually over-encumber.

# Items picked up by followers having inverted ownership properties - any 'disowned' item they pick up gets marked as 'stolen', and vice-versa.

# Followers not using their optimal loadout - Aela, for example, still wears leather boots and gloves, and wields an iron bow, even when equipped with full Elven gear.

# Some way to know the skills of a follower would be nice, so we can equip them properly. In the original Fallout, they had a speech option where they simply told you what they felt they were good with.

CRC checks and disc verification have pretty much eliminated disc printing errors. The downloadable patches wouldn't install onto data from a misprinted disc. I think it's safe to say the problems are software. DIfferent users have different experiences because everyone plays the game a different way - which is kind of the point. Every open-world Bethesda game has had the same issues at launch.

Again, posting in this thread kind of defeats the purpose if you're not using 1.4 (and you really should be, it improves every aspect of the game with no negative consequences).

The game guide has a list of all followers and their skill strengths. Doesn't give their carrying capacity though. For some reason Lydia in my game can't carry ANY weight at all anymore.

On a completely unrelated note, Lydia now permanently resides in Black Soul Gem form in the same chair in my Breezehome bedroom she always insisted on occupying while my character was sleeping. That is creepy. Can we get that fixed? I don't need her watching me while I sleep.

Whenever I attempt to enter yngol barrow the screens contrast goes way up and then turns all black

No matter what I do I cannot see

sometimes smoke comes out of the corner like one of the loading screens.

That's because an item in her inventory has multiplied so many times that she's now over-encumbered. The duplicate items don't actually show up in the inventory so you can't remove them, but you can see them in the PC construction kit.

I'd never use any kind of guide for a game like Skyrim - there ought to be at least a clue in-game as to how to equip your followers. Even Fallout 1 managed that.

When I transmute iron ore, I never receive the "silver ore". It doesn't use any of the iron ore when I "successfully" transmute to silver ore, but It would be nice if that worked as advertised.

That's not a bug, that's somebody deliberately glitching the game. Whiterun doesn't actually look like that when you exit the city properly.

I am not sure if someone has requested this, but being able to buy a house in Markarth would be nice (or at least the option comes back when talking to the Steward there (he keeps saying he is the uncle of the jarl, blah, blah... or the Silver-Blood brother that always hangs out at the Underkeep complaining that the Jarl never listens to him)

Also, no repeat quests... if you have cleared it, it's done. No need to do it over again, especially if nothing is there because it has been cleared (most forsworn missions of 'Kill a Bandit Leader here' type) If I have to go pick up that Red Eagle Sword for a 5th time, I am going to scream. lol...

Getting the misc. quest log to properly update and cleaned up. I figured out the Bards College 'Get my Instrument' series of 3 quests; you need to get the flute first, then the drum and last the lute or you risk keeping the lute in your inventory forever (My husband has this) because the quest is bugged (after you tell the girl you have the lute, she doesn't take it but gives you a reward and you can't dump the lute because it is marked as a quest item)

I figured out that there is a logical order to do things after I had completely messed up the whole Markarth/The Reach quests... (I can't become Thane because the option to buy a house in Markarth is no longer there) But Riften, I am plugging along and I am quite happy with the way I am playing the city of Riften vs. the city of Markarth (side/misc quests)

Not that in a game this massive, you would need to follow a certain order because that would not be logical with such a big game. But it is worth taking a look at.

The 1.4 patch (PS3) cleaned up a lot, but there is still an ongoing list, to which I will add my biggest issues in no particular order:
1. The White Phial is still broken beyond repair. Why?
2. Yngol Barrow never recovered its Coral Claw and its puzzle door is unopenable no matter what. This is stopping Urag's book retrieval quests and the other Yngol Barrow quests.
3. I still have many (the top 7 in the list) Misc. Quests in the journal as orphans. The 1.4 patch may clean up newly instantiated scripts but didn't clean up the old orphans.
4. Grand Staff of Charming and all three Bard's Quest named instruments are stuck in inventory
5. The game freezes up much more often post-1.4 patch, although the fps performance and autosave function are fixed.
6. Dawnbreaker was disarmed by a Draugr Overloard shout and promptly disappeared forever. grrrrrr.
7. "Blood on the Ice" never let me get to the part where we find the wizard not guilty and Callixto guilty, nor could I sell him the amulet. There is some cleanup required here.
8. Vald never talks, he just attacks. Makes it difficult to return his debt from Maven. He always ends up dead :-)

All-in-all, 1.4 cleaned up a lot and made the game playable for high level characters again. Yay! Let's keep the fixes coming!

An updated list with more details, 3/1/12 - character is now Level 52 Imperial spell-sword (or Battle Mage if you prefer)

1. I now have the entire screen of MISC quests orphaned, specifically:
a. I cannot inform Leifnarr's family of his death - no quest arrow and no map anchor. Where do they live?
b. Skald of Dawnstar doesn't clear after bounty collection. No more bounties there for me :-)
c. Both Urag's CoW book retrievals (children of Sky and Shalidor's Writings) require entry to Yngol Barrow. Coral claw bug prevents this.
d. Stumbled upon dragon at Dragontooth Crater and killed him. Then got a bounty from Markarth to do so - he's not there anymore and the log entry won't clear.
I can't get anymore bounties from the steward at Markerth until it does.
e. The bandit leader at Nilheim is dead, dead, dead, but the journal entry remains
f. Both Fjola and her husband lie dead, one by my hand, one otherwise. No joy of cleared journal entry.
2. A new weirdness - the Skyforge Steel Dagger is invisible in my "Use Grindstone" menu so it cannot be improved :-(
3. Who the heck is Lymdrenn Tenvanni and why am I stuck with the journal?
4. The Companions' side quests are an infinite loop of Animal Exterminations, Heirloom Retrievals and Hostage Rescues. When will Vilkas and Farkas ask me to cure them?
5. No more work being offered from the Jarls of The Reach (see above) The Rift (Nilheim bug) and Eastmarch. Did all their troubles go away? :-)
6. Got Frost, rode Frost, had Letresh follow me to Whiterun (?) Now Frost has gone missing. Any ideas where Letresh made off with him?

Let's have a great cleanup party when the 1.5 patch is issued!!

Oh that svcks... I was going to marry that guy! :/

4. Grand Staff of Charming and all three Bard's Quest named instruments are stuck in inventory

There is an order for the Instruments quests; Flute, Drum, Lute (Lute is last; at least for me anyways)

5. The game freezes up much more often post-1.4 patch, although the fps performance and autosave function are fixed.

Yup... happened last night.

6. Dawnbreaker was disarmed by a Draugr Overloard shout and promptly disappeared forever. grrrrrr.

My dawnstar is stuck in the weapon rack and I can't get it out. Even after I restarted.

Some bug's i've encountered that really bug me...

1# - I bought a (blonde?) horse at katla's farm near sollitude. When my horse died, i wanted to buy the other horse (the same color) but i can't. The horse stands in the stable and i can ride it (rather then steal it) when i'ts not mine, but when i want to buy the horse i don't get it. Everything goes as it should: i pay 1000 then the farmer says: 'It's the one with the saddle', but when i come outside the horse still hasn't got a saddle. I can ride it (just as i could before i paid 1000) but when i get off it walks back to his 'owner' just like a horse you've stolen.

I think it's a pitty because this is the horse i like the most and i'm playing the ps3 version so i can't just bring back a dead horse or something.

2# - When i did the quest: 'blessings of nature' i got to the point where i could chose if i would take a sappling or take sap (this only happened the second time, the first time this maurice guy didn't say anything, but i re-load the game). It was a really hard choice because i liked to see the tree healthy again, but i decided to take back the sappling because i wanted to do the right thing. When i finished te quest i had this bug where the old tree is still standing there and the sappling grow inside it. I searched on the internet and a lot of people are having this problem.
Now i wished i could reset the quest or something and do it over so that i can take back the sap instead of the stupid sappling, but i already saved and couln'dt go back.. :(

Well here are some other things (that aren't really bugs) i would like to see:

1# A Purchased dog should be able to remain in purchased house for any amount of time.

#2 - Purchased dog should not bark unless being interacted with. They should growl when they detect danger.

#4 - Purchased horses should be able to be kept in one spot.

5# - I think the whole horse- riding and owning thing isn't as great as it should. (maybe it's because i've played red dead redemption a lot in wich the horse riding is verry well made). After all this is a old world where the only transport is a horse (soon hopefully also a dragon if the new things the Skyrim-crew made in their week off will be availble to download) so i think it's only natural that it is a nice experience riding it. I still like riding with my horse better than just walking but i wished there would be more horse breeds (colors but also diffrent body's!) and the riding would be improved. For example i cant really jump over thing before bumping into it and i can't jump when i'm at the highest speed.
6# - I would like my character to be able to jumpt too when it's running.. -_-'
7# - As well as the horse breeds i would like to have more 'dog-options'. For example there is only one breed of dog (they all look the same) and i don't really have the feeling that i own the dog if i can't tell him to go back home (MY OWN home) and wait there (infinitely). I think there would be a lot of people that are glad to have the whole horse and dog improvement because there are many animal lovers among us, and i really think that especially in this game nature and animals have an important role in the whole 'non-modern age' experience. (BTW: i don't mean: put a golden retriever in the game.. but just some other colors and different physiques).
8# - MAKE THE NEW STUFF THE SKYRIM CREW MADE AVAILBLE FOR DOWNLOAD (i don't mind paying for it, if could mount a dragon :) !!!!!!!!!

Yes she should be in her OWN room (you know the smallest one :) ) I'm really anoyed by lydia i would like her to just go back to dragonsreach if i want to (and be able to come back when i need her). I mean why does she have to be in MY HOME? all the other followers stay at a random place. I am really considering getting her killed just to be free in my own home.. HAHA!

Oh and one more thing: I think it really svcks that ps3 gamers have so much less options than people which have the PC-version. I am really jealous that the PC-gamers can create their own towns and stuff!!. I know it′s nearly impossible to create this for the ps3 but i wished we could only download different selfmade mods (from PC-gamers obviously). Still i'm not considdering playing the PC-version, i just dont like it, i like my controler :)

Also i wished i could type words in the game. Not because i want to use cheats, but only because all the bugs i hate can be solved in the PC-version!

I'm still getting lag, just not as bad so far (I started a new game). However since patch 1.4 I've been getting frequent lock ups still (SEVEN as of this writing, yes I'm counting). Yes, I've re-installed the game and repaired stuff. No, I'm not going to buy a new faster SSD. My system is a 2007 fat I think. No, no other games besides Bethesda games (Oblivion, Fallout 3 and now Skyrim) have ever locked up my system completely. I've also never even bothered with the latest Fallout: New Vegas as I've heard it's lag and lock-ups are worse than the prequel) If it's not apparent I hate having to hard-boot out of my PS3, and it;s the reason I never finished Oblivion or Fallout 3. Anyways here, I'll just list stuff I've noticed so far:

1.5 Bugfix Request List (supplement)

1) Lock-Ups
2) Lag
3) More quest fixes
4) Hotkey bugs/glitches

This is important- Fix the way when you press a hotkeyed spell your hands will go bare sometimes but fingers will still move around like you have the spell equipped and you can do the "casting" animation yet no spell effects happen or sounds or damage. No matter how many times you press the hotkeys again the spell fingers will stay bare. It's only when I sheathe with "square" and then unsheathe, that the spell will finally show up on my hand(s). This has happened many many many times on multiple characters since I first started playing this game, and this along with how long it takes for hotkeys to equip your hands when they DO work both need some serious looking into. Hotkeys svck in Skyrim, why did you guys try to change a gameplay mechanic that already works so well. Or at least better than this. Almost ALL games have more than TWO HOTKEYS lol.... I would love at least 4 more hotkeys, and I bet it would be hard to find many people who didn't agree with that.

5) Texture Loading

About texture loading- I've come to the conclusion, or you could say estimation, that about 5% of all the textures in the game won't always load up all the way, no matter how long you play the current session. What's weird is if you restart the game, it seems to be a different 5% of the textures that won't fully load in, and it's always a random few textures (like 5-10) but sometimes the textures that don't load all the way can really make things look like blurry crap.

6) Sky not loading from save correctly

About that- Almost all moons/stars/clouds/weather/auroras/color/position of celestial objects won't "SAVE" in my game. Like if I have a save that has me in a sunset with a clear sky, when I load up that save, there's now 2 moons in sky and the sunset colors are all blue. Almost all my saves do this, with moons shifting around or it not being raining anymore like it is showing in the save file picture etc. What I feel is going on is if you load a save sometimes, it will load it up just like you had it with the camera looking at you in third person and everything, BUT, the sky however will be the way it was just before when you loaded the save. Does that make sense? Anyone else notice your saves not loading up the sky the way it is in the save picture? No, I'm not imaging this. I just can't figure out what's happening yet as far as the sky and what saves and what doesn't.

7) Un-killable hawks

This has happened twice now. A hawk won't die no matter how many arrows I stick in him. I can shoot 50 arrows in him so you can barely see him and just see an arrow pincushion floating around in the sky.

Overall I'm impressed with this patch, but I feel we need AT LEAST two more and some things are really messed up still that NEED to be fixed that have to do with either gameplay mechanics and main quests and guilds.

Oh, and for the love of Talos go to the bug/glitch pages/discussions on UESP AND the Skyrim wiki and fix a few of the hundreds of confirmed bugs that are listed all nice and neat for you there. Lots more to do with this game. It wasn't ready when it dropped, now it's up to you to fix this one... for once. Please...

Another thing I will mention, is in the caves under Helgen just after the bear I think. There is a skylight hole that with some careful jumping, can be exited and you will be outside the interior cell looking at a fog ocean void. If you jump off the edges and fall you will usually end up back at the beginning of the level before the cave-in so you would be stuck and have to load a previous save. Not that big of a deal because once you get outside of an interior cell, common sense says you should probably load a previous save anyways.

And another thing I'll bring up, is the fact that the golden claw quest isn't fully coded for all possible outcomes. And don't tell me you get a quest update and that I'm doing it wrong...

If you don't go to Whiterun, but talk to the Riverwood Trader guy about his missing claw, he says he will give you a reward for it right? So, it's not hard to imagine some players getting the claw, not caring about the rest of Bleak Falls, then returning the claw to Riverwood.

Well, the problem is the claw won't show up in the barter menu with him, even though it shows up in your inventory. There are no options in his dialog menu about the claw.

I can think of a few ways to fix this branch- One would be to have a "door" shut BEHIND the player as soon as he picks up the claw in Bleak Falls, forcing him to either finish the dungeon, or after opening the "claw" door, the hidden door that shut BEHIND the player would open back up, so you can then go and get your reward for the claw without leaving "possible outcome" branches unfinished in one of the first quests in the game. By then having the "claw door remain open always like I think it already does after opening it). Or you could've had the Riverwood Trader guy had one extra dialog that somehow gives an explanation of why you can't get your reward or even have the claw show up in the barter menu with him until completing Bleak Falls.

This isn't really a big deal at all, it's just that Bethesda chose to have one of the first quests and part of the main quest have more than one quest leading into the same place involving the same object. They almost finished all possible outcomes, but not the one I mentioned.
