Unofficial 1.5 Bugfix Request List

Post » Tue May 22, 2012 6:05 pm

Here's a spot to list out stuff that is still broken post 1.4.

I'll start with a few I've seen so far:

1. Thieves Guild armor problems - there needs to be some way implemented for people to get around this. It should even be doable for those who already ran into the problem and saved afterwards by just allowing us to trade with Tonilia even if we haven't swapped armor with her and she should have the regular Thieves Guild armor as a purchaseable item.

2. The first autosave that's created when you start a new game should take up a totally brand new save slot. If it needs to overwrite an existing slot then players should be given the option of choosing which slot to overwrite. Loads of people have lost major gameplay time due to this little surprise.

I am happy with the stuff 1.4 fixed. Really happy actually, it resurrected two characters I thought were basically dead forever. Just asking for stuff that we'd like to see fixed in the next patch whenever it happens to come out. Just because the lag is resolved doesn't automatically mean there's no other gamebreaking glitches anywhere in the game.

I'm pretty sure both issues he brought up weren't addressed with 1.4 since they weren't on the fix list.
I kinda wish the people who keep telling others to shut up and play the game would shut up and play the game.

3. Asking a follower to execute a "Take All" should not affect the "stolen" tags of items. If the item is red in the chest, it should keep its stolen tag. If it's white and gives you the option to "Take" it, then it should definitely NOT be considered stealing just because you have your follower do it.

I actually have never used followers for anything in this game except when I was forced to. That's good to know, thanks.

Yeah, I get the impression I'm one of the few that this bug really "bugs", but I created a pretty detailed thread in case some newbie pops in and actually knows how to search the forum (yeah...like THAT would ever happen).

The 1.4 definitely isn't the last of the vital fixes. They are still looking into some of the remaining vital fixes yet, so there will be a 1.5. Should a person start playing now and just patch as they go at this point? I dunno. If it fixes the lag/crashes, great, but there are still a few vital fixes yet - so I really feel I can't start yet do to this fact. I'm going to try and make sure my game doesn't get halted by something game-breaking by jumping in before they're done.

I don't regret buying it. I've got around 250 hours in and I've enjoyed the hell out of it.
It'll only get better now that this patch is out.

Is it perfect?? Oh hell no. But it's playable and worth the money, in my opinion.
I wouldn't advise anyone to NOT buy the game just because of the glitches.
I've yet to play a game without weird crap like this. Maybe I'm the jinx.

My main issue wasn't the lag/freezing, it was the quest stopping bugs (main and guild, etc), and the werewolf camera that zoomed in way too close to my character obstructing view (and carries on into normal form...) that ruined it for me. So, I'm hoping the final patch for the vital fixes nails as many of these as it can...Without seeing the official patch notes for the 1.5 and or a heads up on when they will finish with the actual fixes all I can do is play it by ear.

My suggestions:

#1 - Some items still are not showing up on mannequin (Ancient Nord Helm - all other Ancient Nord items equipped)

#2 - Purchased dog should be able to remain in purchased house for any amount of time.

#3 - Purchased dog should not bark unless being interacted with. They should growl when they detect danger.

#4 - Purchased horses should be able to be kept in one spot.

FIx the winterhold misc quest from the librarian in the Arcaneum where he asks you to get the "Chimarvandium". If you recover the book by looting the chest in the cave, before you get the quest. Than you can't give the book to the Liberian. You can't drop a quest item, or sell it and buy it back to retrigger finding the book. You can't use the other books with the same name to close the quest. Give us an in game way to trigger this. Ps3 can't access any console commands to try and remedy this.

Would be nice for the next version to clean up the 3 Misc Bards College Quests that leave the Flute, Drum and Lute in your Items

The Librarian glitch happens with the Wolf Queen v6 book quest too. If it's found before you meet him he will not acknowledge it and you're stuck with it in inventory.

Remove the 'undroppable' effect from quest items after said quest is completed. Correctly count misc quests as completed ( escort telrav to camp, did it killed everybody and him but its still in active misc quests)

Correctly add 1000 septims to every vendor with the investor perk (some stores still have like 50 gold)

Remove iron bow from followers, I use arenea lenith and its annoying that she always has an ugly iron bow floating on her back even though she never uses it. If I want her to use an iron bow I will give her one.

Weapon Rack in the in house Solitude is still buggy. You can now put a weapon on the leftmost and the rightmost slots, but the weapon is then stuck there forever and you can not retrieve them. Instead you are able to put more weapons onto those slots, which are then offcourse also stuck.

Talos damn you, Bethesda:

- Fix constant freezes post 1.4;
- fix followers/dead thralls disappearing in dungeons if hit by those damn Pendulums;
- fix followers/dead thralls not following you when you enter or exit a place (house, dungeon, whatever);
- fix enemies falling through the floor if hit by a vertical hit, specially if they're sleeping on beds;
- fix follower AI as regards to follow you and be standing on your way, specially in front of doorways (that really get in my nerves);
- fix bard named instruments remaining in your inventory
- all the other usual Krap...

The only bug in my game that is still around that bothers me is that whenever I get caught by a gaurd and choose take me to jail, the game freezes. One of the main goals to keep playing the game was to get the platinum trophy, and if ya can't go to jail then it's kinda hard to get the trophy for breaking out xD

Minor bug request - Please fix the floating weapons/objects problem with all enemy AI.

Since the patch, any AI character I kill leaves their kit floating mid-air when they fall to the ground (perhaps this has always been present but it's only affected me now).

Yes, this really svcks. Not just the potions either. Its anything that fortifies pickpocketing. The chance % always goes down instead of up.
