Unofficial 1.5 Bugfix Request List

I'd like further optimization for the PS3 version to attain smoother performance closer to the ideal 30 fps. There are plenty of quest and scripting bugs, of course, but I'd still like the performance to be better... and do something about that aggressive FXAA filter.

Weapon Rack in the in house Solitude is still buggy. You can now put a weapon on the leftmost and the rightmost slots, but the weapon is then stuck there forever and you can not retrieve them. Instead you are able to put more weapons onto those slots, which are then offcourse also stuck.

Weird...I'm not getting this problem at all. My weapon racks in Solitude are working. Very strange indeed.

I don't regret buying it. I've got around 250 hours in and I've enjoyed the hell out of it.
It'll only get better now that this patch is out.

Is it perfect?? Oh hell no. But it's playable and worth the money, in my opinion.
I wouldn't advise anyone to NOT buy the game just because of the glitches.
I've yet to play a game without weird crap like this. Maybe I'm the jinx.

You are the jinx if you think many games at all come out this messed up and buggy.In fact other than other Besthesda titles like fallout series tell me 5 other games for ps3 that have locked up,.crashed,lagged,and blown up ps3's like this one has.I wouldn't recommend anyone buying the ps3 version I can tell you that cannot keep rewarding companies with our buisness when they pull stuff like this.

And I hope 1.4 does fix the issues that should never been in release to begin with but I am not gonna praise them for fixing a game that never should have been sold to us in the state it was to begin with.I haven't bothered to patch mine yet I am sure I will but atm I am having too much fun playing Kingdoms of Amalur to make it my main focus atm but it is nice to see they have atleast fixed some of it.

Yes, this really svcks. Not just the potions either. Its anything that fortifies pickpocketing. The chance % always goes down instead of up.

Does it actually seem to work better with the potion? Maybe the originally meant for the % to be your chance of getting caught and designed the potion around that and then changed it to your % of success but didn't update the potion.

I'm glad you've never had problems with other games that made them nearly unplayable. I wish the rest of us were just as lucky.

My pickpocket skill is at 100. If I try to pickpocket someones armor (I have all the perks) my % to steal is only 18%. Everything else in their inventory is 90% chance to steal. If I wear any necklaces, rings, potions, bracers. etc. to fortify pickpocket, my chances get even smaller. Pretty much made getting all those perks a waste. I can't even pickpocket armor that isn't equipped on an NPC.

This was like this before the patch though so it has nothing to do with that. Just something that really needs to be fixed.

Talos damn you, Bethesda:

- Fix constant freezes post 1.4;
- fix followers/dead thralls disappearing in dungeons if hit by those damn Pendulums;
- fix followers/dead thralls not following you when you enter or exit a place (house, dungeon, whatever);
- fix enemies falling through the floor if hit by a vertical hit, specially if they're sleeping on beds;
- fix follower AI as regards to follow you and be standing on your way, specially in front of doorways (that really get in my nerves);
- fix bard named instruments remaining in your inventory
- all the other usual Krap...

If you stare your AI follower in the eyes they will move out of your way.

Nah your not, any video game ever made is imperfect. Wanna know why? Because it is made by humans, and humans by nature are not perfect.

We can get them to be REALLY REALLY good, but never perfect.

Fix pixalating shadows and remove FXAA.

I don't really care about the anti-aliasing thing as it hasn't bothered me all that much but I would love to see them get the shadows to either look better or just remove them altogether. I didn't notice how bad they were at first, but as soon as somebody pointed it out to me they've been pretty annoying.

Please fix :
-Missing dialogue options after completing the 'Glory of the Dead' quest.
-Gold coins disappearance from the miscellaneous section of the inventory, which prevents one from buying anything. Both in stores and in dialogue.

Would like to see the Solitude home weapon rack bug fixed, and the only things I've noticed so far are tree branches "bouncing" now, like there's someone furiously shaking the tree, especially outside my house in Markarth, and had a weird bug when I came upon a caravan that had been wiped out in a mountain pass, one of the bodies flew up in the air so far I couldn't see it, then after a few seconds it came back down but I couldn't locate it once it hit even though it was only a few feet away from where i was standing.

Also having issues with dragons, at the word wall locations, basically just sitting there while I kill them. One even just fell off the cliff it was sleeping on when it spotted me, hit the ground like it been shot out the air, then wandered around in circles like it was drunk while I shot it with arrows.

Oh, and the shadows still look like huge pixelations, just terrible. I also have 100 pickpocketing, and any armor or potions that improve pickpocketing bring my chances down drastically. Not seeing any fix either for the magical resistances. I have a ring and amulet with +50 magical resistance combined, plus armor with magic resist enchants, and still getting my health one shotted by some necromancers.

Is there any chance that the 2 or 3 second delay when switching hot-keyed weapons is ever going to get sorted out? I remember people complaining about this shortly after the release, but no-one seems to have mentioned it in a while desite the fact that it's still in the game and clearly isn't meant to be that way. I'm not talking about the animation itself, I'm talking about the time the character will jsut stand there motionless before the animation even starts.

Also, though not a bug as such, it would be nice if torches could work the same as in Oblivion, in that when you unequip them whatever was in your hand before is re-equipped. I always had a hotkey for torches in Oblivion, in Oblivion I have to use two (and there ARE only two now) if I want to do it - 1 to unequip the torch and the second to re-equip a shield.

In "Waking Nightmare", Erandur does not appear in the temple to open the secret wall/

I think this is actually a sort of global NPC problem where they're having you follow them and if they go inside a building before you do they sometimes just teleport to their final destination inside the building which can leave the player stuck at times. I've seen people mention this in reference to Erandur and a couple others.

FIx the winterhold misc quest from the librarian in the Arcaneum where he asks you to get the "Chimarvandium". If you recover the book by looting the chest in the cave, before you get the quest. Than you can't give the book to the Liberian. You can't drop a quest item, or sell it and buy it back to retrigger finding the book. You can't use the other books with the same name to close the quest. Give us an in game way to trigger this. Ps3 can't access any console commands to try and remedy this.

I have had this exact same issue with the book War of the First Council. IT svckS!!! They definately need to fix this. I always clear any and all caves/dungeons when I am out exploring just cause I never know when I will have a quest there and just wanna fast travel. Yeah, I actually made a post about this earlier called "College of Winterhold quest bug?" check it out, see if anyone has any updates or anything about this.

I haven't played much post 1.4 yet, but I've noticed 2 things right away on the ps3. First, a lot of quest items are still stuck in your inventory after quest is completed. This wouldn't bother me too much, but with the patch I finally could finish the "Fix the White Phial" quest (thanx for that) only to find out that my briar hearts, of which I had 3 in inventory, are still listed as quest items and I can't store them or use them in potions. Don't know if it's the same with powdered mammoth tusks, as I don't have any at the moment. Any new briar hearts I get are also stuck in inventory. This is kind of a pain because they have the paralyze effect on them, which I use in potions.
The second thing I've noticed is that at random times, when going from one area to another, it doesn't load. My system just sits there with a blank screen or the load screen and nothing else happens. Before, when this happened, my whole system would freeze, but now at least I can still press the ps button and get the exit game menu. I have auto-saves turned off so loads will be faster, so auto-save isn't the problem.
Also, though this has already been mentioned, the College of Magic librarian book quests don't work if you already have the specific book needed in your inventory before you get the quest. My solution was to restart the character and just never pick up the books I find in a chest rather than on a bookshelf or table.

I ran into 2 bugs post 1.4 that are fairly old if not original bugs-judging from what ive read online I'd say they've been around since the release of Skyrim:

-Sriking The Heart Quest-Have to kill a Silver Hand LT in Valtheim Towers-if already cleared then no LT even though marker shows him

-Numbers Job-Haelgas Bunkhouse (Nords called them bunkhouses? Huh, who knew lol)-the ledger is in one room and the marker points to a box so you have to drop it.

Also some quest items I couldn't drop even after completing their quests-giants toes-i had 35 of them!!! Lol and briar hearts-25-oh and Galluses Journal

Bounty quests turned in to Skald in Dawnstar still don't disappear from the quest log. And innkeepers in that Hold won't give me any more bounty letters.
Otherwise, really great job with 1.4!
