My last post:

I don't want to be "that guy who beats a dead horse", but...

please forgive me if I'm late to the party, as I can't really read through 5 threads and 7 pages just to convey an information

I took a look at the 1.5.26 behavior files, and I found interesting stuffs:

- Behavior entries for Crossbows. I can confirm that these entries are entirely new, and -animation wise - they seem to work the way standard bows do
- Behavior entries for the first DLC.Their path explicitly states "DLC01", and one of them is named "SnowElfPrinceAscensionBurning". This heavily implies that the first DLC is about the Snow Elves, and most importantly we will do something about their fate. I assume that we will help the rightful prince of the Snow Elves ascend to heaven (or to his Throne)

EDIT:
There are also behavior entries for Chair_SnowElfPrinceDialogueA to D. This heavily implies that we will meet the rightful prince of the Snow Elves. Perhaps some Snow Elves managed to escape from Dwemer enslavement? Or some of them went into hiding instead of asking for help from the Dwemer?

How sure are we that the DLC exclusivity is timed? What was the source of that post in the previous thread?

I wouldn't expect it to be anything more than timed, but I'm just curious.

Was that added in 1.5? If so, then that is major news.

I'm sorry, but I have a hard time detecting whether a post is a sarcasm or not (I'm more the straight guy type). Is yours one? And no, this is not a sarcasm. I'm asking because you said it's a "major news" with such a plain tone

No sarcasm at all. If that info was present in the release version, then one could dismiss it as obsolete, forgotten data. But if it was added in 1.5, then there is a very good chance that they are indicators of future content.

Ah, sorry then.

I noticed it while comparing a 1.4.27 data with 1.5.26 data. They added precisely 100 slots of new animation data. I don't think the new content takes all 100 slots, but it sure is a nice direction

So why didn't anyone notice the Snow Elf thing before? Call me crazy but while I know little of how this stuff works, I would have thought someone would have noticed like 5 seconds after the patch. Is they anything else?

Most likely because it's not obvious. I looked into the Behavior entries, a.k.a. the stuff that controls animation. Not many people would look into these. Also, since these are basically only "you can do this" entries, not "you have to do this", it's not really obvious. They have prepared a slot so crossbow animations can be played correctly, but without any triggers to cause them to play, there is no harm in putting it there

Yes i know its DLC and apparently "meaty" but snow elves, agghhh! Itsounds boring, very boring but i guess we all have a perfect dlc idea.
Mine is thata group of tribal argonians using poisined spears and throwing knives start a new rebellion (yes again), scrap that, an incursionist force. You can either join them or fight them! They wear cool argonian clothes and armour. At the end of it you learn that they were only a scouting force, then another one comes up and much, much more. In the end (if you side with them) they control the rift, falkreath and mortal with the main war being in the marsh outside windhelm. Now you may be thinking how they got through cyrodil and morrowind undetected but then dawn star and the windhelm port gets assaulted, YES the argonians are coming through the water. This is the final battle and will alter the game world durasticly.
If you go against them they will fail in taking riften and falkreath then comes the final battle and they will become a basic bandit force.
P.S. being an argonian gives you perks if you join them i.e. no quest to prove strength, everyone will agree you should become leader and you start of better with spears and throwable weapons.

Adding to this, as it didn't warrant a new thread.

Beth just posted this on FB with the comment "tomorrow" - wonder what's happening? Woot!

:o

Begin speculation mode!

Ermmm... it's a bare-chested, ragged looking Nord, with a severe case of dandruff. Maybe Dawnguard is the name of a new shampoo? :P

My guess is that this is either RAGE DLC, or Fallout 4 related, he doesn't look too much like a Nord to me.

Really? I'd LOVE it to be a Fallout announce, but I highly doubt it. They've said there's DLC info "coming soon" a few days ago, so this would make sense.

Plus, I think FO would be a mre obvious teaser than that photo, personally.

I do not mean to dim your spirits, but...

1. The mere mention of the fate of Snow Elves had made lore-gurus go fangasmic. Snow Elves have been mentioned throughout the series, yet no definitive look of them have ever been seen, and their known offspring are blind goblins whose name rhymes with "farmer".

Snow Elves, lore-wise, is VERY interesting. Not as interesting as the Dwemer's fate, but still interesting. I DO hope, that they actually add a new race, instead of using the already-there Farm- I mean, Falmer

2. You need to realize that anything that may interrupt the main questline and Civil War cannot be realized in Skyrim. It has to be in another place like Shivering Isles was

May be just me I am sure but that just doesn't scream "Skyrim" to me. Who knows?

EDIT: May I ask where you saw this? I looked on both TES and Bethesda's FB account and nothing there that you posted.

EDIT 2: Nothing on Beth Blog...
