Hasn't Retro already built one?

I'm on for a bit if you want me to help with the test.

I won't be on until this evening, and I'm not sure about the measurements you guys wanted either. I'll probably get to work on individual buildings once we've established the style properly, as I'm afraid of messing up someone else's construction in a collaborative effort. I've collected some snow though, it should be in the chest in the field.

You're lucky I gave up then, I was going to build even closer to you.
Well considering I'm not doing much around the tower now I wouldn't mind some neighbours there to keep the crops growing :)

Oh and another thing, where did 3/4 of my sheep go! I had about 10 and when I came back there were only like 3 :stare:

We are moving Retro's to the isle. The scale is properly set to fit it. At some point, we will likely make another in order to build a replica, as Retro's is about half the scale and was only able to fit 4 of the 6 sectors. I've figured out an awesome way to duplicate land masses, so as soon as I finish this one, if someone else would like me to make another TES place, find the location and I'll start building. Nothing continent huge though.

I overlooked the fact that you can't rotate in degrees that aren't divisible by 90, so the Isle that I've made is completely incorrect. Not a huge deal, but you'll need to rethink your layout for it. I can always cut away land to fit it correctly.

New snapshot!
http://www.mojang.com/2012/04/minecraft-snapshot-12w17a/
  • Added editable books
  • Wooden half slabs in four colors (and they act as wood instead of stone)
  • Bug fixing and tweaks, notably about entity collisions, “picking blocks” (creative mode), and chat
  • Some other, censored stuff
Writing in books? About time.

Drat. I guess there's no more wood-lava co-mingling. I'll have to replace the dance floor!

Seriously, editable books is so cool. I hope we can write books Anon, that way it'd make great for RPing in an old Stronghold.

The editable ones can be worked on in multiple sessions, and it appears to be able to be written in by multiple players as well, since the text is locked when the book is actually signed. You also specify the signing name, so Anon/Unknown is an option.

someone should write the history of the server.
Also, does that mean bookshelves will actually be more than cosmetic now?!

So far, no. We now need leather to make the plain books as well, which also makes the bookshelves more expensive without a large stockade.

I think tank was going to start a wiki to store the history.

No! This shield for the weak liars doesn't exist in my lands! You will answer my questions boy, answer them well!!

Appears some sort of glitch/corruption in world gen caused the lines, but the normal testificates have vanished somehow maybe it's related.

Mirglof is the historian his job can be to maintain the records within the game.

We could all write a book about our time/history on the server, a sort of autobiography, sign them and leave them in a chest together and update them everytime we feel like adding new stories/events.

Build anywhere you want, if you build beside someone make sure to leave a good space between your buildings - like 3 spaces or more.
You're free to visit any homes that allow you entry, you can look around the homes freely unless the owner asks yo to leave; failing to leave might be considered greifing/trolling or something.
Don't vandalise other peoples property.
Use common sense and you're pretty much ready to go.
