but wouldn't a sword have very short range on horse
Mounted combat you say? Oh, what is that? The sound of the Dragonborn smiting enemies from the back of a really, really pissed off Horker from my wild beast riding mod? YOU BET! Haters gonna hate. U mad, bandits?
hmm, i wonder if this would work with a dragon riding mod?

Like your normal desktop cursor? I had that but it was caused by the Steam overlay, and has happened every since release, and does for several games for me.

The ingame mouse was there just fine.

Oh my god that is epic!

Thought so, Steam Overlay is odd. THanks!

Question, I won't be able to try this out for awhile. Does mounted combat mean NPC's can fight from horseback also?

Now keep in mind that this is a beta. I have a feeling that they tried and had trouble and figured 'lets get them melee mounted combat, instead of holding it ALL off just for magic'.

They wouldn't just not have magic. It's coming. Either in the full release of 1.6, or a future patch.

You can have a weapon in each hand while riding? Does that look odd at all lol.

Just tested this and ran through some mages and giants that were having a battle. I ended up running around shooting arrows at the giants... haha, that was fun.

Don't worry. They will do a release that will upgrade magic.

Don't quote me on this but I think I remember someone saying that mages will be happy, I think when refering to the dlc release.

I don't see why magic would cause issues in the first place. If archery is possible, so is a fireball.

Sure, some could say I have no right to be upset because it's free, but if the government started giving out cheques for a 100 dollars US or CAD, but said "Hispanics, natives,Africans and Jews don't get anything sorry" there would be a huge outrage. Why? Not because they want $100, but they have been left out and now feel jealous while everyone else is having a grand ol' time. Same applies for Skyrim.

So the actual mounted combat mechanic works flawlessly I love how my character auto targets the enemy with the bow works very good. But I did notice a lot of frame rate problems, not sure what part of the beta caused it but it is a noticeable framerate loss and dips while fighting an enemy up close.

Oh hey look, absolutely useless updates that have no impact on gameplay because horses are horrendous.

Such a wonderful update! Thank you.

I have a question...ummm, maybe I'm a little crazy here, but what are the exact controls? Or maybe it's not working right for me...
When I'm on the horse, I take the sword out and when I attack the horse rears. I also swing the sword, but the horse stops and rears. I also hit myself lol, and most of the times the sword just no-clips through the enemy.
I cannot swing the sword and keep the horse going forward at the same time. Yes I do hold the forward button. Tried with controller and keyboard.

You're getting exactly the same thing everyone else is getting. The difference is that you don't want it and/or won't use it. Completely different scenario from the example you gave here.

Wrong, its only useless to you because you dont use horses. By this thread alone, looks like many Skyrim players are going to enjoy this feature. Sorry for ya.

Lets ask for something we have been asking for a long time
Spears! spears! Spears! Spears! :3
werewolf perk tree!!!! BLAHRG

But i am looking forward for this, console player here i guess we just have to wait 2-4 weeks? Also i wonder if this update will have some hints about the DLC like 1.5...

Hopefully it would just be an Lycanthrope perk tree, and they would add Werebears and maybe Werelions into the Mix? I so wanted a Nord Two hander, with Warhmmers to be a werebear.

They were a pain before but now I think I'll give em a second chance  The archery alone looks fantastic!! Can't wait for console to get it

Not really. I'm a mage, therefore I cannot benefit from this.
