Walking Dead series, continued

Oh wow. Carl seems to be a badass in the comics.
Spoiler
Can you think of a similar reason Sophia may have been dropped? Also, you mean Tyreese's daughter and his daughter's boyfriend, right? The way you wrote that...:P

Some things that convey well in a book don't always convey well with film. That may be the reason. Plus I think it's good that the series doesnt follow the comics to a tee, it keeps EVERYONE on their toes.

Yeah thats what I mean :)
Spoiler

From the comics though Carl is a badass he kills Shane for threatening his dad and thinks he's better than Rick at times.
I can't think why they dropped her, she seems like an important character for Carl in the comics as he is basically her protector.
She may have been dropped because of fan pressure since she was a dead weight in the TV series.

And it makes me getting the books all the more worth while :)

Spoiler
The people knew Sophia was in there yet led them on this whole time.

Actually no.

Spoiler
Otis was responsible for putting the walkers in the barn. Nobody else. Hershel tells Rick this at one point. Otis was killed before they ever mentioned Sophia. It was explained in the 'Talking Dead' show which airs right after.

I've recently discovered the magic of Netflix, and I'm on episode four.

Really enjoying it, but I've been told season two is even better.

Ehhhhhhhhh. It has it's ups and downs. Season two has a story arch that drags on and on for a good while.

Baby mama drama/love triangle crap REALLY got on my nerves. I enjoy the survivalist aspect of the series, but I don't think things would be that much of a soap opera IRL.

Wholeheartedly agree

The blonde chick, I forget her name, is really annoying as well, I would love if she was killed,
Spoiler
I hope they don't follow the comics here and instead of making her the sharpshooter they kill her instead

Andrea is her name. I rather she stayed, apart from the falling over and failing to kill the zombie at the start, shes been alright. Its Dale thats annoying me with his "I'm the daddy I know whats best for you" act,
Spoiler
Imagine Andrea shot him :shifty:

Just watched the mid-season finale, AWESOME, I liked it so much it can stay on my Sky+ hard drive until February.
Spoiler
They were all super psycht to kill all the Hershels family (Walkers) in the barn as they were in no way connect to them but when they were faced with killing one of their own group, well Shane failed even when he was right , Rick's reaction/response was great since he was the only one with the balls to deal with her, how would this impact him, knowing he failed Sophia, I'd like to see this.

Ohh when I seen that, I swear if I wasn't meant to act mature I would have been rolling around shouting profanities at the TV. No but I am mature so I walked away for some chocolate while I hibernate.

I never found any of the other episodes bad, I found them somewhat real in showing life in a zombie apoc.. rather than the whole thing being 'DIE Z0mb13zZZ" for 5/6 episodes.

Oh no, I'm all for survivalism, but the synopsis of most of the episodes up towards the near end was each episode going 'couldnt find her gais' or it was soap opera drama. Unless girls really are dumb enough to suddenly sleep with someone the moment they assume their husband is lost, then I honestly doubt it'd be ANYTHING like that. :shakehead:

Spoiler
I really don't do well with overly emotionally charged negative drama in tv shows. It's SO obnoxious. I mean heck, Ricks wife had more faith in Sophia being alive than she did Rick in the first episode of the series.

I don't Lori was every supposed to portrya the faithful loving wife, assuming the zombies had taken over the city, which they had, I would have assumed Rick was dead from that and then
Spoiler
the Army dropped napalm over the city
, which Lori and Shane witnessed. What were the odds of an unconscious guy could just walk out of a city in those conditions. I figured her jumping into Shane's pants or vice versa was just her way to get over it, like Rebound six, something that is pretty common among people who fall out and have a support shoulder to cry on.
I will say that the whole searching for Sophia was getting boring, unless Daryl was on the screen.

Comparison with the comic does anyone else think http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Morgan_Jones_%28TV_Series%29 might be the TV version of http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Tyreese? They seem pretty similar.

Anyone else pissed at Lori and Rick for trying to give a pro-life message during A [censored] ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. That really made me mad.

From an inworld view, I couldnt care less what they decided with each other. But from a writing POV, bringing a kid into the story would just ADD to the estrogen fueled drama that's already present. At this point I basically enjoy the zombies on screen because it reminds me I'm watching a Z-Day survival series, not a soap opera.

I think you should keep your political opinions to yourself before you start a flame war here.
We want to talk about the Walking Dead and we won't be able to do that if the topic gets locked.

EDIT: What I typed seemed a bit harsh after I read it... Not intended to :flamethrower:

Yeah, that's my problem. I'm betting the babies going to end up looking like Shane. Then the drama's really going to start.... (Haven't read the comic so...please don't spoil me if I'm wrong)

A pregnancy at this point adds its own layer of survivalism to the story, it doesn't need the extra drama of "who's the daddy" or "should I keep it?" which is why it currently feels so contrived.

After reading that bio, it sounds like there would be a pretty huge uproar later down the line. If they made his daughter and her boyfriend older, maybe not, but them both being 16 and all of that happening would be something new for cable TV.
