I still think I will hate her.

To be honest, I'm starting to dislike every character on the show except for Daryl and the grumpy vet guy who owns the farm. And liking the vet is largely just because I love the actor who plays him (loved him on CSI as well as many other things). He's a great chr. actor & I love to watch him. Altho, the daughter of the vet guy has so far been decent. (sorry, I'm terrible with names :P )

I wish they'd get back on the road again. Hoping it'll get better then, move on to new subplots etc. I'm still going to watch the rest of this season and hope for the best.

Also...I was amusingly disappointed that:

Spoiler
Daryl's brother turned out to be a hallucination. It was a great way to bring him back for an episode however...still leaves room to bring him back in person too.

I'm beginning to think like Shane now. It's been so long, it's only logical to think that Sophia's dead and devoured. Also, what about that car that said "Stay here, we'll come everyday" they left on the highway? They didn't check back on that. What if she went there?

It's such a sloppy search, and it's been going on for nearly half the season. Previously on the series, we've only been with a society for one episode, or maximum two episodes. The CDC and those bunch of gangsters protecting the elderly. How come they've stayed here for so long? The show has definitely slowed down considerably. If there was something I found more interesting on TV these days, I'd probably stop watching Walking Dead.

So, seems everythings came out in this latest episode.

Though i was majorly disappointed that after the last scene of previous episode, Where the barn doors are being shook violently, nothing happened. I was hoping for a mini zombie outbreak with Sophia leading the charge.

Im now hoping the next episode is a bit more exciting. Due to all the diffrent things that have been revealed, im hoping the group splits.

Spoiler

Hopefully, Shane and the blonde cow leave camp. Wouldnt like to see Shane leave, but it would be worth it to get rid of her.

Hopefully, The brunette cow does swallow the pills and save us having to listen to a baby crying. If she doesnt, i know what the next series is gonna be about. Raising a kid in a zombie world. Good ten episodes of mothercare i reckon.

Hopefully Daryl gets off his ass (the young kid got shot and had major surgery ffs and hes back up) and goes back to giving me a reason to watch.

Hopefully the woman feeding the chickens to the walkers falls in. Just for the sake of it.

Hopefully the zombies then break out of the barn with a taste for flesh, With Sophia leading the charge.

Do i hope for too much?

Way too much. But I wish something like that happens too.

Spoiler
I could sense the sixual tension between Shane and Andrea ever since he first showed her how to clean her gun. Knew something like that would happen, but I don't know why Dale got all fussy about it. Things have definitely gotten more volatile in this last episode, but still not much action. Though I thought Glenn killing that walker in the store was probably the most badass scene in the entire season.

I forgot dale. Add him onto the list for something bad, not horrible, just bad to happen to. I was gonna say i thought he got annoyed
Spoiler
because he knew/knows about shane and lorry and now he's just moved on to her. But he seemed to understand about them, so  Perhaps hes just annoyed everyone else is having six and hes not. He'll prob be riding the cancer woman by the end of this season if it keeps going.

It always makes me feel a little sad when a series that started out so well starts to fall into the abyss. :(
There are still moments, and I'm still hoping, but yeah....

Yeah, seriously. In the comics was it this much of a soap opera? I mean they kind of skimmed over the action with Shane and the blonde, I have no idea why they were there. By action I mean the shooting. ;) Probably not going to watch season three. I'm sure they'll throw in some cliff hanger where they're going to head into some action, but it'll likely end up being a skirmish followed by many episodes of soap opera-like drama.

Yeah kinda, I found the farm house issues to be kinda dull as well so in that respect I guess they are keeping loyal to the source material. If it keeps going like it is then I predict they will be leaving soon. No one wants to stay with a guy who keeps pet zombies and he really won't want them around if/when they clear out the barn. Once they leave
Spoiler
they take Hershels kids, well his daughter at least, with them

and the survival part will start up again. There should be enough episodes to show
Spoiler
them moving into the gated community. Those walls help keep walkers out, but it works both ways!

Besides they still have to find
Spoiler
Tyresse and Julie

before they
Spoiler
get to the prison. I'm half way hoping that the prison reveal is the "cliffhanger" at the end of this season. That way all of season 3 can focus on the prison, Michonne and The Governor story arch.

Oh and somewhere in there
Spoiler
Carl has to kill Shane! :gun:

So that we find out that what Dr. Jenner whispered to Rick at the end of season 1 was
Spoiler
and I'm totally guessing on this but it makes sense to me that
Spoiler
everyone inherently has the disease and everyone who dies becomes a zombie no matter what. They are all the Walking Dead!

Lol condensed version.

I liked the new episode.

Though I'm not one for the more dramatic, soap opera-esqe style of the new season, I'm still enjoying it. I think it mirrors the comic a bit more because it focuses on the themes of man vs man and man vs himself. The zombies are just a constant in the world there living in and serve as a type of X factor.

Yes the sophia thing is annoying but w/ what happened to carl at least that gives them fairly good reasons to remain stationary.

I know most everyone dislikes the static location. But if you were a z-day survivor, why would you want to leave a fairly safe location on a gamble? As long as no one in the group is dying, isn't that post z-day success?

On a side note:

How much easier would survival be if the group was just daryl, glenn and dale? Maybe glenn's new lady friends as well. She seems capable.

Daryl for his offensive and survival / hunting skills. Glenn for scavin' and gathering. Dale for mechanical know how and level headedness. That's my walking dead "A-Team."

Everyone else has so much f-ing baggage. I like rick, but w/ lori and carl, they are such crutches. Shane is useful but koo-koo. Andrea is dramatic dead weight, i don't care if she kind of learned to shoot straight. Sophia's mom? What does she do besides laundry and she has sophia as baggage. Black dude, can't even remember his name, hasn't made any real contributions.

Oooh, how'd Rick react? :o

@Ratt- Eh, I dont want to see the series go 'LOL WE KILLIN TEH ZOMBEHS!'. I just want to see a more survival aspect, something to show the day to day struggles outside the drama. Yes tensions are fine, but all I see these days is a love triangle.

Edit: I'm rooting for Dale as my survival protagonist, the others seem to find someway to annoy me. Well, not the black and asian guy, those two are decent people, the rest are like you said, emotional baggage to the point of anger for me.

He was a bit pissed about her
Spoiler
not telling him about the pregnancy straight away, but he said he'd support her whatever her decision and wouldn't have forced her to keep it if she didn't want to (but he definitely wants to keep it)

But I thought it was super sweet when
Spoiler
he said he knew that she and Shane had had a "thing" the whole time. He said he understood that she thought he was dead, but it clearly tore him up too.
Did not expect that reaction at all!

That sounds like something I'd begrudgingly do. It's good of Rick to embrace the reality of the situation instead of railing against it.

Well that wasn't quite the cliffhanger ending I was expecting but I guess I should have. My only complaint is that I now have to wait until February to see what happens next. I expect we will see the group getting back on the road again in the next few episodes.

Yeah, it's pretty lame that they're cutting the season in half. Am I the only one that didn't know they were going to do this? Why not just have called all of this season two, and have the episodes in February season three. Glad they'll be going on the road, though...In season 2.5.

Yeah, I would've liked if this was episode three or somewhere around there. There was a lot of drama which turned me off. This could have accelerated the rest of the season, but they decided to have it happen half way through.

I think "can't wait" would be overstating my feelings for the rest of the season, but I'm interested.

Eh, possibly. But I have to wonder if they REALLY knew. I mean, they never showed a picture of her, never gave a real description, just said 'girl in our party is missing, we have to find her'. That said, I felt bad for Hershel, and in the next episode scene it looked alot like that barn massacre just completely broke him down. I hate Shane, he's such a dike. I wish he'd just leave the group, I thought he was going to kill my broski Dale at first, so Im glad that didnt happen.

Just watched the season sneak peak courtesy of Hell on Wheels.
Spoiler
They're saying that Otis might have put Sophia in the barn. The thing about what you said is, that if you're saying you're looking for a little girl, and have one in the barn...You'd at least let them see if she was who they're looking for. There's no excuse for keeping her a secret. They feed the zombies, and it's unlikely one of them didn't notice her. Hershel deserved what happened, in my opinion. If he wasn't so secretive they'd might have worked something out. Shane's concern was understandable, I mean, they were camping right near the barn. Should the doors have gave way, it would have been a massacre just like the night when Andrea's sister died. Keeping zombies 'alive' is pointless, given what we know from their adventures thus far. Hopefully Hershel gets that now. I also don't like Dale after what he did with the guns and how he's been acting toward Andrea and Shane. I guess we just have polar views about the show.

I agree with the first part of what you said, but the fact that Shane seems like he's just going more and more crazy makes me a bit less sympathetic towards him. Seems like he could snap and kill someone at any time, I think Dale would be right to be concerned about him.

Spoiler
You have a point on the girl thing, I mean there's always the possibility that he just never put two and two together, but I doubt it. As to the whole barn thing, I disagree with the possibility of a cure too, but the barn giving way is a poor arguement. They had the barn extremely secured and they never made noise unless they saw people or heard noise, and what caused the doors to break? Shane's overly barbaric survival tendencies. yes Shane is a survivor, but he's rutheless, a snake eyed man as it were. He's barely if by a thread still hanging on to his humanity. The guy is practically feral >_>

As for Dale, I was rooting for him since the get go, and my AMC quiz says Im the Dale of the group, so I guess I'm rooting for a much older me
