Werewolves are weaker than Vampire Lords! (it needs a simple

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 5:13 am

Nah. I trust Bethesda with this. I'm sure that, in practice, both werewolves and the vampire lords will be balanced out.

Besides, we haven't seen the full extent at what either side can do yet. We've learnt plenty about the vampire lords, but the werewolves have been seldom talked about, beyond that they are going to be adding a skill tree to them.

Some emoticons should help me determine your attitiude. And yes, I am sorry. In my mothertongue "watch your mouth" is a quarrel-trigger. I just overinterpreted your words.

...and that's why I use them,:D Maybe it's [censored] but it saves a lot of trouble.

ON-TOP: I wish that Bethesda would reintroduce and buff silver weapons it would balance a lot

They also can move much much faster than Vampire Lords can.

Doubt it.

Vampire Lords can float (Beth took great pains to stress the speed of this form of travel in E3 interviews), slow down time around them and teleport... I'm sure somebody will test who can get from A to B quickest when the DLC comes out, but my money is on Vampire Lords.

Vampire lords would need an equivalent werewolf alpha type to be balanced with. A vampire lord should not be equal with a werewolf, vampire lords should be stronger. It is a master of dark magic and a number of advanced techniques.

Compared to the vamp lord (form what i've seen!) Werewolves need a bit of buff

Vampire lord is IMO only a vampire strain not a completly new vampire-ruling supreme beings.
Remember: Vampire lords NOT regular vampires will have a skill tree like werewolves.

And as I suppose there aren't any leadership order in the Werewolves packs. Of course it would make them a lot more interesting.

how? vampire lords replenish their health, mana etc more quickly, have more active powers that are more combat friendly, have no timeconstraints and could float above river etc and spam ranged drain/summon/other attack.....yep wwolves with my suggestions will certainly be hella lot better than Nosferatus:D

Balance will be fine. New perks and power for both is great.

I already destroy everything as a vanilla werewolf, and do very well as a regular vampire, but the VL will be awesome as well.

Also, remake this thread around June 30th and then we'll talk.

hmmm we dont know anything yet about the new improvements to werewolves ( aside from the few things ). and technically before the update to vampires in dawnguard one could say that Werewolves are OP .... so now the playing field is equal i guess when it comes to Werewolves and Vampires .

plus its not about who's more powerful , it was more about the fact that Vampires in Skyrim were under developed .

I don't think you understood him; he asked if you wanted werewolves to be stronger than VLs and you ranted on about how werewolves are weaker than VLs. Perhaps I'm missing something here but I don't think you're disagreeing, just missing each other's point slightly. Like an old man who's trying to play dodgeball but has a bad leg.

I know but: it's probably only extending the current basis, giving no counter-werebeasts enemies/weapons

That's not a fact. At all. And extremely unlikely with the entire perk tree they are getting. And Todd Howard in an interview saying that they have some plans for Werewolves.

1.They would be balanced as taking moderate sun damage.(explained by being "a very dark and pure" type of vampire)

No no no to sun damage , they made it a debuff for a reason , in Oblivion you took sun damage and it svcked , it made being a vampire unplayable for me , you only allowed out during the night makes your travel very limited and you can't go into peoples houses or shops without trespassing so you can't sell things or finish quests

Werewolves are still "squishy" in Dawnguard, due to lack of Armor Rating.

Maybe they did it on purpose, it's their game. Nobody said that they had to be equals.
Could be simply that vampire lords are more dangerous than common werewolves.

This. Sun damage was horrible to work with; besides, any vampire worth their salt would be affected by the sun but wouldn't drop down dead because somebody opened a curtain. They're better than that.

It also meant you couldn't wait or quick-travel because you were taking health damage. Well, you *could* wait but the results weren't very nice to think about.

Here's the funny part: It would affect ONLY vampire lords!!!:D They have more health than untransformed PC and their transformation should be and will be used mainly to fight(i.e. drain lifeforce). It would work just like werewolf feeding to lenghten his state(vamp lord would virtually fight for his survival by constantly replenishing his diminishing health)

If OP is correct, then Werewolves are less than human, and far less than Vampires.

Everything is as it should be.

Oh... that must be what it was.

Could we open a window or something? Or make a rug out of it?

We must make the world fit for proper Vampires to inhabit, and that means that all Werewolves and sparkly, Emo, Vampire pretenders must die.

Don't complain world, that's just how it has to be.

Have you ever used sprint on a werewolf? Assuming there isn't alot of cutting corners and it's a straight drag race from A to B, Werewolves can't be beat in speed. This is sprinting, not regular walking, btw.
