Werewolves are weaker than Vampire Lords! (it needs a simple

Oh... that must be what it was.

Could we open a window or something? Or make a rug out of it?

We must make the world fit for proper Vampires to inhabit, and that means that all Werewolves and sparkly, Emo, Vampire pretenders must die.

Don't complain world, that's just how it has to be.

Werewolves are fine. Totem of the moon lets werewolves summon another werewolf. Plus, their other howls are upgraded to match high level spells and all of their abilities get better.

How humble of you to recognize our Vampiric superiority. You will make a fine servant.

I would like to see an Alpha Werewolf. One which had an ability to strafe jump out of the way of attacks, that alone would make it a far more formidable opponent.

Werewolves are going to be given the ability to summon other werewolves from what I understand so thats pretty much makes werewolves almost overpowered more than vampire lords in my opinion.

Imagine they reconfigured the werewolves so that they attacked using the four legged sprint and then pounced on the victim. Eeeeek! Skyrim would be a totally more dangerous place.

Yup, now imagine 2 or 3 AI controlled werewolves doing it... could a Vamp Lamp withstand that sort of damage? I really do think Werewolves need an overhaul to make them a much bigger challenge, but a Vamp Lord should always be a hardman in it's own right. I think this comes down to old complaint about TES that when you reach a certain level the game no longer provides a challenge. I hope the overhaul of Werewolves is extensive and Vamp Lords are given a boost as well. Bethesda probably do realise that there will be Level 81's playing this game when the DLC is available.

Well Wolves should be hunting in packs but Vamp Lords work alone (besides their minions) so VL are supposed to be a stronger force when alone

Werewolves are still "squishy" in Dawnguard, due to lack of Armor Rating.
From what we can tell Vampire Lords also lack armor, but because they fight mainly from range using dark powers its not as big an issue.

The werewolf is evenly matched with the Vamp Lord. A player who knows how to use either form and takes advantage of the perks will be incredibly powerful. Each one plays very differently though. In a straight up hand to hand the werewolf is near unstoppable as is the case with the vamp lord and his magic. They are both insanely fun and totally different but both forms make you feel like the boogey man :)

There is one thing thats still missing for the Werewolf,no armor rating or basic protection of any kind.At least as far as i can tell.So either the new maxed out Werewolf will deal hundrets of damage or it will be killed as easily as the old version becouse it has basicly no armor. Not that impressed so far.

Are either of them getting any sort of armor rating, or do we have to have insane amounts of health to avoid being ripped to shreds?

To the OP- The demo made Vampire Lords look more powerful, but that's partially out of the fact that every ability we saw from them was new, and we didn't see any new abilities for the Werewolves. I'll reserve judgement for the time being until I can judge the two forms side by side with actual experience.

Hay the werewolves and vampires are not the only thing ya know. There will probably be vampires and werewolves to fight and having one that is stronger than the other will make this game more fun

Hehe, boogey man sound good to me.But how do you play/use the Werewolf 2.0 ?
Like REL_Dovahkin said, without any protection you would need a large health pool.

Can you answer this one simple question will werewolves have armor, he can't stay out of melee like the vampire lord so he needs defenses which so far have been lacking.

Right now, a werewolf has to use power attacks and leap attacks to keep enemies on the ground. It's a great form of crowd control. With the perks, werewolves will be able to kill much faster, have more health, heal more from feeding, have much stronger howls, and more that we don't know.

I know but: it's probably only extending the current basis, giving no counter-werebeasts enemies/weapons

So you admit that you have no real basis for this thread and could be freaking out over nothing? Good to know. Carry on.

As character artist, I hereby thank you for the appearance of vampire lords. They look menacing! Maybe not as menacing as the were bear though...

Werewolves are definitely more durable, one thing to keep in mind though is that they are beasts and they deal an incredibly amount of damage when perked. The other thing is that they have some very powerful howls the fastest speed AND most important of all they have incredibly powerful knock downs which affect pretty much every creature in Skyrim even in there current form. I have not come across anything I could not kill as a werewolf even before the DLC perks went in. You have to know how to play as one and think more as a very agile, powerful hunting animal rather than a fully armored dude.
