So What Are You Doing In Skyrim #2

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 5:29 pm

I just finished the Mages guild quest line. I've been going around gathering all of the Shouts. Once I get them I plan on doing the Dark Brotherhood as well (actually I need to to get the last shout). I don't get as much game time in as I'd like so this has been a slow process.

My Dark Elf, Faedin, just traveled to Raldbthar to eliminate Alain Dufont for the DB. Never done these missions on any other character before and I will say I am having ALOT of fun.

I just killed him not long ago, then decided to dive deeper into the Dwemer Ruin to hopefully find some loot. BAD idea.. this place is sooo infested with Dwarven Guardian Spheres and Falmer it might as well be called "Raldreach"..

After being killed several times by a Falmer Skulker.. I've decided to just turn around and walk out. This char. is too weak to handle all this crap on his own! Lol.

If you were an Orc you probably wouldn't have that problem.

Brunjild Hanin has decided to relax in Nightgate Inn after an incident in Ironblind Barrow. A Breton Noble and her gaurdian were at the entrance to the barrow and assisted Brunjild in clearing the ruin, but the Nobles gaurdian was more interested in using Brunjild and the Noble for a dark sacrifice. The axe hanging on the back of the throne saved her life, being too dependant on Mana is a a Mages great weakness, and the bodygaurd had let her do the bulk of the casting intentionally, but he forgot how proficient Nords are when wielding two handed weapons.
Brunjild is scared by her ability to understand what a word in a language and writing that is all but forgotten means. These "Word Walls" are fairly common in Skyrim, being distracted by glowing letters has her nervous, how much time had she spent transfixed by the glowing letters? The Innkeeper has shown her the quickest way to get to Winterhold, and mentioned that she may find some members of the College at an excavation on the other end of the pass to the North.

After becoming Master of the Thieves' Guild, Athena is now traversing through all of Skyrim, investing in every store possible to establish more connections in the Holds. She hopes to create a vast enough network that she'll be able to get goods from anywhere to anyone in Skyrim.

Went on a werewolf rampage, then changed back and killed a regular Dragon outside of Fort Greymoor. Turned myself in from an old bounty I somehow got.

Decided it was time to do a jail break.

Downloaded this WARZONE mod:

Veronica did her usual roaming around Fort Greymoor, when a huge campaign between the imperials and stormcloaks started. I'd say it must have been 20 npcs. Instead of watching them kill each other, she decided to blast them all with her newest spell Iceberg. But she didn't know that all of them would get pissed and charge straight at her!

Stay tuned for more..

Scargia Eil Bey went exploring.
Found a farmer taking a painted cow as a offering to giants.
Tailed him for a bit.
Left him to his flying to the moon fate, when he starting going back the way he came, after finding no giants at sleeping tree camp.

Went to Solitude.
Joined the imperial legion.

Found Rijorns drum in a cave. Left it, hopefully the quest won't bug out this time.

Got drunk with a man called Sam Guevine.
Decided to see what she did, because she could'nt remember.
Had to kill a giant called Grok to get a goat back.
Poor Grok. I want to be friends with giants, at least not kill them.

This is why looking in on Niamh's world is always varied:
Having offered - (because he's an Elf) - to take Viola's ring and place it in her house, no harm no foul, Niamh decides Revyn's looked at her wrong. In fairness she was naked and covered in blood - but I doubt very much whether that would have stopped either of us making a (fatal) pass at her.
He didn't, but he sealed his fate nonetheless.
After several frustrating attempts to pick the lock to Viola's house, which included the death of a guard out of sheer irritation, she just shopped him in the end to Viola - serves him right.

At the same time, and after having first dismissed the problems of the humans just as all the other Elves did, she randomly decides to help solve the murders of the human girls.
For absolutely no reason at all, and currently no reward.

Other things - the Midden of Winterhold College is a strange place indeed to have an Epiphany but nevertheless Niamh is a strange woman. She realised that fighting her apparent destiny as a mage was kind of pointless. The rebellious streak is very much still there though so she'll get there in her own sweet time.
The magic flows ever stronger in her though, wild as it always will be but like all those with magic she feels drawn to focal points of it, so in many ways she can't help herself. Though she's obstinate, obdurate, tempestuous and thoroughly random, she realises that much and so for the moment at least she'll allow that path to take her where it will...

Mael finished a job for Falk Firebeard, and then attempted to make his way to Riften to try and sell off some potions and poisons he created. Mael stopped at a small farm to rest and have a bite while a courier came up to him and gave him a letter. It was from Falk Firedbeard, asking Mael's assistance once again. He reluctantly made his way back to Solitude to see what Falk needed.

Well it was inevitable.
After what felt like months of successfully avoiding the Whiterun Guards, Niamh was finally caught in Rorikstead. This time, it did indeed seem like fighting was a bad idea so off to Dragonsreach she went. 2 failed escapes later she was more or less forced by circumstance to do time.
Needless to say she's now in the pub.
To top it all the bounty was only worth 100 gold and some stupid cow kept badgering her about the Jarl. Niamh has nothing to say to him, so there was a dragon. She's seen things that would make his pansy-ass toes curl...

Sounds good. :) It' s a Zombunny, lol.

Explored the more forsworn filled areas of skyrim.
Started wishing forsworn armour was less skimpy, shiver. Going to ahve to start fighting in her clothes, or get some hammerfell garb.

Turned Saadia in for betraying Hammerfell.
Scargia was'nt so patriotic, had no problem with the thalmor. But damaging Taneths defences, when they held strong, that is wrong!
Anyway, Saadia, was clearly lying, and that pissed her off.
She liked Kematu, he's a cool guy.
Turned in Ogmund for talos worship. She did'nt like the guy anyway. And something that makes that sixy thalmor agent in the palace friendly, worth it.

Became a werewolf.

Saving her gold too get the 100,000 gold trophy.

Veronica has been arrested 4 times, broken out of jail 2 out of the 4. She is currently on the run after wiping out all the whiterun guards in the barracks.

Derik is taking a break after deafeating Ulfric and buying a house in Windhelm, He and Erik The Slayer are currently moving some of Derik's thing's from Breezehome.

Dalhia Mordant ( future assassin )http://i1254.photobucket.com/albums/hh611/Trace9569/HPIM1555.jpg is on her way back to Windhelm from Riften. She's spent most of the day on a ledge taking potshots at a cave bear that wounded her gravely. After finally getting in the killing shot on the bear, she went to investigate the cabin that she saw burning. Finding the remains of a would be mage was rather depressing. To top off her night she spent it sitting on the steps of the burning cabin as their was no moons out to help light her way. The morining saw her on the way to Windhelm. She hopes to find a camp or village on the way as she thinks it might be to far to make in one day.

Scargia Eil Bey is deciding which house to buy.
Will get Breezehome, probabely, till she can buy the house in windhelm.
Can't ge them all, need to get 100,000g for the trophy.

Found some scaled horn armour, it's not that good, looks ok, but not good enough, so upgraded her forsworn armour. Forsworn looks awesome, if chilly.

The quest freaked out for Blood On The Ice, so sold the amulet to Calixto Corriam. He can continue ressurecting his sister. I have no problem with him bringing her back to life.
I like him, he's cool. And he adored his sister, which is good.
Shame you can't help him ressurect her.

Met Astrid. Cool lady. Will join the dark brotherhood.

Joined the college of winterhold.

Telina has finally restored the Nighting Gales back to their former Glory. Now to start helping out around the thieves guild.

Oh and Uthgerd died. Telina mourned for an entire week before budging. She actually sat around the body, trying to use her flimsy 'staff of the Zombie' on Uthgerd's body, and cried when it did nothing.

Thanks for bumping! :)

Varnis stepped out into Skyrim today. He's my second Breton, but this time I'm playing an archer. He's yet to leave Falkreath hold - after escaping Helgen, he roamed the wilderness until he found Falkreath, the town itself. He'd run out of arrows while trying to shoot down some bandits, so he's just left the Blacksmith and is sitting in the inn, pondering why the Eight sent him to this godsforsaken province.

Jerian Vautrine is finally taking on Fellglow Keep. He's just conquered the exterior, with the help of Uthgerd and his flame atronach. Soon he hopes to have the books Urag needs, and perhaps he'll finally come to understand what that orb from Saarthal is.

I just switched from 360 to PS3. I've been playing on the 360 since release, but that crapbox has eaten two of my Skyrim discs. I swear, if you even SLIGHTLY nudge the table that the Slim is sitting on and it engraves a thick ring into your disc. On a side note, the graphics on the PS3 ended up being astoundingly sharper than the 360. At least from my perspective.

So basically, I'm starting over completely. It's fun getting all of the trophies/achievements again.

I'm also working on creating a thief assassin, a warrior, a mage in anticipation of the new DLC. I've also got a roleplay dead is dead character going. DiD really changes the game.

Eyes-Of-War, Archmage of the college of Winterhold is currently at Sky Haven temple, After having recently dealt with the Ancano situation, he's now assessing the threat that is Alduin and feels he needs to take action soon, or his world will be devoured, as if there is no world, there's nothing to rule over with an iron fist. The two senior citizens who are supposed to be helping him say he needs to learn some specialty shout in order to best this particular dragon, but he's reluctant to climb all the way back up to High Hrothgar right away, as he finds the Greybeards to be foolish old pacifists who have thus far provided him little to no power at all. He's also getting a little sick of taking orders from all these old fools and fully intends to horribly maim all of them once they stop being useful to him.

My Breton Jess is rounding up her adventures in Skyrim. After 260 hours and at level 67, she has only the Companions to finish and then she'll call it a day and retire to a farm in Rorikstead, her favorite town, with Onmund, her husband.

Practically this means that I'm going to move on to another game soon - I've been playing this one exclusively since release day and it's been the most fun I've ever had with a video game, but I'm getting tired of it now. I've seen everything and done every quest except the TG (and the DB, which I destroyed). I think I'll return to Skyrim in a year or so, when all the DLC is out and it feels fresh again. Then I'll start a new character and role-play someone who is so disillusioned at being send to her execution upon arrival, that she seeks refuge with the Thieves' Guild before discovering her Dragonborn blood. Gives me the perfect excuse to start with my one untouched quest line before getting into the more epic dragon stuff. :)

What is it they say? So long, and thanks for all the fish! :)

Zigfried and his wife Uthgardt just returned to solitude after wandering the pale for a number of days, He's gathering ower and knowledge before going looking for an Elder Scroll.

Myrveen my dark elf has added windhelm to the holds she is wanted in, but has finally found a place to belong where she can be safe in the dark brotherhood while she continues her study of the Deadric Princes.

Brynhyvar is wandering the Reach stewing angrily over being thrown in Cidna Mine and causing trouble.
