I personally like the "old timey" music, as someone else said it something you would never listen to otherwise. If you don't like the music listen to a different radio station, like Agatha's or don't listen to anything.

Though if there was a feature that allowed you to play your own music it would be fine, as long as the default setting was along the lines of FO:3 ("old timey" songs).

Power metal, death metal, doom metal, folk/viking metal, trash metal, progressive metal... ANY METAL MUSIC!!!(and some hard rock) :rock:

they can add death metal to the radio stations for all i care (although please don't, some early elvis (although a little cliche) would suit the neon lights of new vegas) aslong as the score is done by inon zur brilliant work on FO3 he is a musical legend.

I love Mad World! Dammit, how old is that song? Probably not old enough... but they could make a small exception, couldn't they? It would fit the post-apocalyptic feel wonderfully, I think, what with it being a "Mad world".

Weeping Willow by Ella Fitzgerald. It actually sounds like something that would be in a Fallout game.

I wouldn't mind hearing a little Inkspots, they're always a classic. But I'd like to hear songs with a rythm pace like 'Jingle Jangle Jingle' by Kay Kyser had. I had never heard that song before, and when I first saw the E3 New Vegas trailer, I felt kind of like tapping my foot to that song xD

Only reason I would love to see the option of adding your own music to be mixed up on the radio station and played randomly is that I have some songs that I think would go great but they are alittle too new, one of them is from the early - mid 60`s but it doesnt have that 50`s feel like most of the music in FO3 had.

Some instrumental, early 30's-50's jazz. Nothing to get you pumped up about storming that raider hideout than some saxophone.

Fallout 1 & 2 each had exactly one 'oldie' (the title tracks), the rest of the entire track selections (24 tracks!) were ambient/ new wave/tribal/industrial/atmospheric. (not 50's at all)

We'd have to ask Chris Avellone and Tim Cain I suppose, but I didn't get the impression that Fallout could only have 50's music. :shrug: (though I could be wrong)

Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind some ambient background music I could actually hear without having to crank my volume all the way up. I didn't even know Fallout 3 had background music until I went to the Pitt.

Which is fine. As long as it's not modern music. I probably should've made it more clear in my earlier post that ambient music is always okay.

Along with the '30s--50s music they used in FO3, I'd like some '50s-'60s country too. For example, Hank Williams Sr's version of "Lost Highway" would be a perfect song for Fallout.
