i dont have many friends either, mostly cause im a self avowed [censored]. i wouldnt bother with online friends, im willing to bet that almost all of the "female" members here are really overweight, balding, sweaty old dudes sitting in their basemant in their underoos.

I don't seem to be able to fit in any where. I'm nice to most people but that just doesn't seem to matter because they always run away or turn on me eventually. I've been coming here for years, on two different accounts, and I've never made one friend here. I added someone awhile back(Amazon Queen) but she removed me. I guess I didn't talk enough....

I suffer from agoraphobia, social anxiety, and depression, so it's difficult going out in the real world to make friends. It's getting difficult to make friends online too...everyone seems so stuck up, shallow, and snobby. I'm losing hope in going on...little by little...day by day. I think I'll just lock myself away for the rest of my life untill my heavy smoking and drinking (hopefully) kills me.

Snobby, shallow, stuckup? On this forum? Noooo. We are one big happy family here, and your welcome here anytime, once you get more into the community you'll love it.

For the mean time how about this. Pessimists say life is a negative. Optimists say life is a positive.
Either way, life is.

[edit] unless that is, and I think we covered this somewhere, it is actually a skeptic pessimistic (+ one other philosophic word that started with an s) outlook.

And if you're living a life outside the 3rd world, and have a roof over your head, food on your table, clothes on your back, a bed to go to at night, and a family with friends as well, life doesn't svck. If you have two or all of that, then you have no right to say life svcks because if you've been to a 3rd world nation, you'll see what real sorrow is, and why life would really svck.

If he wants to let despair consume him, let him; misery only wants company. Plus, this thread should be the OP to open up, not argue that life is or is not pointless.

For the OP, just do w/e here. Get on a topic, respond to it, and blah. I never visited this section till a year or so after spending time in the TES section, usually in the Oblivion, General, or Lore sections. I visit here quite a bit, and I've gotten familiar with a lot of guys and gals here, a bunch of which I have had discussions with on topics of lore, arguing with loyalist dogs, or general questions.

As what Decard Cain always says, "Stay awhile and listen."

Well for work, it's got to be a tie (I usually wear a bow-tie because it's my own fashion statement :P and some somewhat nice clothes.) Besides that, I'm all with ya.

Maybe you're missing the point; a dissenting opinion isn't automatically incorrect.
The OP said life is pointless... I agreed... a bunch of optimists started debating with me.... Feel free to show me where I'm missing the point.

Its not about being an optimist, its about not being a sniveling dunderheaded moper.

I don't have to see the sunshine and butterflies, but damnit, I'm not going to whine, cry, and mope about the things that do svck. The world does svck, but the only reason people aren't extinct is because our parents, and their parents before them, saw something worth living for in this world, and I wouldn't be so surprised if us ourselves were that very reason.

So STOP WORRYING

AND BE HAPPY
