What's the point anymore?

Just act like a jerk and make too many repetitive comments on every thing.

Works for me.

Wait..no it doesn't,no one here likes me!D:<

Seriously though,we love you!..or some of us..2% of us..or something like that!...LOVE YOU! :hugs:

Unless you read a few of the posts and decided that none of this is helpful, lol-worthy, or otherwise.

I mean, maybe it is just me, but I vote that the garbage out weighs the treasure everyday and everytime.

Edit... and everybody just keeps trying to jam cookies down your throat... thanks for the type II diabetes....

I don't seem to be able to fit in any where. I'm nice to most people but that just doesn't seem to matter because they always run away or turn on me eventually. I've been coming here for years, on two different accounts, and I've never made one friend here. I added someone awhile back(Amazon Queen) but she removed me. I guess I didn't talk enough....

I suffer from agoraphobia, social anxiety, and depression, so it's difficult going out in the real world to make friends. It's getting difficult to make friends online too...everyone seems so stuck up, shallow, and snobby. I'm losing hope in going on...little by little...day by day. I think I'll just lock myself away for the rest of my life untill my heavy smoking and drinking (hopefully) kills me.

I don't have any friends on this forum.

The only time I get private message is when I get warned

If I don't send someone a message I don't get one.

Most of my posts go ignored too,

I wouldn't call this thread a love fest, just some forum regulars having some fun, and even some helpful comments woven in. I am not someone who would ever be labeled "cheery", or particularly optimistic or anything. But I also think it is an utter waste of time to be bitter and angry about things and view everything with a negative skew. Everyone goes through periods like that though, where they do feel that way, but most people tend to find a balance and get busy living. :)

And even then, you still take up too much space with all that chocolate you have been eating recently.

However, chaos is open to all :chaos: . But don't expect me to welcome those weak and pathetic Slaaneshi or Tzeentch cultists, I'LL KILL THEM! THEIR HEADS FOR THE BLOOD GOD! THEIR BODIES A HOME TO NURGLE'S MINIONS! AHAHAHAHAHA!

Aggravating, banol, grotesque and humiliating yes, but that's exactly why its not pointless. You have to take the rough with the smooth or you don't know how deep the potholes are.

I'd say the same about upbeat, optimistic, positive slants.
I'd call myself a realist anyhow.

If you think life svcks, it will. If you only see the negatives in life you surely going to be miserable, friendless, etc. You have to seek out the things that make you happy or reassure your faith in humanity. Go see a Pixar movie or something, moping about and being emo isn't going to help you.

OP: The best (only) way to get to know people is to talk about personal topics. Game forums aren't really conducive to that, but community discussion is. Read and comment on seemingly pointless threads, try to offer advice or comment on how a response makes you feel ("I lol'd" is often enough). If you participate in the community, you'll start getting to know people and may consider them your friend. the friend list means nothing here, really - I only friend people who I PM or need to reference often. Since this is your thread, you should be posting in it.

You might also consider different forms of communication. I've found that I connect much better over IRC, as it is a less censored and more immediate form of conversation. I believe the official channel is #elderscrolls on chatspike, but I could be wrong. You'd be surprised how small talk connects you, and how it can lead into real, meaningful conversation.

[edit] I noticed you post most in the Mods forum - perhaps consider joining a mod team? there are many different teams and many different things to do, and working with a team certainly makes you feel like part of the community. I met some of my best friends over at TR.

There always has been and always will [censored] in the world. Fixating on it will help no one, least of all yourself.

Actually, I was laughing my ass off while the 3 chicks I was with were bawling their eyes out. I officially have no heart

yep. I don't visit it often though, my main hangouts are #tamriel on chatspike (TR's channel) and #erfworld on treeofworlds (of Erfworld, the webcomic). both great, laid back places, btw.

Not over here, but UES and some other forums have them.

For some reason this thread is reminding me of my own issues connecting with others.

The OP can't do anything to change that, there's no reason why she should become a pariah because the world isn't 100% laughs and sunshine.

Poor OP will come back to reply to 10 posts and find a closed thread, another party missed. In the kitchen again. I found the kitchen a great place to chat people up incidentally, cos if they follow you there it's an encouragement, you can open the fridge for extra lighting and it's quieter.

If you are going to be doing this, go down and fix it. Join a group to get it fixed. Anything really. Fixating on the failures of everyone without lifting a finger does nothing but add hot air.

The world isn't going to get better by sitting on your butt and moaning how terrible it is. Get out of the house and do something. If you already are, put more effort in it. If you constantly view the world negatively, it'll only be a world of despair. Thinking and doing things for others helps; I suggest joining an organization that does such a thing.

most of my friends h ere have sprung from music discussions, the football thread, our Age of Empires 2 games, and Werewolf games (from this you can ascertain that Fighters Brotherhood stalks me a lot :P).

It's true. I actually like underground hip-hop, baseball, Age of Empires 3 and Vampire games but I pretend to like the others because of Undone.

What about the members that are older than her?

I didn't know their were people older than Summer? (Don't ban me!)

Also, I agree with a lot of what Undone said. About 50% of my posts in CD have come in the Werewolf, Footie and AoE Threads and because of that I feel like I'm well known within those circles and I get on well with pretty much everyone within those circles. That's mainly because we have a shared interest so we don't have to talk about how much of an enormous dike I am but it's cool :P
