What's the point anymore?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:38 pm

Don't worry. Me and my best bud(s) on these forums don't even friend button each other. Besides, I think there was an update a while back. That may be what caused it.

The damn update broke everything, my Fleetwood Mac sig, my St George's cross, everything. :brokencomputer:

What is the friendslist actually useful for -sorry for the derailment, shouldn't be a big one..
But yeah, the friends list.. does it have an easier pm finctionality? fringe benefits :hubbahubba: or just the warm cuddly feeling that someone added you to their list?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't. That's why I don't bother. That way, everyone is my friend, and my close friends know who they are. :)

But you're not a complete and utter failure.. You're a mother to every member.

EDIT: Complete and utter spelling fail.

What about the members that are older than her?

Fixed and seconded. Unfortunately I have to wonder if the OP is feeling left out of our little love fest.

The OP is always welcome to take part in any of our many lovefests. I know how it feels to feel left out, and I also know how it feels to realse that they were always happy to have you.

If things don't work out you could always become a mastermind serial-killer, I suppose (the mastermind bit is very important, if you intend to do the second part).

4-6 AM GMT is the the standard time for that sort of thing, there's a black spot in the moderators until Attrebus gets on in the early morning.

Which, of course, helps us prove a point. Even if all of us in this fuzz-fest are very clearly screwed up, there's room for us on these forums. I'm more than 100% sure there's room on these forums for the OP. :)

What's the point?
There isn't one.
Life's a blank and then you die.
Of course, not having friends ain't a bad thing.
People are over-rated.

Bah, that bear is a big softie! (beware - sharp claws may still cause damage)

Oh claws, is it. I've got claws. :D

I don't kill threads... I derail them...

Ya think? Hmmm... has it gone unnoticed? :whistling:

Of my time here, I have never pvssyd with anyone, nor added anyone as a friend. I just hope to threads and stuff and discuss, though my home is the TES lore forums.

But do not despair, http://1d4chan.org/images/9/93/Nurgle_hug.JPG :D

Note to self: do not click on Hellmouth's links while eating chips. Yuck. <_<

Well, thereby hangs a tale, yes? You get out what you put into something like social interaction. Whether it's on a forum or at a party in person. If you plunk yourself in a corner at a party and make no effort to talk to anyone, make eye contact, move around... well at the end of the night you'll leave with nothing to show for it. On an internet forum, there is a degree of anonymity that should make it a little easier to chit-chat, where it might be uncomfortable for some people in person. But you still have to make the effort. I can honestly say that when I joined this forum, I had absolutely no idea that I would be still checking it most days for years, that I would enjoy it so much that I got noticed enough to get asked to moderate, that I would "meet" a lot of different people and come to know them a little bit, that I would learn interesting stuff and otherwise have a fun place to hang out for a bit each day. But it became that because I was putting into it, posting regularly in threads that interested me, talking about games I liked, PM'ing people if they said something funny or interesting to ask more questions. It's not my only social outlet, but I enjoy it, which is probably obvious. :)

OP, if you start a thread like this, you should be posting in it, asking questions, or acknowledging some helpful posts or lol'ing at the ones that amused you.

Edit: Lighten up Francis. (cookie to whoever gets the movie reference)

And even then, you still take up too much space with all that chocolate you have been eating recently.

However, chaos is open to all :chaos: . But don't expect me to welcome those weak and pathetic Slaaneshi or Tzeentch cultists, I'LL KILL THEM! THEIR HEADS FOR THE BLOOD GOD! THEIR BODIES A HOME TO NURGLE'S MINIONS! AHAHAHAHAHA!

Unless you read a few of the posts and decided that none of this is helpful, lol-worthy, or otherwise.

I can't be the only other person that thinks this whole 'life' is pointless, aggravating, banol, grotesque, humiliating and more.
I mean, maybe it is just me, but I vote that the garbage out weighs the treasure everyday and everytime.

Edit... and everybody just keeps trying to jam cookies down your throat... thanks for the type II diabetes....
