What do you think is the funniest reaction a NPC has said? : V - Skyrim

I'm a fan of two-handed weapons and I often use the Great Critical Charge perk. What happens is I usually time it wrong and I end up running into the target before the swinging animation actually happens.

So my foes final words before their brutal death are usually things like a petty 'Be careful!' or 'What's the hurry?' or 'Heeey, watch it!'

Some of the scripted dialogue is funny.
I was in an alchemy store and the woman who ran it asked her assistant to fetch some mandrake root.
Assistant: 'which one is that again?'
Alchemist: 'You know, the one that looks like an ugly little man'
Assistant: 'In that case I think it tried to buy me a drink last night.'

Not sure of exact quote, but when in some barrow or other a mob shouts something like "time for you to die" at the exact moment my mace contacts its head and kills it outright!

On a personal note; I found a very unexpected link to real life! I have a neurological condition that affects my balance and coordination - ataxia. The link in game caught me by surprise to say the least;

White run herbalist / alchemist on my character entering shop "Do I detect a case of the shakes?"

Same NPC 30 seconds later "You look pale, could be ataxia ...."

Run around town in your underwear and you'll get lots of comments. Often you'll get comments in vendor dialog as well.

Nirya (at the college) said, "I'm sure we don't need to see all that! Come back when you are properly attired!"

UKNightWatch, thats the alchemy shop in Whiterun - she says it as a con to everybody as a way to sell potions!

The one that made me laugh was during the companions questline. For those that know what happens i did a mission and afterwards in a town somebody said 'eurgh you smell like wet dog!'

Last night I was fighting a bunch of mages in a place and finally the last mage kills me. As I was going through the silly dying cutscene. She starts going off about me coming here acting like I owned the place and having an attitude.....LOL

I got the "Ooh...pretty colors" line while casting a restoration spell in a shop.

I also accidentally shot Farkas in the face with an arrow and he said, "Watch it, brother.", with an arrow through his head. He didn't seem to be too upset.

I had one odd thing happen. I had just done the final swing with my sword, it was an animated end-of-life sequence when I trust
my sword through the belly of an bandit woman. And while I did it she laughed "ha-ha-ha" and then fell dead to the floor...

Pretty odd behavior I must say.

Yeah - that is the shop and I did realise it was a ruse to try to get people to buy stuff. It just caught me by surprise that ataxia was even mentioned at all as in my experience not many people have even heard of the real life condition! :smile:

I had a toon that was abandoned due to save file errors did the companions thing and got the 'wet dog' quote! I did chuckle at that.

I read about someone else saying that the entire village of Riften was fighting over a gem that their player character just dropped, so I tried this for myself, dropping a ruby on the ground, and a bunch of people just walked by it without interest, except for one who said something along the lines of "Go drop your trash someplace else!" :laugh:

MINOR SPOILERS ON DIBELLA QUEST

For the quest you have to get a little girl caught in a Forwsworn fortress. I killed around 15 Forsworn on the way to her cell, and got her out. She followed me, but proceeded to stand still next to every single body, and scream ''Eeeeh, dead body!'' every time, without fail. One of the funniest things I've encountered so far.

I'm not going to spoiler this because I can't imagine anyone not having done it by now. You're gathered around Irileth while she gives the little pep talk before you and the guards head out for your first dragon encounter. One of them whispers to you "We're so dead".
