I mainly want better and smoother FPS gameplay. The aiming in F3 was very awkward, there were no iron sights, no sprint, no responsive duck buttons, etc. These were the things that bugged me the first time I went throught F3.
I agree that he combat in FO3 wasnt very good. However FO is not supposed to be an FPS,a nd VATS removed any need for iron sights - but some basic cover mechanics and crouching, etc would be appreciated. Running backwards while shooting was half the combat in FO3.
The way I see it they can go 2 ways with the combat:
1. Make it more FPS-y, which would be ok, as long as we realize its still fallout and not borderlands. We don't need exact twith based gameplay, but it does need to be interesting and active.
2. Make it more strategic - take more things into account than jut spamming VATS headshots. This is more of a throwback to turn based combat and we know that aint happening.
Either way, using cover should play a bigger role, and VATS should not = autowin.
