Oh yea, they would be destroyed. No question. I would love to see that war happen. It's coming. There just isnt any avoiding it I dont think.

OH man I'm so excited for Fallout 4:NCR extermination

Which NCR technically shouldn't exist, because I refused to help Ardesh in FO1.

They changed the brotherhood a wee bit to much in fallout 3. I think thats what generated much of the hate. I wanted a brotherhood I had to force to like me. :celebration:

That's why they have the Outcasts. So they can treat you like crap lol. The Brotherhood are kinda rude in the early game,.

Technically, Elijah was not with the BoS at the time. They rejected him, in part, because he was a madman. They also marked him for assassination.

It goes deeper than that. Don't forget that they will strap a bomb around your neck in the Mojave Wasteland as well...unless if I'm not mistaken, you have Veronica with you at the time.

Well Jee, dude, they got like every faction wanting to exterminate them, can you blame them for being a little paranoid? I mean they lost more than half their chapter to the NCR not too long ago.
Cut them some slack.

Well when you are at the bottom of the barrel in any military organization, your treated like crap.

Today we call it, basic training.

Actually we call it a weak justification on your part for suicide missions whilst trying to defend the Brotherhood; needlessly too I might add, God forbid that the Brotherhood not be as white as snow. Cabbot sends you on a suicide mission to the Glow for his own lulz which has already saw three Paladins in T-51b killed. The Brotherhood isn't a military organisation anyway, they are an order, a fraternity with militaristic leanings.

Nothing is as bad(ass) as Sergeant Dornan. My point is, "Oh noes people are slandering the Brotherhood", the Brotherhood does bad things so just deal with it old sport. If people really want to kick up a stink about the slave collar thing (completely valid as far as I am concerned) then that's there damn business.

true they allso give you a very simple task to acess your character, if you resolve the issue peacefully the elder will react positivelly in a way that implies that theyr goal is not for you to kill the ranger but simply make sure theyr location is secure and will not be found by him, after all the NCR did invade Helios it was not provoked by the BoS so in my book i would whant them dead to

The NCR and the BoS already had a pretty much full scale war. The BoS almost won but the NCR just kept throwing men at them. That's something the BoS can't afford since they basically don't recruit.

The Midwest Brotherhood is like the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood. They take in recruits. And according to lore, the midwest Brotherhood is very strong.

humm not the original BoS no they are to stiff to theyr costumes, on the other hand the Midwest BoS is recruting like any other faction so i have to agree NCR woulden't stand a chance figthing them

their presence in NV was perfect. help them if you want, blow their base up. i found it fun overall. maybe them being a minor fascet in this title is an example of their little to no inclusion in upcoming title(s)... though u can't have a allout game without them atleast being refenced.

Lets not forget the BOS members who massacre a Follower's outpost. Or what about the endings when they survive and theres no NCR for them hide from or obey? They go around mugging people for their technology. Does that seem like a 'good' faction?

Also, they're incredibly overused in Fallout.

i only started with FO3, but i've read a lot of the fallout history( not saying i know much), maybe if i'd played all the games i'd feel the same.. i think you're right though people misconstrue the terms iconic and overused. aside from creating a new faction or a branch off one, maybe future titles would reinforce or change their goals + plight. would that be possible given their backstory?

I always felt Fallout 3 was the Brotherhood at their full potential. They had no interest in governing the people of the wasteland or endless conquest like the NCR/Legion, they just served as their protectors.

I think that's as noble as you can get.
